I was listening to Kenny a week before he passed and watched him sing with Lionel on TH-cam a couple of months before that, and then hearing that he passed really hit me. I grew up with Kenny Rogers. There's no words to describe the goosebumps you get listening to this song.
Lionel Richie was an amazing songwriter and Kenny’s voice is just perfect for this song.

My late father loved Kenny Rogers, and used to play the song 'Coward of the county' all the time when I was a child, so it was really good to hear another KR song, and your reaction to it. This was the first time I heard it too, and didn't realise how versatile his voice was! I do now!
