Awesome reviews and tips that focused on the info many of us have on our minds where consider to stay in Saigon Vietnam of various available hotels, and stays, agreed location everything ❤, many thanks for do this, cheers 👍
Thank you watching and sharing your feedback. I’m glad to hear that the information was useful which is the aim of my channel. Though there is still a lot more topics to cover which I plan to do over a period of time.
We stayed at Liberty Central Riverside in June 2024 and your review of this hotel is spot-on. Much appreciation for your detailed reviews of other hotels. Btw, your narration is professional and pleasing to the ears...if lacing with few humorous tidbits, your review would be comparable to Anthony Bourdain's.
Hi - thanks for watching! Really appreciate your comment, especially about the narration since I do put a lot of effort in making sure it's not boring to listen to yet factual.
Love your vlogs, you present it professionally. Please let me know what the status and condition now for travelling to Vietnam from Saigon to Danang to Hanoi especially with transportation, air and land. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and appreciate your feedback. Transportation services is operating normal except to Sapa and Ha Giang which I wouldn't recommend. For more details, please read my latest post update on the post-typhoon situation in the north. Hope that helps.
@@traveleatvietnam Thank you so much! Please continue your vlogs as these are very helpful for travellers to Vietnam. Subject matters as recent Visa application procedures, proper etiquette, trusted tour guides, basic way to address vendors and people you meet for the first time and of course, areas to explore. Again, thank you 🥰
Hi - I'm not familiar with this property though some of the reviews aren't so great. If you're looking for apartment accommodations which are professionally managed - there's the Oakwood Residence and Sedona Suites. Of course it will cost more but it's a higher level of service and quality! If you're looking more of a neighborhood stay, you may want to consider places in District 3.
Hope this video helps you with your decision about La Vela. My previous video on best locations is a pretty good guide if you're looking for walking distance which unfortunately La Vela doesn't fall into! You can always buy a pass to their pool or have a meal or drinks there if you want to experience the view without having to stay here!
@@traveleatvietnam It does really help me to cross off La Vela on my list and consider one of the other hotels. Suffice it to say I won’t be schlepping all the way from D1 and shelling out $$ to just hang out at their pool. On related note, what do you think of Lotte hotel? When I stayed at Le Meridien last year, I kept walking past it every day and wonder if it’s worth a stay next time.
@@LTinSoCal Lotte Hotel is one of the older hotels in the city. I haven't been there in awhile so don't know if they've done any renovations. It's more set back from the street so for river views - it would be a little more distant. I'm not a big fan of hotels on Ton Duc Thang St since I find getting around by taxi or bike a nuisance with the constant traffic. I would suggest Thi Sach area and any hotels managed by Silverland.
@@traveleatvietnam Good point Thúy. I actually have stayed at one of the hotels on Thi Sách street about 10 years ago. I think it’s changed ownership and now called Paragon Saigon. Not any view to speak of but the area is very quiet and tranquil despite being so close to the ‘infamous’ Japantown Saigon. Looks like there are more 4-star(?) hotels in that area now. I’ll check out their reviews online. But so far, your insights from a Vietnamese American perspective is what I resonate with and truly appreciate.
Glad my insights are helpful! As a travel professional - my advice and insights are to assist travelers with their travel planning. But also offering a perspective from an international traveler’s expectations.

Could you help me find a hotel with a good view of the New Year's fireworks?
Hi - all the hotels mentioned in this video have good views of fireworks.
Thank you.
Thanks much Thuy!
