It's a bit weird, but original and kind of perfect.
It's refreshing to see someone who can demo a guitar that's for sale, that doesn't make it seem like it's just another bothersome chore during his workday.

@@barrysoetoro1543 "Living the Dream". It has some of his best songs like "The one you loved is gone" and "Mind you Manners", but Apocaliptic Love is still his best solo work imo.
I finally got a chance to listen it.... Slash is a badass! Im gonna listen to it some more... lol

fiznishio coming from a non-player, I always felt like FTF was where the player's talent could really shine through. Some of the fingerpicking stuff mark would do was beautiful to listen to.
Actually FTF is all I ever watched, having put my electric guitar days behind me.
I am seriously memorized watching him play. Mark was more polished talking about the guitars but this kid is far more fun when it comes time to play.
As always, Lemmo just plays the hell out of anything he touches! Awesome job dude...no one can do what you do with a guitar...I'm officially a fan!

Great guitar, great playing. Nice to hear some different songs.
Clint Knuckler He’s got articulation, he’s got dynamics, he’s got it all! Loved Mark, love Mike.
I can tell you it's not that Advanced Jumbo that is blowing all our minds, it's your out of this world playing that sucker, that's doing it.
A few quick points here.
1) In spite of a few posts to the contrary, FTF is REALLY important.
2) Michael. You.got.the.led.out. WOW......just......WOW.
3) The sale to Slash story was great! Let us hear more of those, even about regular guys buying GOTD's.
4) Norm you are a Genius.
I enjoy the different kinds of music that come through with Lemmo, it’s nice and refreshing. Very nice work on selling the bass to Slash, and very nice work on the episodes of GOTD you’ve done so far. Good luck with future episodes!

Getting the feeling that Mark showed us what the guitars have done. Michael shows us what they can do. It's like a radio station that changed formats.
Perfect analogy... Lemmo is another level.
Coming from a bass player, listening to him play is a real treat! He's one guitar player who'd be a joy to play for! He really has skills!
That chord-hand work on the second song with the index finger and pinky was really cool.
That was the best flat top Friday ever. Not to take anything away from Mark because he is the man but Michael nailed it. That last number was incredible. Keep up the great work mike!

Did I hear that right? SLASH bought a custom shop Bass VI from Mike Lemmo!?! Yesterday's demo has to be the best Bass VI demo on youtube...hands down, and I've seen them all. If you think you know of any better Bass VI playing on youtube please link me. Maybe when Slash uploads his video it will be better...;)

Cool! I don't get how or why anyone would give this the thumbs down. That guitar is rare, it sounds amazing and Lemmo played it extremely well.

A friend of mine had the same guitar. It belonged to his father and was well loved and used. I played it back in the early 60's when I was just learning and didn't have any appreciation for how good it was. Sometime in the 90's he posted the info on a Gibson site and got a huge response. Eventually he sold it for a huge amount of money.
To be completely honest, I'm shocked the only guitar Lemmo sold this week was the bass. I purposefully didn't call because I just figured the Tele and JazzMaster were gone. You're my first call tomorrow when the shop opens.

Mark did a great job. Both players have different skill sets in guitar playing and presenting this little gig and Mark will be missed. Credit where its due though Lemmo is filling some big boots with some breath taking playing. Lets hope he stays put for a while

That is a vintage masterpiece and is worth paying an arm and a leg for. A lot of famous electrics have a lot of panache, but there are thousands and thousands of them. These are exceedingly rare and extremely valuable, and justifiably so. Excellent playing, by the way.

Just killer. I had the thrill of playing one of these back in the ‘90s. Only one I’ve ever touched or even seen in person. It seemed to have no volume ceiling: the harder I played the louder it got. Yet when played gently it sounded as sweet as it gets. Amazing instrument.

Nice job! And yes, Slash is a normal guy. I literally ran into him in the crowd at Cozy’s in Sherman Oaks in December 2007. He came out of the crowd to play “Hey Joe” that night with Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs.
Lemmo. Doing a great job. My only request would be to add the history of the instrument meaning model history. That was my favorite part about this show. Learning.
