i like the idea of crazy earl having a daughter that’s a siren. reason being why he needs so much eridium. as well as his need for as much privacy as possible.
I think my favorite bit of lore, is that Grandma Flexington was set to be a siren when Commandant Steele was killed, but she flexed so hard, that the tattoos flew right off of her hulking muscular frame. I wonder who got those tattoos...
@@cyrusmuller6502 No, it was only a skag. She got exhausted from controlling a skag. Plus, it can't work on the destroyer. It isn't really an animal that wants to survive. Only destroy.
Brick actually becoming a siren would be the absolute best thing ever. ALSO, don’t go down in this comment saying “but only females can be sirens!!!!!” Don’t care. Brick is the prettiest, and he deserves it.

Spoilers btw But pandora is now discovered to be a vault, meaning that 1. The "seventh" is an eridian who somehow survived 2. The "seventh" is a vault monster (counter to destroyer - due to it being to sealed away, there is no point for the supposedly named "creator" to be there so it is also sealed away too) 3. The first ever vault hunter (even before typhon deleon since the vaults have been around for centuries- it would be no doubt, impossible for say- one of the eridians to seek the power of the vault. 4. Im talking rubbish lol
it is possible that the seventh was sealed in the destroyer or at least the vault after all typhon destroyed a vault monster witch could of ben nyerad or contained her soul
Based on reading far too many scifi and fantasy novels, this is my theory: For the origins, my guess is that the Creator was torn into 7 fragments, which were embedded into 7 women as a form of containment(or unborn children, I'll leave that up in the air). Those became the Sirens, from the power of those fragments. This would explain their connections to eachother and how they are drawn to one another(being essentially one 'soul' split into 7 parts), the way Maya knows Nyriad's name (embedded memories), as well as the connection between them, these beings and the Eridian/vaults. And why their powers are transferred but remain the same, as they are essentially avatars of Creation. Bringing all seven together may be too dangerous as they are too powerful together. Perhaps they discovered the consequences of this combined power of all sirens together, possibly by a siren with time-based powers seeing the future or the Timekeeper, and she let herself be sealed away in a temporal prison. Or perhaps she found a way to use that combined power and was imprisoned by the others or the Timekeeper to prevent that from happening. My guess for her powers would be either mindcontrol, or time-control. The 'master' being missing from the titles you're given at the trials could refer to either being able to control and enslave minds, or a mastery of time. Mindcontrol would explain why many of the guardians show up as 'Possessed'. Is she taking control of them? A Siren that old would be the only thing left from that time who remembers the Guardians' and their purpose, and figure out how to control them. That comment from the Trial Of Instinct nags at me. "But will your reward be what you desire? A prisoner in a cell staring out at the fathoms of a sleeping universe". That wasn't a callous comment. It keeps going on about proving your worth to its 'masters'. It seems to suggest that this new master is imprisoned somewhere. The 7th Siren in her prison of time? Or maybe I've just read too much Scifi and Fantasy. 😂 On an interesting sidenote, the concept of the Destroyer and Creator reminds me of Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, especially Ruin and Preservation.
i was thinking the same thing. alternatively. so we know shes in a vault, but, what if her vault is in the side dimension that lilith threw the great vault into? so now shes in there with lilith alive, and lilith can give her an escape route. also being stuck in liliths phase shift would mean she can see the universe but cant really interact with it. a prisoner watching the universe. ive got a few more but im too lazy to type them all out
Ya im a year late but. It could be that they are drawn together so they can reform into one. And if the seventh shows up then that's when they can form back into one being again and be (almost) unstoppable.
I can't believe I just realized the planet is called Pandora in reference to pandora's box in Greek mythology and the evil's trapped within AKA the Destroyer of worlds
there's lire references that this allone ;) but i allways thought it was called pandora because it contained the vault of vaults... not being the vault itself :D
What are the odds that the seventh isn't a siren, but a seventh galaxy? Lore refers to the collective universe as "the six galaxies." This might go hand in hand with the fact that Nyriad refers to Nekrotefeyo as "first landing," which means that it wasn't the true homeworld, but presumably the homeworld for Eridian settlers that split off from the main civilization. This would also explain the Overseer, the proving grounds, and how they were all a test for a "higher power." My assumption from all of this is that the war the Watcher was referring to was a war with the Eridian masters themselves. Now, that being said, I've also wondered that since there are six galaxies and six sirens, there's a siren for every galaxy. On the extremely off chance that they are linked, it could mean a seventh siren for a seventh galaxy? Who knows
You read the hell outta my mind sir. I just knew there weren't blaring "six galaxies" all through the game for no reason. I even thought "six galaxies, six sirens" much like you did.
I always love how they day that the destroyer is like this ultimate evil, invincible, strongest weapon or stuff like that but it always leads to a disappointing boss fight
@@santi_super_stunts2573 Everything about the destroyer is disappointing. The thing required a whole planet to be locked up but it could be beated by a single vault hunter. Would’ve been cool if it was a sort of team up fight with at least lilith and the other sirens to make it seem plausible that we just killed possibly the strongest creature in the universe
@@edgarharo7434 My current headcanon is that the "Destroyer" that we've seen is just...a part of it--not whole, in some way. Mostly stemming from the ending of BL3. Tyreen seemingly fuses with the Destroyer, proceeds to lumber around like a big baby, and gets clapped by 1-4 online multiplayer vault hunters; and yet, even after her--and subsequently the Destroyer's--death, the Great Vault continued opening, almost as if the gap it already created isn't enough yet for whatever it was meant to contain. If I were to make a box specifically designed and built to trap, say, a murderous robot hellbent on destroying everything, I wouldn't make it so that it could escape through a tiny gap in the box, and if the robot is as dangerous as I make it out to be, then it probably wouldn't have been taken out by my friends who came over for dinner unloading a glock magazine into it. There must be reason why, despite the Great Vault only just crackening, the Destroyer seemingly escaped entirely, free to move around and shoot fireballs all over the place. Maybe the Destroyer can detach parts of its body, maybe "The Destroyer" isn't one entity, but a legion, maybe we haven't actually seen what the Great Vault is containing. What sort of power, what sort of *creature* needs an entire planet to act as its prison? Or maybe it is just disappointing like you said because, you know, Borderlands 3 writing.
Cronus Titan ability is phase melt. Tyreens power goes to either a Titan or another Siren during death. When a siren dies a titan or another siren is born. Titans are male sirens
Part of me feels like the "7th siren" is actually phaseleech itself and outside that there are 6 other sirens and that is why we thought there were only 6 because the phaseleech was dormant long enough to be completely forgotten
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Considering the story was that the leech ability was locked away but typhon having a daughter on that planet passed the powers onto tyreen allowing the power to get loose
Playing Amara really makes a lot of the cutscenes make no sense. They keep jabbering about taking siren powers while you stand right there twiddling your thumbs
The fact the ending of the pre-sequel was pretty much ignored annoys me. Where is the watcher and Athena? Hell where's half of the bloody characters from the previous games???
Just to expand upon what Austin said. The ending of the Pre-Sequel was kind of expanded upon, Jack did his Jack shit, Athenas story continued and concluded in Tales from the Borderlands and (supposedly) the war the Watcher warned of has happened or is about to happen because of the Tyreen and Troy. It seems like The Watcher pops up when needed to steer events one way or another, we might get more in the future, I just take it that this game, like 1 and 2, the Watcher is just... watching.
Athena isn’t putting herself in risk, Fiona is off unconfirmed but that’s one Hunter to make up for Typhon’s inevitable death. Four hunters minus one Roland, gain 5 for BL2, Add 1 for Handsome Jack but then he died, Wilhelm, Aurelia and Nisha dead but Doppelgänger, Athena and Claptrap. Then 4 more in this game and Tannis and Ava, minus 1 for Scooter. Minus 2 for Kroger and Finch, minus 1 for Vallory and add 6 for Sasha, August, Rhys, Vaughn, Gortys and Loader Bot. They are building an army but keep losing soldiers my amigo do the math and decide if next game we have the possibility of a war but not this game. This is like RVB season 16.
@@starblazing1160 Borderlands 2 was a war between the Crimson Raiders and Handsome Jack and they had less Vault Hunters then. In this game the Crimson Raiders start off at rock bottom but as you progress you gain more support for the main objective, bringing down the COV and stopping Tyreen from opening the Great Vault.
When Amara enters the machine on Nekro she says "I feel a connection with something here that is very old". This is likely related as this would have been the same complex that Nyriad sealed herself within.
And yet she is almost never acknowledged as even existing along with the other vault hunters. This is so irritating and I don't even play as her. At least not yet.
Maybe the sirens are the fragments of the so called “creator.” Bits of his/her power scattered going from host to host until they all unite and is whole again maybe?
Was thinking a similar thing. What if the 6 sirens powers are born of the "creator" with the 7th being the creator itself, the source, now sealed away much like the destroyer. If the eridians sealed the primordial being of destruction and left the being of creation it would create inbalance in the universe.
Nyriad was the seventh siren. She explained that her powers the Phase Leech, would be sealed away on Nekrotofayo after her death because the universe would be better off without a leech. Which is how Tyreen obtained the powers and why Nyriad warned to never find the seventh.
I think so too, especley because if she ISNT the Seventh then how did the universe know there are 6 Sirens? Clearley this means 6 diffrent set of pwoers where observed in somwhat recent hystory ore Jack would have said there are always 5. Ther are 6 diffrent powers, and the Leech was the locked away Seventh.
But....but....but the Sirens powers are not vanishing they allways find a new vielder. After Nyriad sealed the destroyer she locked herself a vault maybe Typhon DeLeon and his wife opened the vault and Nyirad is the monster that they killed in the vault after that Typhon and his wife are sexed and this is why in Tyreen and Troy manifested Siren powers.
That's what I was thinking, that she doesnt want anybody to have her powers because she saw them more as a curse so she locked herself up and it was too late to get the other 6 to do the same so she said that they should never find her or her powers, or a second theory is maybe she took the seventh sirens powers and then trapped only the power itself inside a vault so nobody could find the seventh siren unless the power was released.
What if Nyriad "The Leech" was the 7th Siren. Think of it Jack said there were 6 sirens, but he didnt know Nyriad was locked away in the Vault on Nekrotephyo cuz no one but Typhon ever discovered the planet, and he never left it, only Tyreen (Who inherited the Leech siren powers) and Troy left either around or after Jack's Death
That was my interpretation, yeah. Which means we're still short on two of the original 6 Siren powers. Unless Commandant Steele had Trance before Amara, we still don't know what powers she had. Looks like there was a comic book that had another Siren, Asha, who could control animals. The cononicity is questionable, since apparently Clap-trap died in that comic.
The way she words it doesn't fit. She said don't find the 7th as if she wasn't. Also despite not wanting her powers out in the universe for personal reasons, its not like Phaseleach is THAT much stronger than other abilities for their to be such an ominous warning.
The way I interpret “you must never find the Seventh” is that Nyriad is referring to herself since she wanted nobody to pick up her thread and become the Leech, meaning there are now 7 powers on the loose unlike before Tyreen was born. My only other guess is that Nyriad had knowledge of the future, possibly through the relic in the Elpis Vault, and meant Troy as the Seventh since he’s the impossible Siren
@@MattGallagherComposer it’s definitely the most plausible interpretation since we have technically seen the 6 Siren powers, just not all of them in use since Steele didn’t do anything other than get impaled by tentacle-boi
Crazy Earl is the 7th Siren why else he would be collecting all the eridium. Edit: Finished the game and judging by how bad the writing was I won't be surprised if this actually happens 😅. Thanks for the likes
One idea has got me very interested in a possible "endgame" style last game for this series. The last siren is inevitably found and in their nigh infinite power, brings all of the playable characters and the new vault hunters together for the final game, including those who died, though more as copies of the real person since no one is strong enough to resist death. A massive group effort to bring an end to the sirens since most of the biggest baddies have been sirens(Steele, Angel(kinda), Tyreen and Troy(very)) and finally end the Vaults/Destroyer saga. I'm not sure how the Destroyer would be killed since its basically as big as a planet(Unicron style) but seeing as how we can damage it; it may one day happen.
I'm ok with it pre-sequel was fine for what it was a gap game with more focus on fun than actually being relevant to much of anything it had some lore but largely it was an excuse to fuck around while we waited for 3
Why do people shit on the presequel so much?? I loved it, and it actually explained what happened between B1 and B2 because there was a huge change between the two games
Aside from the fact that the seventh was probably Troy. Nyriad probably did the whole "I stole your powers" thing to the seventh and sealed herself away. Thus Typhon's Twin situation.
You mean the rule of twos? That every apprentice kills their master, or attempts to at least. Conveniently keeping their total population low and existence thusly mysterious and hidden from the watchful minds of the Jedi. Perhaps there is just a rule that when Siren's come together, shit goes down. Cus it's mostly been them getting killed, or killing each other or being used for nefarious purposes.
@@DekkarJr No, in Legends, they changed it, AGAIN. It was pre-Rule of Two, then Rule of Two, then they added Rule of One, because reasons? I guess? Legends is such a clusterfuck and so fucked up, it is very hard for me to even like more than just Mara Jade and Darth Talon.
I always thought that phaseleech was the 7th ability and with her being locked away meant that there was only 6 sirens in the universe. Also the reason to never find the 7th was because the sirens are drawn to each other that the phaseleech would absorb the other siren abilities and become an unstoppable being like the destroyer
Maybe the seventh siren is the being that's "opposite to the destroyer, but equally as terrifying." Someone Nyriad was forced to leech, but was unable to fully kill and needed to be imprisoned in a vault, locked out of time, in own contained space and hopefully, undisturbed for the rest of time. Maybe that's why Troy can empower his underlings and turn them into Annointed, as well as leech other Siren powers, he has a duality of the 2 siren's powers to an extent. We never see Tyreen empower anyone, just her ability to leech is present.
@@artemis5265 Troy is also the first male Siren so the rules maybe different for him, and he only found out he had powers after he succed maya's. The empower ability might have already been in him, and he just never tried to use it because he believed he didn't have it. He only became aware he could even use siren powers after he absorbed Maya's, and started to see what he could do with them. Maybe he just figured "oh, this must be part of new function of phaselock" when it was actually part of the 7th's powers Nyriad had leeched, and the power went into him and not Tyreen. Even after Tyreen succs Troy, we never see her empower any of her minions, just use the leftovers from what Troy had annointed. I doubt the case is just he found a new way to use an already established power. Either way, we gotta wait for dlc for anything close to an answer
It seems more likely that she was referring to herself when she was talking about the seventh siren. She mentions how she locked herself inside of the Vault of Nekrotafeyo soon after sealing Pandora. Seeing as that was thousands of years ago, so long ago that people had forgotten that the Eridians even really existed prior to Typhon opening the first Vault on Promethea. It would make sense that if her power was locked away for that long that nobody would know about her powers, so everyone just *thought* there was only six. They never knew about Nyriad’s powers so they never counted them. And seeing how Nyriad chose to seal herself away and said that “the universe would be brighter without a leech”, it would make sense that she would warn us not to find and open the Vault her power was sealed within. It would make sense that she wouldn’t want us to find her power considering what we’ve seen of the power she sealed away. It had the power to consume the very life force of people, it *did* end all of the Eridians, it can absorb Vault Monsters, and it can steal the powers of other sirens. Not to mention the very next person to have Phaseleech tried to open the Great Vault, absorb the Destroyer, and devour the entire universe. I feel there was ample reason for Nyriad to warn us not to find her Vault. Now with all that said, there is still something you failed to mention from the Eridian Writings. There’s one called “Secrets” that lists off Vault Monsters like “Graveward” from this game and “The Traveller” from Tales, but it also lists something referred to as the “Timekeeper”, which we’ve never seen before. Most likely just a DLC Vault Monster, but still definitely worth mentioning that we have another Vault Monster known by name.
There's a couple glaring flaws in this theory right off the bat. Nyriad along with the other known Sirens only adds up to 6 in total in terms of their power sets. Lilith has the fire and phase walking, Maya/Ava have the phase locking, Angel/Tannis have the technomancer type abilities, Amara has the Astral projection shit, Tyreen/Troy inherited Nyriad's leeching abilities, and lastly we had the main bad guy chick from the first game. That's 6 in total and that means the 7th is an entirely separate and unseen entity at this point and her powers are yet to be seen. Also Nyriad can't possibly be referring to herself especially since in her logs you find out exactly where she went. My guess is the 7th siren has something to do with Nyriad's comment about the Destroyer having an opposite. Maybe the 7th Siren, in the presence of the other Sirens, becomes an unstoppable force of creation.
@@valdew4710 I'm assuming that by creation they mean this being can potentially just straight up alter reality and essentially fuck everything up by creating a warped and fucked up version of the universe. @@NebulaDark she had tattoos down her left arm, as I recall in the first game, there was a definite blue glow when she put the vault let in place, and the Borderlands: Origins comics confirmed her as a Siren (though not officially cannon)
There's also the idea that Nyriad DID succeed in chaining the seventh, and also chaining her own powers; it was just that Typhon unleashed them again by opening her resting place.
@@goldylocks1932 she means one of us as in a siren,it seems very unlikely because I see no evidence pointing towards it being her and she says it like it's a different person so that points to it not being her
"The story isn't what we thought it would be" Agreed, but there's literally 4 planned DLC that are supposedly acting as add-ons to the launch campaign. I felt this way too. The story was good in and of itself, but the whole importance of sirens, tacked onto the whole story, as opposed to borderlands 2's story of "stop handsome jack" it felt like there was WAY too much importance set on the Sirens for the DLC's to not elaborate upon them
Calypsotic Gaming dude this story was not good at all. The story arc and writing were so lazy. I love borderlands and it’s a fun game, but their story writing is trash 😕
They definitely should make the dlc a continuation of the main campaign or at least make it relevant instead of a standalone type content. We can hope anyways
It may be that Niryad did not say that we should not look for the 7 sirens because she is one and she locked herself in a vault becoming like a type of vault monster and if they release her a power will never be Stopped

My guess, she was refering to herself. How the hell does the modern world get 6 if there isnt 2 more Sirens out there, 2 unknown, 4 known, Plus the leech, Seven. Never find her Siren power, never release the leech.
The Siren's are the Infinity Stones Lilith/Phasewalk- able to control space and time to move yourself or objects across distances- Space Stone Maya/Phaselock- Freeze/suspend objects in place regardless or gravity- Time Stone Tannis(formerly Angel)/ Phaseshift- alter and control any electronic object- Reality Stone Amara/Phasestance- summoning fists to pound people into submission or creating energy orbs/beams/projections to destroy- Power Stone Tyreen/Phaseleech- able to steal the living energy of anyone or other Siren abilities- Soul Stone Commander Steele- Unknown what her's is called but she keeps resurrecting herself in the comic series- Soul Stone In Marvel Comics the Infinity Stones were born when a individual named Nemesis died and split her power into 6 stones and scattered them across the universe. When combined the 6 stones grant a individual her power. There is a rarely talked about 7th infinity stone named the Ego Stone, which is her consciousness and only becomes active when used with the other 6 stones to resurrect Nemesis, which is the Ego Stone's main function is to resurrect Nemesis as it is her consciousness. The 7th Siren in Borderlands likely follows suit and it's Siren power is the ability to control all of the Siren abilities at once in one body(Tyreen and Troy could steal the powers but not use them as well as Lilith or Maya could.) That's why they can't find the 7th Siren, because if Siren's are all attracted to each other then all of them being in close proximity to the 7th SIren would resurrect her and give her back all of her power. If Nyriad was scared of the 7th Siren could be the opposite of The Destroyer; A creator. The Borderlands Universe is a mess and any creator with all of the Siren abilities in one body would likely wanna wipe it clean and start from a clean slate.
There was a siren in the borderlands comics who could control animals, but think she isn't canon and mind control results in the final stone: Mind Stone
I believe that somehow the 7th is still unclaimed, never linking into the braid because there is no person. Maybe the powers got increasingly cruel, like leech, so whoever was supposed to receive it first rejected it. Finding the seventh will introduce an evil beyond anything else, worse than leech, maybe something like a half death or possession. A fate worse than death type deal
The seventh Siren, the original one, is sealed in a vault. They are outside of time, so being sealed would not cause her to age. It most likely will be encountered in a DLC leading to the next Borderlands game.

Anyone think it’s interesting and weird that of all the sirens we know of that got their powers randomly as infants (Lilith, Maya, Angel and Amara) are all a similar age, implying that all of the previous owners of their powers died at around the same time... At the time of Borderlands 2, Lilith was 27, Maya was 27, Angel approximately 19-23 and in BL3 Amara is likely somewhere between 25-35 so in BL2 could have been 20-30. Steele may have been chosen, but if she wasn’t, she looked a similar age too.

FishyBeef Troy wasn’t a Siren. He was leeching power from a Siren. Part of the lore of Borderlands is that males can’t be Sirens. Tureen transferred powers to him and he took from her. That’s evident during the boss fight.
@@NrdDy Also part of the lore is that there's only six the lore is in the air. All you can do is read between the lines. It is PAINFULLY obvious that Troy is the Seventh Siren. All the mentions of him being a Siren to finding out that there is secretly a seventh point to him being a siren. There is also a loose parallel in the fact that Nyriad more than likely killed the seventh much like how Tyreen tried to kill Lilith cause they were conjoined. He had TWIN sirens.
@@NrdDy Basically what i am saying is to take everything you think you know about the lore from previous games (Excluding characters) and throw it out the window cause that's what they did with this game. It is all meaningless. We've been lied to.
FishyBeef We weren’t lied to. The knowledge that only six siren can exist at one time is knowledge from Handsome Jack who got the information from Angel. Typhon probably had two sirens as children probably (speculation) because his wife was a siren. Leda helped him discover vaults and defeat the beasts inside which (from what we know) has not been done without the help of a siren. When she died after their birth as conjoined twins, aka one body, her siren powers probably passed down to them. There’s too many echo logs and references of Tyreen stating Troy is a leech and that Siren heritage runs in the family and the simple fact that Sirens in Greek mythology itself are only females. Before Troy uses his powers he has to leech power from Tyreen or other Sirens. Obviously no one knew this new 7th siren information until now. It’s just new information that no one knew. Doesn’t mean they threw the lore out the window.
During the video it mentioned that she was the 'leech' and that she managed to hide her power away... in a vault.. that was opened by Typhon, and then it passed down again.
Could be Moxxi. Never seems to age, has been around sirens a lot. Edit: she's hot, loves putting the player in combat challenges much like the proving grounds.
I would've thought that she would've mnanifested her powers by now wouldn't you lol. Tannis hid hers for a long ass time for whatever reason, and always had sleeves on covering her tattoos. Moxxi ain't got no Tattoo's like the Sirens all do on their left arms.
The Leach Siren was all this time sealed in the Vault. But Handsome Jack allredy knew in BL1, most likely before Tyreen was born, that 6 Siren's exist. So couldn't it be that this 7th Siren is allredy known somewhere and running free?
Umm I'm pretty sure that Tyreen was alive before the events of the first Borderlands game. As far as I know there's a 10-year gap between BL1 and BL3, and while Tyreen is certainly young I think it's safe to say that she's older than 10.
@@cookiecat9716 That would still make Tyreen really young. Especially since she talks about trying to have sex with some of her bandits, i doubt shes below 18.
So according to the lore, Lilith must still be alive. If she is not her Siren powers go to someone else and the moon continues to be pulled into Pandora!
Wasn't Nyriad referring to herself as the 7th siren in the writings? Considering her ability (leeching), she probably thought that she could only do harm to others, and for that she sealed herself and died in the vault. Unfortunately (as you mentioned in the video as well) Typhon opened the vault and unintentionally had Nyriad's powers granted to Tyreen, who of course caused a lot of trouble later on (not to mention she almost destroyed the universe)

He basically says that someone might have changed room and time since it was an odd place for a claptrap to be there. It might be a clue for a future lore of Borderlands because I don't think so that this dialogue was just random Claptrap-nonsense... Edit: He means the vault does not cooperate with the time and room of that specific universe. The theory that the 7th sirene does not age might be very reasonable then
@@blackheavymetalman and before that happened there was the myth of 6, meaning that her power would make the 7th once released from the prison. she never wanted another to bear the weight of being a leech to those around them

exactly what i was thinking, trapped in some long forgotten vault in a long forgotten part of space an evil eridian who is a siren could be an interesting plot
I'm still curious about Troy and Tyreen's mom, who was (probably) a siren herself. She could read Eridian, she knew where Nekrotafeyo was, and Typhon refers in one of his echologs about "Boom, Siren Girlfriend". We know that Tyreen leeched her, and so her powers probably resided within Tyreen herself (ie. didn't get transferred to a new owner). We also know that she recognized that they needed to keep Troy and Tyreen on Nekrotafeyo in order to keep them from being exploited. So, don't we already have 7? Tyreen: Leech+Mom, Amara, Maya, Angel, Lilith, and then probably Asha's animal stuff? Part of me thinks that the 7th is specifically referring to Troy, since the name "Siren" is implicitly feminine, he came up with powers that surprised everyone (anointing people, for one, and being able to leech from sirens other than his sister), and we know that the sirens went to great lengths to hide that there even was a 7th.

I think we’re already past 7 vaults. Hell, there were technically four that we went into in 3, and even discounting the first vault from 1 due to an Eridian Writing calling it “a false vault” there was still one in 2, one in Tales, and one in the PreSequel. Not to mention the Great Vault itself.
The fact that Lilith had an association with Dionysus made me suspected that there were seven sirens. It made sense to connect the seven sisters of the Pleiades with all of the comparisons made to stars in the third game and in the origin comics.

This idea that the Siren's are drawn to each other might explain why they are drawn to Pandora, she is probably somewhere hidden on or in Pandora
Spoilers btw
But pandora is now discovered to be a vault, meaning that
1. The "seventh" is an eridian who somehow survived
2. The "seventh" is a vault monster (counter to destroyer - due to it being to sealed away, there is no point for the supposedly named "creator" to be there so it is also sealed away too)
3. The first ever vault hunter (even before typhon deleon since the vaults have been around for centuries- it would be no doubt, impossible for say- one of the eridians to seek the power of the vault.
4. Im talking rubbish lol
Ross Mabon nah fam, SHE IS pandora
Oh shit I actually really like that idea.
And pandora is the destroyer ... Intresting concept.
it is possible that the seventh was sealed in the destroyer or at least the vault after all typhon destroyed a vault monster witch could of ben nyerad or contained her soul
Based on reading far too many scifi and fantasy novels, this is my theory:
For the origins, my guess is that the Creator was torn into 7 fragments, which were embedded into 7 women as a form of containment(or unborn children, I'll leave that up in the air).
On an interesting sidenote, the concept of the Destroyer and Creator reminds me of Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, especially Ruin and Preservation.
That’s a good theory mr
I like that. It’s not necessarily that the Seventh Siren is the big bad....but collecting all seven would unleash something terrible.
i was thinking the same thing.
alternatively. so we know shes in a vault, but, what if her vault is in the side dimension that lilith threw the great vault into? so now shes in there with lilith alive, and lilith can give her an escape route.
also being stuck in liliths phase shift would mean she can see the universe but cant really interact with it. a prisoner watching the universe.
ive got a few more but im too lazy to type them all out
Ya im a year late but. It could be that they are drawn together so they can reform into one. And if the seventh shows up then that's when they can form back into one being again and be (almost) unstoppable.
So basicaally the Siren’s are living vault key fragments

What are the odds that the seventh isn't a siren, but a seventh galaxy? Lore refers to the collective universe as "the six galaxies." This might go hand in hand with the fact that Nyriad refers to Nekrotefeyo as "first landing," which means that it wasn't the true homeworld, but presumably the homeworld for Eridian settlers that split off from the main civilization. This would also explain the Overseer, the proving grounds, and how they were all a test for a "higher power."
My assumption from all of this is that the war the Watcher was referring to was a war with the Eridian masters themselves.
Now, that being said, I've also wondered that since there are six galaxies and six sirens, there's a siren for every galaxy. On the extremely off chance that they are linked, it could mean a seventh siren for a seventh galaxy? Who knows
Very interesting concept 🔥
You read the hell outta my mind sir. I just knew there weren't blaring "six galaxies" all through the game for no reason. I even thought "six galaxies, six sirens" much like you did.

@@edgarharo7434 just more “tentacles and disappointment”
@@edgarharo7434
My current headcanon is that the "Destroyer" that we've seen is just...a part of it--not whole, in some way.
Gearbox doesn’t want us to find the seventh siren because she is actually a loot tink and they will have to release a hotfix if we find her

Nah. They'd have to acknowledge the players as having a major role in the direction of the story to do that.
The great vault never opened so the seventh siren is in the great vault and every siren was drawn to the great vault
So she seals her self in a vault and says the universe should never have another leach and warns against finding the 7th...shes the 7th siren...
This is what I've been thinking which is why everyone already knows theres 6 how can the lore be about 6 if the leech hasn't been around for forever
@@Drdrag0on i bet the 6th is like persuading people like how the borderlands 1 enemy siren had become a leader of a army so quicky
@@MaxSylv The 6th probably was Steele, seeing as how we didnt know her power before she died.
Came looking for this. I'm pretty sure this is the intended reading
2:56ish “OUR lives forever intertwined “ I believe this fits with your theory?
This was my thought. Or Troy
This is how I've interpreted it since day 1. I really don't see how this is such a debate.
@@MattGallagherComposer it’s definitely the most plausible interpretation since we have technically seen the 6 Siren powers, just not all of them in use since Steele didn’t do anything other than get impaled by tentacle-boi

Anointed still appear in the story after Troy's death
Leroy Likes Facts Tyree also absorbed him and his power after you beat him. Alternatively he could have made multiple anointed before he died.
Bruh he can empower his minions because he has mayas power and found a new way to use it
@@artemis5265 good point. maybe it's like mayas thoughtlock on steroids?
Underated

The Siren's are the Infinity Stones
Lilith/Phasewalk- able to control space and time to move yourself or objects across distances- Space Stone
Maya/Phaselock- Freeze/suspend objects in place regardless or gravity- Time Stone
Tannis(formerly Angel)/ Phaseshift- alter and control any electronic object- Reality Stone
Amara/Phasestance- summoning fists to pound people into submission or creating energy orbs/beams/projections to destroy- Power Stone
Tyreen/Phaseleech- able to steal the living energy of anyone or other Siren abilities- Soul Stone
Commander Steele- Unknown what her's is called but she keeps resurrecting herself in the comic series- Soul Stone
In Marvel Comics the Infinity Stones were born when a individual named Nemesis died and split her power into 6 stones and scattered them across the universe.

I want one to be Kreig's war on Maliwan. The rest? Sure, connect that shit.

Ava, Amara, Emily, Lilith, Tannis, Tyreen and Troy is the seventh.
I just realized the overseer is the voice actor of Envy from fmab.
Also, Lilith is Hawkeye (and Luffy and many other English dubbed anime/video game characters).
So of course that means in BL4 we totally find and awaken the 7th siren, thus plunging the universe into chaos. Go team!
