ive heard a theory that suggests that the "war" is something about the guardians. the guardians are sentient creatures whos entire purpose is to protect the vaults, and since we pillaged most if not all of the vaults, they now dont have a purpose and are probably going to be very mad.
cool idea but seems weird since the whole point of the vaults was to lock the destroyer away until stronger people came along able to beat it. I mean they literally made a key specifically for opening the vaults... seems flawed if they never intended for it to be opened. If anything they should be programmed with some kind of understanding of dead destroyer = goal achieved
my theory about zero is that hes propably an eridian and has a female creator (its there in his voice line in bl3) which means thats probably some person that taught him how to speak like a human(almost), made his costume, gave him a katana. So it could be a Tannis project. After all she has gone crazy after years spent on pandora and shes a scientist
I will never give up on this, I do still believe krieg is Tina's dad. gearbox won't accept it, but it's so clear, all you need is the headhunter (I believe) where they send assasins after the VHs, when they ask them "what is your biggest regret" krieg says "leaving the tiny one" why did the writers make him "TINY" if they didn't mean Tina? they could've used something like "the kid" or something like that! I'll never give up on this theory
I think one of my favorite theories is that General Zarpadon knew that Elpis was the key to The Great Vault. If you remember upon meeting her for the first time she said "I'm going to blow up the moon and save the universe"
just throwing an idea out here, timothy might just be jacks scapegoat if he dies, we know through borderlands 3 you can virtually upload your mind, and timothy has jack's DNA, jack might come back through possibly taking over timothy somehow? just seemed like a small idea
The only way I can see enjoying jack in BL4 is if he is a backstaby ally, like we NEED him to do something even if we do not, I can see him loving the attention
I love zer0 as a character in Borderlands 2. They made him slightly more lame in 3, but I hope they keep his mystery and coolness in the following games.
In bl2 right before you enter the bunker map jack says he found Tannis to take the vault key and tortured her. If she was a siren this whole time how didn't he notice when he captured her. idk the whole her being a siren seems like a bl3 only plot line.
The reason why there's jack statues in the bts was because the choice to keep the jack ai from tales from the borderlands was gonna be cannon and he would have some how got loose but for some reason they got rid of that plan and instead we the garbage story and villians we got now
An issue I’ve had with borderlands3 handsome jackpot… who did you kill in opportunity to get jacks bio scan and voice?? After presequal I assumed that you kill timothy to disguise as Jack but apparently that was someone completely different
Handsome jack returning as the "main villain" in Borderlands 4 and then we defeat him somehow or someway and then it reveals he was just a pawn created by whatever the War is gonna be and who's going to initiate the War and then it turns out everything we've come across is nothing compared to this War and even the Destroyer turns out to have been running away or some shit trying to get more powerful to defeat this War. Long stretch but could be interesting
I thought we fought Timothy in Hyperion in borderlands 2 when there was a jack boss fight there. I could be miss remembering. Also Jack could come back Through Reece from Tales of the borderlands.
Honestly, it would make a lot more sense if the Digi-Jack that Nakayama made was still living inside Rhys and thats how he brought atlas back, and that's how Jack technically didn't survive the events of bl2 but was still planned to come back on Promethea
'The War' the watcher was talking about was more than likely the events of Borderlands 3. End of BL2, the location of vaults across the system was being revealed, this event was going to be SERIOUS shit (I speculated we were gonna see a Second Corporate Wars!) The Watcher even said we're gonna need all the vault hunters we can get (Which is what we mostly did BL3...) There was a pretty big war going on, You had all these parties, the Crimson Raiders, Atlas, Children of the Vault, Maliwan, and so on I know it sounds very underwhelming, what The Watcher built up sounded amazing, but between BL2, BL:TPS, and TftBL to BL3 things changed, plans changed, ideas changed, and this is what we're left with.
I don’t trust the Promethea as proof for Jack because of TALES. There’s an option to keep Jack as Rhys. My guess is that the plan was meant to say that Jack took over Rhys and then took over his body. That Jack AI chip is either in Rhys possession or left in a junk pile just waiting to be found. That’d be better than Timothy
I like the Jack theory but loses grounding when considering tps and handsome jackpot. The echoes in Jack’s office retell Timothy’s encounter with Moxxi, being how she met Jack. While not told as to how the relationship went, she most likely realized the differences in personalities. When Zarpedon is defeated and the eye of helios is secured, Moxxi immediately seizes the opportunity to kill Jack; where as Timothy, the person she initially encountered, is given a second chance now that he doesn’t work for Jack and can’t dupe her again. Idk, but Jack is definitely returning if New Tales is canon 😁
I strongly oppose the idea of resurrecting Handsome Jack. His narrative has concluded, and it's time for a fresh antagonist to emerge, one with a compelling storyline and memorable moments.
Randy Pitchford said Jack's gone on the reveal of Bl3 (Pax East 2019 Panel). Also they did Dlc about Timothy so Jack Theory is not correct. Tannis ''could'' be a siren when Steele died. Maybe she got her powers from Steele before Angel's death. But this a long shot theory kinda absurd. The war guardian watcher was referring to most likely events on BL3. In Bl1-Bl2 and Bltps we were NOT facing apocalypse like events but unlike these three Bl3 based on release of The Destroyer and most powerful siren leeching it. Guardian saved athena because good side of the universe needs all the help it can get including ex vault hunters of course. Still there is a chance that The Destroyer will break from its prison/pandora so it will be battle of the battles like situation that guardian watcher can refer to. I give 0 change that Krieg is father of Tiny Tina. Why you may ask?? Simple. Even with his sane-insane duality form Krieg still remember Maya and misses her. We can understand that Krieg's memory is not total lost he remember every single detail about Maya and fellow Crimson Raiders. If Tina were his daughter he will be close to her right form the start. It makes no sense because all of borderlands universe, across the 6 galaxies filled with bandits and psychos Krieg is the mere example of this. Also even Marcus and Zed kinda like psychos in this universe. Tina acting like a bandit-psycho doesn't mean she has connection with Krieg. In this kind of lore you need some lunatic to be on the good side so things get interested. It's a common marketing deal. Every game has lunatic guy on their own. Think about Gta 5 Trevor same thing happens here. Crazy-desperate or some maniac has nothing to lose being a savior makes the character more intriguing so players can make deep bonds with him/her. Zero on the other hand I'm not quite sure that he is a eridian. His body shape/figure is just like any human nowhere near seraph guardians, eridians. He has not eridian like voice he is more like a Fl4k. Maybe he is robocop kinda guy who knows lost his voice, legs and he needs robotics to survive. Lastly Bl4 will focus on finding Lilith and another corporate wars. We still yet to see Vladof in the series there is a good chance they will be main corporate in the upcoming title. I don't think they will continue The Destroyer and Pandora storyline again because it will be boring as hell and fan base will hate for it. Bl3 story was pretty decent for me at least but main villains were soooo bad they game labeled as ''death of borderlands series'' just for Tyreen and Troy being tik tok like dumbass villains. They won't be doing same mistake again. This game will introduce newly developed characters and side story like another Destroyer stylish demon comes from void and threatens all life but no eridians left so its up to vault hunters to stop it. That would be cool actually.
Jack is an amazing character but i feel like itd be too much of a low hanging fruit to bring him back. Id love it if they crafted another villain as great as him for bl4 and be more creative
Conspiracy theories that are common but you did not cover: 1. Rhys is a siren due to his tattoos (mostly discredited now but it's a popular AU) 2. Troy (or Tyreen, but usually Troy) is transgender because conjoined twins are always the same sex 3. Gythian isn't fully dead, it lives on in Wainwright 4. The Ruiner was **not** made by Jakobs, it's a Vault Monster egg that was excavated 5. The War of the Watcher will involve the Eridians themselves returning 6. Angel's mother was a Jakobs 7. Fl4k was AFAB (AFAC?) 8. Izzy from TTWL and Mancubus Bloodtooth are connected 9. Phaseleech is the Seventh Siren 10. Lilith made some kind of deal with the Eridians/Guardians in order to get the ship that would become Sanctuary 3
Izzy and Mancubus share a last name, so that one isn't a theory.... pretty much every character that shares last names (Zane, the Traunts) are related. So either they are family, or Tina somehow met Mancubus and included a nod to him in her BnB campaign.
I have a conspiracy theory that this is the good version of Claptrap. He’s still alive, helping people out in the world. The green claptrap in borderlands 2 is not the same, as this one is pine green instead of lime green with a white stripe instead of black. What do y’all think about my crackpot theory?
*sigh* here we go again with krieg and Tina. Now gearbox is not great with lore continuity, but there is plenty of strong evidence and even more so proved in bl3 dlc. In the fustercluck dlc at the very end you see a vision of past krieg walking away with a woman and a little girl who has bunny ears. That’s what really got me, but until we get more Tina lore to piece it together I think it’s more than a theory
My theory is less a theory and more a necessity. New tales from the borderlands is actually just a in universe movie and nothing that happened in it has any relation to cannon in any way and the main characters aren't even real!
You know, I feel like in my entire time in the Borderlands community, I'm the only person I know of who does not give a fuck about what Zer0 looks like under his mask. I really can't say I've ever cared what or who he is. He's just another character.
Honestly i feel Zer0 is not a alien and not quite a Robot AI but a Cyborg of some kind. I mean it explains the 4 fingers and his tech and appearance. maybe he like lost his hands some how in a fight and got augments (possibly from Atlas) that had 4 fingers. also saying we see Katagawa Junior copy Zer0's tech I doubt Zer0 is a Robot cause that if Zer0 was a robot cause if he was the tech would be part of him and uncopiable.
Quick change stations can replace limbs with whatever at anytime. That’s why Wilhelm can switch out his cyber arm whenever he respecs, also Rhys swapped out his arm when he was impersonating Vasquez. New-U and Quick Change digistruct technology is super overpowered and we never talk about it
I mean a human could use some kind of exo-suit to mimic a robot. Borderlands tech is... varied. to say the least and can pretty much do anything. So even if zero WAS a robot, he could still augment himself to copy zero but I'd prefer if zero wasn't a robot.
I personally think the war the watcher talked about was NOT bl3. I think it be an endgame type thing where all the vault hunters will band together to stop a universe size threat.
yeah because they say "we'll need everyone" but half the characters don't really do much and they add a whole lot more anyway. So I doubt that's the specific thing they're referring to. But also what else could they mean other than the destroyer being freed and the "war against cov" being a siren war
I think that zero is a hybrid between eridian and human because he has human features and eridian also theres other stuff but im too lazy to write it all.
I believe zero is most likely human. Since in borderlands 3 Yakima ray makes the same suit and sword that zero has however it’s never explained how he got the plans to copy zero’s suit. It even has the same hologram power like zero has. So my guess is zero is most likely human but who he is or what he was before might get revealed in bl4.
Can someone please make a mod for bl1 or 2 where u can have 3 ai companions that play as the other vault hunters and follow you around? I feel like it would be so wholesome to actually be able to go on a full 4 person adventure like happens "canonically" when u dont have 4 friends on the same console that would play through a whole game with u
best video ive seen in 4 years but i seen ur other video aboout jake at the end of two when u kill bim he has a green eye and a blue but in the prequel he had the same color eyes when they show him disfigured both eyes are fine hes just burnt u ever catch that
theory for jack i just made: i do actually agree with the current theory of jack actually being the timothy we saw in bl3. but if it is actually timothy there could still be a chance jack can come back. Its proven that jack had thought backups for the chance he did die in order to (sort of) come back. in TFTB he tried to use a body he made for that specific reason and needed rhys' body (or his meat since it would replace his skeleton). My theory is he could have made it so whenever he wants, his mind can take over timothys and go back to his shenanigans
I really hope Jack doesn't come back. The theory you've subscribed to doesn't make much sense. I would be willing to entertain the idea that Jack's dna causes Timothy to turn into Jack kinda like the Joker in Arkham Knight. But even then I'd be against the idea.
@@EpicNNG well one of the eridian writings in BL3 says that the eridians sacrificed their entire race to close the destroyers vault, but there is a very small chance that some eridians went rogue, and the watcher could be one of those rogue eridians.
Why do you pronounce "voyage" in "Claptastic Voyage" as "voy-ahhhj"? I notice a lot of the Borderlands content creators seem to pronounce the word in this manner and I have never heard anyone else pronounce "voyage" in this specific way before. Legitimately curious if there is some lore reason or something.
@@josephgood6531 Unless you're speaking French, that's just not the pronunciation of the word. I've never heard anyone other than Borderlands content creators pronounce the word in English this way - and there are more than a few who pronounce it this way, not just Epic. "Practicable" 😂
In BL2, on the Son of Crawmerax DLC, if you killed 5 special colored craboid enemies within a certain amount of time (I think it's about 10 minutes), Lilith's comment about a "beach episode" comes true and (at the secluded section of the beach, past Crazy Earl) you're greeted with Lilith and Moxxi playing volleyball (sporting bikinis), while Brick builds a sandcastle on top of Tina, while Mordecai soaks up the sun in a beach chair.
Wow all these theories about so many cool but none about o idk the massive skeletons the are all over pandora and have shown up at eden 6. Look I know they are just alien/dinosaur skeletons but come on they had to be SOMETHING at one point. Am I the only one that cares about them?
Bl3 has left me thinking all sorts of things. I definitely think the 7th siren is just all sirens leeched into one super siren but then i cants explain why nyriad says you should never find the 7th. But then goes ahead and hides herself away until typhon finds her. And jack is 100% alive or will be back my theory overall is jack returns and is controlling the leech siren i jus dont no what exactly he is planning.
Zer0 is NOT an alien/robot. he is a human. how do i know this? aliens wouldn't know what a haiku is. they also wouldn't be proficient in human weaponry. For those who are like "HE HAS 4 FINGERS THOUGH", let me remind you that Katagawa jr. (the new head of Maliwan) also has 4 fingers, and wears a suit identical to Zer0's. maliwan is a company with japanese/asian styling behind them. this leads me to believe that Zer0 is ACTUALLY a long-lost/disowned member/relative of the Katagawa family.

zero has four fingers and also doesn’t start panting when running for a while. So he could be an alien or an A.I
ive heard a theory that suggests that the "war" is something about the guardians. the guardians are sentient creatures whos entire purpose is to protect the vaults, and since we pillaged most if not all of the vaults, they now dont have a purpose and are probably going to be very mad.
I'm very interested to see what they do with the war in Borderlands 4. I really hope they don't just retcon the whole thing.
cool idea but seems weird since the whole point of the vaults was to lock the destroyer away until stronger people came along able to beat it.
I mean they literally made a key specifically for opening the vaults... seems flawed if they never intended for it to be opened.
If anything they should be programmed with some kind of understanding of dead destroyer = goal achieved
Tannis was a scientist surviving on pandora for YEARS before she became a siren so she def had the strength yo do it
Love that I can come back and confirm that Tina is kriegs daughter
my theory about zero is that hes propably an eridian and has a female creator (its there in his voice line in bl3) which means thats probably some person that taught him how to speak like a human(almost), made his costume, gave him a katana.
For what I remember Zero has 4 fingers instead of 5. That's what led me to think he's not human.
this handsome jack theory has just done my sweed in
I think one of my favorite theories is that General Zarpadon knew that Elpis was the key to The Great Vault.
If you remember upon meeting her for the first time she said "I'm going to blow up the moon and save the universe"
from time stamp of 1:55 to 2:05 salvador is using a using a midair dash (NOT ROCKET JUMPING) How is he doing that???
just throwing an idea out here, timothy might just be jacks scapegoat if he dies, we know through borderlands 3 you can virtually upload your mind, and timothy has jack's DNA, jack might come back through possibly taking over timothy somehow? just seemed like a small idea
My theory before bl3 was that the Jake duplicate u kill is tim from tps
Theres echo logs in wildlife preserve that may tie into the krieg theory
The only way I can see enjoying jack in BL4 is if he is a backstaby ally, like we NEED him to do something even if we do not, I can see him loving the attention
Zero is an Eridian Prince, sent through time to help the vault hunters win/prevent the war.
Zero is the suit. To remove the mask would be to remove his head.
After presequal I assumed that you kill timothy to disguise as Jack but apparently that was someone completely different
its a different lookalike kid
Timothy is referred to as "The last of the dopplegangers." Last of. Jack had wayyyy more dopplegangers than *just* Timothy
I just want to see him show up and kill Lilith honestly
I hope they dont add handsome jack back bro, at this point they meat riding him.
@@TurskiLik yea, i really dont want gearbox to rely so much on 1 good villain
@TurskiLik if by "they" you mean "the community at large", then you would be correct.
from time stamp of 1:55 to 2:05 salvador is using a using a midair dash (NOT ROCKET JUMPING) How is he doing that???
I thought we fought Timothy in Hyperion in borderlands 2 when there was a jack boss fight there. I could be miss remembering. Also Jack could come back Through Reece from Tales of the borderlands.
Honestly, it would make a lot more sense if the Digi-Jack that Nakayama made was still living inside Rhys and thats how he brought atlas back, and that's how Jack technically didn't survive the events of bl2 but was still planned to come back on Promethea
'The War' the watcher was talking about was more than likely the events of Borderlands 3.
End of BL2, the location of vaults across the system was being revealed, this event was going to be SERIOUS shit (I speculated we were gonna see a Second Corporate Wars!)
The Watcher even said we're gonna need all the vault hunters we can get (Which is what we mostly did BL3...)
There was a pretty big war going on, You had all these parties, the Crimson Raiders, Atlas, Children of the Vault, Maliwan, and so on
I know it sounds very underwhelming, what The Watcher built up sounded amazing, but between BL2, BL:TPS, and TftBL to BL3 things changed, plans changed, ideas changed, and this is what we're left with.
His narrative has concluded, and it's time for a fresh antagonist to emerge, one with a compelling storyline and memorable moments.
theres alot of detail about tina being a daughter of krieg that you didnt cover.
Why everyone is talking about Thimoty... Jack was having many doubles 😂😂😂😂
Conspiracy theories that are common but you did not cover:
1. Rhys is a siren due to his tattoos (mostly discredited now but it's a popular AU)
2. Troy (or Tyreen, but usually Troy) is transgender because conjoined twins are always the same sex
3. Gythian isn't fully dead, it lives on in Wainwright
4. The Ruiner was **not** made by Jakobs, it's a Vault Monster egg that was excavated
5. The War of the Watcher will involve the Eridians themselves returning
6. Angel's mother was a Jakobs
7. Fl4k was AFAB (AFAC?)
8. Izzy from TTWL and Mancubus Bloodtooth are connected
9. Phaseleech is the Seventh Siren
10. Lilith made some kind of deal with the Eridians/Guardians in order to get the ship that would become Sanctuary 3
YO
I gotta do some research on this stuff lol I genuinely have never heard of these theories before
The Phaseleech one is just true, people just misunderstand what Nyriad was saying.
@@EpicNNG Buddy that's what happens when you don't interact with the other, "cringy" side of the fanbase (the fanwork folks) 🤣
@@EpicNNG (no offense)
I think Zer0 is one of those robots from the Bl4 trailer
videos like these are so good
You know, I feel like in my entire time in the Borderlands community, I'm the only person I know of who does not give a fuck about what Zer0 looks like under his mask.
So even if zero WAS a robot, he could still augment himself to copy zero
but I'd prefer if zero wasn't a robot.
For the sake of having the best villian of all time still alive im praying 🙏 hes the only boss i HATE killing because hes such a good character
I think we should retcon tales from the Borderlands and borderlands 3 as non canon
Jack IS the Jackhammer or at least his consciousness is
I think that zero is a hybrid between eridian and human because he has human features and eridian also theres other stuff but im too lazy to write it all.
Maybe the watcher was referring to borderlands 2? That was a pretty big war
absolutely not
@@itisgooddaytobenotdead.5126 yeah I recently rewatched the cutscene and yeah it takes place after 2 lmfao my 🅱️
I believe zero is most likely human. Since in borderlands 3 Yakima ray makes the same suit and sword that zero has however it’s never explained how he got the plans to copy zero’s suit. It even has the same hologram power like zero has. So my guess is zero is most likely human but who he is or what he was before might get revealed in bl4.
Takumara jr*
Aren't you supposed to kill Jack's double in Opportunity in BL2? Wouldn't that be Timothy, and then the real Jack at the Warrior fight?
The body double is a hyperion engineer, not Jack or Timothy
Definitely not Timothy, he exists in BL3
he has many many body doubles
Can someone please make a mod for bl1 or 2 where u can have 3 ai companions that play as the other vault hunters and follow you around? I feel like it would be so wholesome to actually be able to go on a full 4 person adventure like happens "canonically" when u dont have 4 friends on the same console that would play through a whole game with u
best video ive seen in 4 years but i seen ur other video aboout jake at the end of two when u kill bim he has a green eye and a blue but in the prequel he had the same color eyes when they show him disfigured both eyes are fine hes just burnt u ever catch that
I just enjoy BL2 conspiracies for nostalgia.
This was fire good vid
ZER0 IS 100% A ROBOT... you know it at the end of the Moxxis Wedding day Massacre... with the HEAD it gives you
no we dont have handsomejack back
theory for jack i just made: i do actually agree with the current theory of jack actually being the timothy we saw in bl3. but if it is actually timothy there could still be a chance jack can come back.
The Watcher's a Gaurdian, not an Eridian.
Source? I'd love to have concrete proof!
@@EpicNNG well one of the eridian writings in BL3 says that the eridians sacrificed their entire race to close the destroyers vault, but there is a very small chance that some eridians went rogue, and the watcher could be one of those rogue eridians.
It's ALL True!
Why do you pronounce "voyage" in "Claptastic Voyage" as "voy-ahhhj"? I notice a lot of the Borderlands content creators seem to pronounce the word in this manner and I have never heard anyone else pronounce "voyage" in this specific way before. Legitimately curious if there is some lore reason or something.
hes bri*ish
Idk it’s just like route and “root”
@@josephgood6531 Unless you're speaking French, that's just not the pronunciation of the word. I've never heard anyone other than Borderlands content creators pronounce the word in English this way - and there are more than a few who pronounce it this way, not just Epic. "Practicable" 😂
@@Tysonyar plus I will say voyage sounds way better than voy- ahhhj
FTL background music or am i trippin?
Borderlands 3 Sanctuary OST
In BL2, on the Son of Crawmerax DLC, if you killed 5 special colored craboid enemies within a certain amount of time (I think it's about 10 minutes), Lilith's comment about a "beach episode" comes true and (at the secluded section of the beach, past Crazy Earl) you're greeted with Lilith and Moxxi playing volleyball (sporting bikinis), while Brick builds a sandcastle on top of Tina, while Mordecai soaks up the sun in a beach chair.
The Jack theory is the stupidest shit ever but I wouldn’t put it past Randy who honestly isn’t that bright to make it happen
My favorite conspiracy theory is that consulting groups like Sweet Baby Inc are necessary for writing a good story.
Bl4 is an MMO. That’s the war. Borderlands dies after bl4 so a multi year destiny style game is the way to go. And also will be fucking awesome
Mostly just misses here :/
Zer0 is NOT an alien/robot. he is a human. how do i know this?
aliens wouldn't know what a haiku is. they also wouldn't be proficient in human weaponry.
