Every frame Widow is on screen *Ding* "Widow successfully breathing!? That's absurd, she doesn't have any super powers! (Except that she's practically Russian Captain America)"
I have to take issue with Jeremy’s sin about Spiderman villains being Iron Man villains. Yes what Iron Man did to these characters push them into a life of crime but the person who ultimately fights and takes them down is Spiderman. And if you think about it a lot of villains that have appeared in Spiderman rogues gallery became villains and had nothing to do with Spiderman. Spiderman just ended up fighting them. And to the issue that these are villains that Iron Man created, Tony Stark is perhaps the most influential businessman in the Marvel universe. It makes sense he would make some enemies that have knowledge of and access to incredible technology. So people are going to get mad at the MCU’s interconnected universe? Something that they’ve literally been doing since the first MCU film? Then why don’t they get mad that Howard Stark was in Ant-Man? He influenced a lot choices Pym makes in that film.
I think people forget that Spider-man is actually a kid in highschool. I don't know any kids in highschool that have influenced the creation of any super villains. Like Tony Stark owned a company, of course he would have disgruntled employees. Who the hell is Peter pissing off as a normal kid that they've become super villains? Of course for his first couple of movies his villains won't start off caring about him. I'm sure next time Vulture comes around he won't give two shits about Iron Man and will be totally focused on Peter. And they at least had foresight to set some other things up. Like Mac Gargan was just some random criminal buying weapons on the ferry, now he hates Spider-man. Now he'll be a future villain. Spider-man has to piss off criminals before he can make his own villains.
Thank you so much for this. It pisses me off every time people mention that Mysterio and the Vulture were Iron Man's enemies and not Spider-man's enemies. Being part of someone's rogues gallery doesn't mean that they became villains because of the hero they fight, they're part of that hero's rogues gallery because they mainly fight that hero
Another thing I would add is quite a few of Spider-Mans villains are created by Norman Osborn in most iterations. You wouldn’t call these villains Normans villains they are still Spider man villains
Are y’all missing the part where they try to portray SPIDER-MAN as Ironboy? They even played one of the songs from Ironman 1 as if Peter is going to become him or something. This happened when Happy rescued Peter from The Netherlands.
@@MathewAGTales So you're referring the film using reference to Back in Black to make a joke? I think you missed how that scene played Spider-Man's main MCU theme to signal he's ready to stop trying to be like Tony and be like Spider-Man. Also that scene was there to specifically stake the opposite. Happy even stated Peter will never be Tony.
Also, agreed on J.K. Simmons. He is the definitive J. Jonah Jameson, and contra Jeremy, I was ecstatic to see that they got him back to play Jameson again. That's the biggest thing that has me pumped for Spider-Man 3.
When I saw him, I laughed hysterically and cried tears of joy. Other people stared at me, but I didn't care. I'm really excited to see J. Jonah Jameson again.
@Writer B.L. Alley Yeah, I heard that after watching S-M: FFH - wasn't familiar with it beforehand. Quite fitting, really, the _Daily Bugle_ was *always* a trashy rag that never let the truth get in the way of a headline... :P
Agreed, some actors are just too amazing to let go of - like Judy Dench's M in the Bond series. For me, J.K Simmons will always first and foremost be Schillinger of OZ, but he's a really versatile actor that can be very funny as well - as we clearly see in his portrayal of Jameson. His "You serious" laughing meme is one of the very best things to ever hit the internet, and I will never get tired of that laughter😂
"How old is 16 really?" In Scotland 16-year-olds can vote, marry, legally can make babies and are counted as adults (with some restrictions like 17 is the driving age and 18 is alcohol drinking age). So if you asked Scotland, the answer is an adult.
But here's the thing I don't get. How are they high schoolers still - weren't they waiting for five years? So basically Tom in homecoming was 11? How are they all still in high school excluding the people who got snapped. That should've been a sin. Another sin would be, how careless aunt may is just forgetting everything what happened in infinity war. Another sin would be the stupidity of Tony handing out Edith to Peter knowing how irresponsible he is
i think jon watts occasionally takes inspiration or recreates thing from games because with this one and the reference with the slefie while swinging to spiderman ps4 it's obvious that he has played something...another thing i think he might have taken inspiration is the duoble web function in homecoming because in spiderman 2 with upgrades you could trap 2 thugs for each hand shooting two different web lines from the same one (this one might be a coincidence though)
@@Th3Birdman No wonder you love Alien. HR Geiger was a genius designer. I personally would’ve added 100 sins to Jeremy for pronouncing Geiger as Gigger in that Alien video.

@@mickys8065 yes it's confirmed. In Homecoming, he's seen working on his web fluid formula. It's confirmed again in Far From Home when he talks about the implications of the existence of a multiverse. Peter would definitely have compensated, even if it was on a subconscious level
@@umutonuralppolat9352 Mate, inertia is entirely related to this. An object in motion will remain in motion unless acted on by an exterior force. Peter will continue to travel at the same rate as the bus unless acted on by air resistance.
Considering that the whole Mysterio Sequence was completely planned out by Beck and his crew, and that anything physical can be covered by effects, it’s very much possible that almost everything in the sequence that happened to Peter physically, could have actually happened. First, he was in a multi-level building, so any falls could actually happen, it’s just that the floor of the lower levels is projected to look different. Anytime Peter is hit, it could possibly be something Beck put in physically irl to hit Peter at a certain time. There are also little moments where it show what’s really happening. Like right before the whole mirror reflection sequence, it shows multiple Drones flying out of the building and actually becoming the Mirror shards. Also at the end of the sequence it explains the snow globe, and how the snow was replicated. It’s little bits of rubble on the ground.
Jeremy is definitely getting shit wrong on purpose. He literally showed a scene in his Endgame video that said Captain Marvel is busy with other planets, and he still asks why Talos didn’t call her to help with Earth.
Maybe in “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” we’re getting to see past Marvel Movie Universes like the previous Spider-Man incarnations or the main Fox-X-Men Universe.
My favorite part about these vids is that you almost treat it like a conversation with Jeremey. “As I just explained....” kind of implying he heard you and ignored you. Just another reason this channel is so much better
I knew already that Talos was tracking Peter, so it wasn’t a surprise to me that Beck knew, since he earned their trust with Cyclone in Mexico. We didn’t see Sandman because he’s about to be in No Way Home.
Mysterio is my absolute favorite Spider-Man villain. This movie was like a treat, the characterization of Quintin Beck was FANTASTIC! Its not entirely comic accurate but, still amazing.
Tom Eye The SFM guy I guess so, but I don’t think lots of action necessarily results in best scene of the film. I mean, obviously it’s down to personal opinion, but I personally think the scene with Peter and Happy on the jet is just much better
@@kinnexion my favourite scene is actually when he has to literally build a bomb on the fly because he has no webs and then jumps with the improvised shield on the concussive blaster of one of the destroyed drones to get to mysterio quickly...so if the whole fight still didn't showcase peter's intelligence while fighting that scene must be the one doing it
Jeremy said Karl Urban should have been JJ because JK 'breaks continuity' and 'pulls [him] out of the movie' but then suggested KARL URBAN a man who was in Thor Ragnarok as a fairly important character.
7:29 There's also the possibility that Beck and his goons planned Peter's trip, because we don't really find out who organised this trip round the world, but that's going in to theory land...
Maybe the goons are behind it but considering a good amount of American high schools have programs like this or classes that take trips abroad (the high school I went to had a 2 week trip/exchange to Shanghai bc of the Mandarin class, an exchange to Barcelona and also I think the French class might have started doing an exchange as well) I’d say it’s not that deep, it’s just a school trip that was infiltrated but as always I could be wrong if the writers come out and clarify ever
@@aryannaherasme5569 Beck and them don't even really have to plan the trip themselves. The elementals are all illusions they engineered which means they're 100% portable. All they had to do was find out the spot the trip started at and make the hydro monster appear at that very spot. And then after that, Nick Fury (Talos) and Beck simply change the course of the trip as they please to work with their own agenda. The teachers dont even question when suddenly they get randomly told to go to Prague instead of the already set plan lmfao. It wasnt exactly hard work for them to hijack the trip
I honestly can't watch cinemasins sin "good movies" because most of their sins are bs and it triggers me so much to listen to them, so I thank the heavens your channel exist
Is it just me, or did Jeremy manage to tone down the idiocy in this, compared to Birdman's video? If he did, then he clearly acknowledged Birdman's vid, if he didn't, then Birdman actually demonstrated he's better at portraying parody than Jeremy.
Jeremy lives to BS his way though movies, for example sinning a comedy movie for being a comedy. There’s one scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation where Clark is in the attic watching old home movies and Jeremy says is a skip scene when it’s actually showing why Clark is so determined to have the perfect family Christmas.
@@jbcatz5 the "skip" sins are for the scene being boring and lengthy. it could be crucial to the movie but if it isn't entertaining or at least interesting then a casual viewer may skip it.
svlymxn And that is a sin against Jeremy and his need for hand holding. The movie is showing us why Clark is obsessed with the perfect family Christmas, giving his actions in the movie more depth. It’s far more effective than Clark just saying everything needs to be perfect and makes viewers sympathetic to Clark. If it were casual exposition it wouldn’t be as effective. If you skip over the boring bits, you need to dedicate more time to watching or just watch something that treats you like a child as to what’s important and why.
Thunder Ryu maybe time travel IS possible, but nobody does it because it’s basically a death sentence because they would arrive in the vacuum of space...
If you did send them back to the exact point they were at, where would that even be? Because not only is the earth moving but so is the solar system and the entire galaxy
Bruce Willis used to be Unbreakable, but then he Died Hard and ended up gaining a Sixth Sense. It was all one story and we didn't even realize it. And he didn't even get to keep his father's watch.
It’s really funny how he said “it breaks continuity” when an actor from another movie plays the same character yet suggests Karl urban who has already played a character in the mcu
Cinemasins sinning J.K. Simmons for being J. Jonah Jameson in two Universes clearly skimmed the DC CW shows when doing their TV sins. In their multiverse: John Wesley Ship plays Henry Allen of Earth-1, Jay Garrick (The OG Flash) of Earth-3, and Barry Allen (The Flash) of his original 90s show. Harrison Wells of pretty much every Earth in the multiverse is played by Tom Cavanaugh Brandon Routh is both Superman from the Superman Returns Earth, but also Ray Palmer/The Atom of Earth-1 Kevin Conroy is not only The Batman from Batman The Animated Series, but also Kingdom Come/Dark Knight Returns Bruce Wayne of Earth-99 who gave up being a hero and started killing his enemies.
At 10:25, the reason why Fury is so aggressive towards Peter for mentioning Captain Marvel is because he's Talos. From the Captain Marvel solo film, Talos has some sort of rivalry towards Carol. This is one of those moments in some films that has a different meaning during a 2nd viewing.
I actually think Venom 2 will be much better...as long as Carnage is the bad guy. Riot and...whoever the human was, weren’t a big enough antagonist for Venom to contrast against.
I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed Spiderman 3. I just don't get why it's so bad. Sure, Peter has some very cringeworthy scenes, but that was the point, and I think Toby Maguire did excellent. My only real complaint was MJ.
Jeremy would be right here. Air resistance has to be taken into account. You’ve gone from a closed system which by definition has conservation of momentum, to an object outside that closed system. For example If you drop that same tennis ball out the window of a car it doesn’t hit the ground at the same point next to the car because the forces applied to it have suddenly changed
All of that being said, saying that it's just air resistance and not momentum, which are two properties that both have to be considered together when outside of a vacuum, would also be wrong. So probably sin for both videos here, eh?
Having The Hulk do the snap back was brilliant because not only could he take it, this version of Banner is not only the third smartest man in the MCU (currently), he's also the most sensitive and thoughtful, so all the little details needed to do it safely would have been considered by showtime.
15:47 You can also sin his mispronunciation of Berlin, New Hampshire. More emphasis goes to the first syllable, as opposed to the second. It’s different from the pronunciation for Berlin, Germany.
Eh I wouldn’t say by a mile, but I agree that Spider-Man 2 is the best one. Then Spider-Verse in an extremely close second, followed by Homecoming, Spider-Man 1, Far From Home, Spider-Man 3, ASM 1, and 2 in that order.
I remember when I was a kid and my dad blew my mind explaining momentum to me. I asked why a fly in a car doesn't just get yeeted against the back window. I also learned this in like 9th grade. My point is I learned this multiple times as a kid, what world did jeremey live in?
Just to add some clarity here, when you hyphenate something, it doesn't make that thing one word. Perfect example: Mexican naming culture. When Mexican people name their children, usually (but not always) they are given the last names of their mother and father, and it is hyphenated: Alexander Ruiz-Martinez for example. Ruiz-Martinez is clearly not one word, it is two. In our case, Spider-Man is two words that describe one person, same as Iron Man or Captain America. It is just stylized with a hyphen. If his name were Spiderman, then it would be one word, but the fact there there IS a hyphen means you are adding a (very) small stop, similar to a comma. "Verse" is a shortening of the word Universe, so essentially what you are saying is Spider Universe. These are clearly two words that have been stylized to represent one thing. Anyway, there's my reasoning.
“drones could never do this” YES AND NANO TECH IS SO REALISTIC OH AND ALSO THE INFINITY STONES AND THE BLIP ARE SOOO LOGICAL AND OH PETERS POWERS ARE EXTREMELY PLAUSIBLE WOW
Damn! Good video. I never thought I’d find a channel debunking some of these points. And you even bring up some points what I never thought about like the one about hulk wishing everyone to come back SAFELY. I’m subscribing👌
i was watching the original one yesterday thinking " i hope birdman calls out jeremy for that dumb momentum sin and also makes a flat earth joke" . thank you for delivering . youre one of my favorite channels
Idk I'm still kind of with cinemasins on that one. He even admits that the wind would play a factor affecting momentum so yeah cinemasins was indeed correct by saying that's not how momentum works.
i actually love the mcu iron spider suit *because* there’s blue in it. i’ve never liked the iron spider suit because it’s just... weird looking to me. i dunno, it never did it for me. but the mcu one captures the iron man-y stuff as well as the spider-man-y stuff. but to each their own yo.
Also complaining it's "not Spider-Man" when he's wearing the Iron Spider suit is missing the point that that's.. kinda one of the big themes of the film. Later he crafts HIS OWN suit as a triumphant moment and we all know Jeremy already saw the movie so he has to know that. A big thing is about Peter finding his own path and own way of doing things without Tony's stuff.
For reasons that will only matter to me, I really liked CinemaSins reference to Black Sheep's "The Choice Is Yours". It reminds me of where I was the first time I danced to that song. I wouldn't have given that moment a sin (nor would I have skipped it) because of the smile it put on my face. But I realize that I'm the only person (probably) who liked that moment in CinemaSins' video.
Rich families sending their kids to regular public schools is actually extremely common. I used to live in Seattle, went to one of the most underfunded schools in the city, I swear half the population there was rich kids. I remember going to my friends house and being shocked that he lived in this 4 story 5 bathroom apartment while Seattle was and still facing a massive poverty problem!
You are not alone. There are a lot of people like you and honestly it makes me sad. Venom could have been sooooo much better. Alas, I am holding out hope for Venom 2. Venom is my favorite comic book character and I HATE that they divorced his origin from Spider-Man, ruined his costume AND made him a little bitch (Riot is HIS daughter, not his superior). To see so many people accept that film actually hurts my soul.
Th3Birdman now that’s something I’ll say, I haven’t really read comics so that aspect didn’t bother me. It’s not perfect but to me it’s not as bad as people say.
@@Th3Birdman I agree it rips the comics apart but that doesn't mean it isn't a fun movie in it's own right. For example Joker basically wasn't a movie about the Joker but was still a great movie. Furthermore, the Venom movie is in not just a different universe to the comics but a different multiverse and (in my oppinion) that means it is acceptable to have a completely different character have the same name. Just look at the characters from alternate universes in both Marvel and DC many of them have little to no likeness to their namesakes in mainline continuity.
@@justanotherglorpsdaymornin5097 Don't get me wrong-- I'm glad people have the ability to enjoy something that I don't; more positivity in the world of film is a _good_ thing. I am just disappointed with the movie, myself. I don't mean to make others feel bad for not sharing my opinion. You like what you like, I am fine with that. My only problem is movies tend to become the definitive iteration of the characters-- for example, we now have an entire generation of people that believe Tony Stark created Ultron, when it was actually Ant-Man (Hank Pym) who did that. It's similar to how we had people believing that Spider-Man's webs were organic. We've only recently gotten people to shake that idea; believe me, there was a shitstorm trying to explain to people that web shooters are how the character actually uses webs (outside of Peter eventually developing organic webs in some of the comics).

When J.K. Simmons appeared as JJJ, my reaction was a hearty "Fuck YES!" Also loved that they turned him and Daily Bugle into an Alex Jones parody.
@Writer B.L. Alley Yeah, I heard that after watching S-M: FFH - wasn't familiar with it beforehand. Quite fitting, really, the _Daily Bugle_ was *always* a trashy rag that never let the truth get in the way of a headline... :P
I jumped up and down in my seat like "Holy SHIT NO WAY" when he was on screen. It was fantastic.
"How old is 16 really?"
In Scotland 16-year-olds can vote, marry, legally can make babies and are counted as adults (with some restrictions like 17 is the driving age and 18 is alcohol drinking age).

To be fair, air resistance definitely should have slowed down Peter enough for him to not land in the same spot. Cinemasins was still wrong though so the sin is legit
yeah birdman acknowledged that
But that also implies that Peter strictly jumped up, but he could well have jumped up and a little back to compensate for the air resistance

@@mickys8065 yes it's confirmed. In Homecoming, he's seen working on his web fluid formula. It's confirmed again in Far From Home when he talks about the implications of the existence of a multiverse. Peter would definitely have compensated, even if it was on a subconscious level

Bruh he doesn’t want captain marvel because she can tell that he isn’t really nick fury

Sin #39
The idea of the Multiverse hasn’t been explored yet? Did you not WATCH Dr. Strange? That was one of the concepts introduced in the movie!
Right. And where going even more into it with multiverse of madness.
TF2Fan101 Jeremy even complained about it lol.
Maybe in “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” we’re getting to see past Marvel Movie Universes like the previous Spider-Man incarnations or the main Fox-X-Men Universe.
And in the Endgame they introduced the concept of alternative timelines.
My favorite part about these vids is that you almost treat it like a conversation with Jeremey. “As I just explained....” kind of implying he heard you and ignored you. Just another reason this channel is so much better
I dont think you gave him enough sins for the J.K simmons Sin
I didn't even notice Beck was in the background. WOW!
I knew already that Talos was tracking Peter, so it wasn’t a surprise to me that Beck knew, since he earned their trust with Cyclone in Mexico. We didn’t see Sandman because he’s about to be in No Way Home.
“Aunt May, tingling peters” - I’m dead 😂
While i was watching Cinemasins video, the whole time i was wondering "What would Birdman say?"
That's how it's been like for me too.
That's how I watch all their videos now.
The "what would Birdman say" sounds like a mantra that I would follow
Mysterio is my absolute favorite Spider-Man villain. This movie was like a treat, the characterization of Quintin Beck was FANTASTIC! Its not entirely comic accurate but, still amazing.
18:36 This sin is so hilarious in hindsight now that No Way Home confirms that the Raimi and Webb movies are indeed separate universes.
My favourite part is how fast Ned’s relationship with Betty progressed😂
I always enjoy Th3Birdman spoiling the "best scene" of the movie during the intro.

Jeremy said Karl Urban should have been JJ because JK 'breaks continuity' and 'pulls [him] out of the movie' but then suggested KARL URBAN a man who was in Thor Ragnarok as a fairly important character.
Jeremy is a twit, these are things we know.
For the record, I thoroughly enjoyed BOTH of your TED talks.

Is it just me, or did Jeremy manage to tone down the idiocy in this, compared to Birdman's video? If he did, then he clearly acknowledged Birdman's vid, if he didn't, then Birdman actually demonstrated he's better at portraying parody than Jeremy.
SRA Online i swear to you, he actually upped the idiocy,
Half the sins were bs in his original video, im not kidding
No it’s gotten worse.

Cinemasins: OMG ITS THE SAME UNIVERSE
Bruce Willis used to be Unbreakable, but then he Died Hard and ended up gaining a Sixth Sense. It was all one story and we didn't even realize it. And he didn't even get to keep his father's watch.
It’s really funny how he said “it breaks continuity” when an actor from another movie plays the same character yet suggests Karl urban who has already played a character in the mcu
12:34 huh, thanks, you just taught me momentum. I'm not Jeremy or a Flat Earther I just genuinely didn't know that so thanks.
I was worried he'd ignore wind forces. Thank goodness he didn't.
The train scene and it's aftermath with scared Peter has an emotional impact that really hit me
To quote Anakin Skywalker: This Is Where The Fun Begins
Cinemasins sinning J.K. Simmons for being J. Jonah Jameson in two Universes clearly skimmed the DC CW shows when doing their TV sins. In their multiverse:
John Wesley Ship plays Henry Allen of Earth-1, Jay Garrick (The OG Flash) of Earth-3, and Barry Allen (The Flash) of his original 90s show.
Harrison Wells of pretty much every Earth in the multiverse is played by Tom Cavanaugh
Brandon Routh is both Superman from the Superman Returns Earth, but also Ray Palmer/The Atom of Earth-1
Kevin Conroy is not only The Batman from Batman The Animated Series, but also Kingdom Come/Dark Knight Returns Bruce Wayne of Earth-99 who gave up being a hero and started killing his enemies.
The Venom and Spider-Man 2 slander😂 I think Venom was a good movie given the circumstances and what they could work with
so glad i'm not the only one here!
I actually think Venom 2 will be much better...as long as Carnage is the bad guy.
Riot and...whoever the human was, weren’t a big enough antagonist for Venom to contrast against.
Venom was ass
I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed Spiderman 3. I just don't get why it's so bad. Sure, Peter has some very cringeworthy scenes, but that was the point, and I think Toby Maguire did excellent. My only real complaint was MJ.
It’s as if people forget Venom isn’t just a Spider-Man villain
12:30 Jeremy had a point , but he confused momentum with forward acceleration
Yeah, Birdman explained this.
Please tell me you’re joking
Rabadash wouldn’t the air resistance be what causes him to hit the top of the bus because the wind hits him as he jumps out of the bus?
Jeremy would be right here. Air resistance has to be taken into account. You’ve gone from a closed system which by definition has conservation of momentum, to an object outside that closed system. For example If you drop that same tennis ball out the window of a car it doesn’t hit the ground at the same point next to the car because the forces applied to it have suddenly changed
All of that being said, saying that it's just air resistance and not momentum, which are two properties that both have to be considered together when outside of a vacuum, would also be wrong. So probably sin for both videos here, eh?
Jeremy sinning J.K Simmons is not a sin
But a HERESY!
Hence, why Jerm got 100 sins.
Berlin, NH actually exists? Then the location gag doesn’t even work.
I almost always agree with you Birdman, but Spiderman 2 is the best Spiderman movie. Definitely better than both mcu films by a mile.
Agreed.
Second best for me. It goes like spiderverse, Spiderman 2, Spiderman 1, homecoming, ffh, amazing Spider-Man, amazing Spider-Man 2
Nah I like far from home and spider verse and homecoming then the amazing film and then the other trilogy
He lived in lalaland

17:40 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is four words.
qballer82 1. Spider
2.man
3.into
4.the
5.spider
6.verse
the beauty of hyphens.
Jackass

Also complaining it's "not Spider-Man" when he's wearing the Iron Spider suit is missing the point that that's.. kinda one of the big themes of the film.
