Do you mean the spring top cap to the top of the triple? The top of the cap (not the nut portion) that's not exact,.these were at around 2mm, just make sure they are even.
Help ., dealer won't work on anything this old . Your video convinced me I can do this . Can a piece of PVC pipe be used in place of the seal install tool ? Seems like it was used to push the seal down without much pressure at all
@@TepcoCycleRepair Thank you so much. I really enjoy my older bikes, but it is increasingly getting more difficult to find shops that work on them. Even the 2012 Road Glide is nearing its life span You're doing a great service with your videos. Thanks for the confidence.

@@whdbnrm3023 No slide hammer, after you take the retaining clip out, you pull the upper and lower away from each other "like a slide hammer". A few hard pulls apart and they will come apart.

Yes you can, I used a PVC tube for years before I could afford a seal tool. Just make sure you guide it in straight. You can do this!

what happen to the springs?
You don't have to touch them when you're just doing the seals.
What brand seals did you put in?
The new ones were OEM Honda, the old ones were "leak proof" brand.
@@TepcoCycleRepair dang, I just bought "leak proof" for mine 🤦♂️
