This loft is its own piece of art. Chyelle (also known as FBookMarketSlut on Instagram) has created a layered, botanical, design forward space that overflows with quirky beauty and retro charm. Not only is the outcome stylish, it's a great example of furnishing an apartment by rehabilitating, recycling and conserving resources. It is not an exaggeration, nearly this entire apartment is furnished with Facebook Marketplace finds. Check out her IG for weekly curated finds in the tri-state area.
Since moving into her rented space, Chyelle (who lives with one roommate) has installed a glass block wall, renovated the bathroom (she got a tub!), removed a wall to create a dining space, installed a washer and dryer, retiled the kitchen counters and backsplash, designed two steel ladders to access the loft space, coordinated the building of a deck, added an archway in the foyer, and built a mini loft for her two cats, Qadir and Martin, among so many other projects.

As someone who grew up in a hoader home, she is not a hoarder. That's a psychological state in which the person hold onto things out of anxiety but also hates the conditions in which they leave. She enjoys her clutter, and it is clear that she cares for her items and places them with intention.

Loft spaces are ideal if you want to display collections of big art pieces, tapestries, rugs or quilts, and in Chyelle's world, chairs. Love the elevated platform built for storage. In a way, her home looks cozy to me. Love that her adorable kitty has plenty of space to run around in.
Such great taste. She has so many fun pieces and has put them together in such a cohesive way.

She has her own taste. She is able to live on a loft and place all of her things and still feels free to move around in her own home without walking on top of her items in a clean place. Goodness gracious it’s her place!

It's very visually clutter. I feel claustrophobic looking at her space. Although have to say, this space looks lived in and reminds me of Hong Kong.

Very homely and she’s made use of every square inch of space. I’d place a rectangular rug in front of the sofa to make it even more of a snug area, and a rectangular glass-topped coffee table on top of the rug would look gorgeous too. Well done!

i also have bohemian style decore and a studio apartment, but just less messy looking, there is just so much stuff all arond. maybe its her style,good for her but to me its just very busy, cluttered and looks more like a second hand furniture shop than a home. looks more like a hoardet home. but hey, most important that she is happy there. but how much stuff person really needs, at the end of the day person need so little.

I very much liked the first video of this apartment, found the deco genius, but today much less. It looked very cluttered and I liked the previous living room setting better. But it's truly a great space I would love to live in.

It looks like how the loft would have looked before conversion if run by a junk yard. How do you clean it? Shame it’s a great space and one could do something fantastic with it.
Many of us think this is a fantastic use of space. She made the space what she wanted because she is the one living there. Remember that this channel is to showcase different styles. There is no wrong way to decorate your own home.
With a space of that magnitude she could have created a large dining area for comfort and visual balance.
The boxed step up loft in the current dining area created more clutter and unevenness for the guests

I love the loft and I'm enjoying the tour but unfortunately that background music is fighting her every inch of the way. I hate to put it on mute because I'd like to hear what she says but that music is like oil and vinegar drowning her out.
