I just got mine a week ago and all I can say is WOW, Love this thing..... My youngest son was flying it outside and through the house, Downstairs and back up and out my window on his first flight lol..... Best Purchase EVER. Great Video BTW :)
This actually the video I've been looking for on using the control, thank you for making it. I just recently bought an Avata 2 and can't wait try it and after watching your video I'm really hyped now.
I've been flying FPV since the fall of 2014, no world class racer here but I can fly without thinking about it. This DJI and other drones demonstrate how much the technology has changed in the last ten years. Rate mode FPV is fairly difficult to master, the DJI makes FPV available for those who don't want to put in the time on a sim or crashing the real thing over and over. Not to mention the clarity of HD goggles over the analog units I started with. The freedom of movement and the absolute madness of a 12:1 power to weight ratio is exhilarating beyond description. If i'm ever stressed out one quick flight fixes me up good. Careful, it's a rabbit hole of kit and fun. ;)
What is that triangle symbol in the bottom center of goggles screen (seen at 3:09) and how to enable/disable it? I've watched many avata 2 videos and only a few of them show that symbol.
It has built in adjustable lenses and comes with a spare stronger pair that you can also use. If you have astigmatism you may need to get your own lenses made that will fit. There are a few companies that will do this for the goggles. 👍
@@azad-11 that's amazing! Now I just need to find a work around my oily face lol. Main reason why I don't own a VR headset or anything like this is cause I don't want all that to get on the headset every time I wear it.
@@Vastfill Ha ha, I'm not sure what the solution is for oily face in the goggles. 😀 Take a flask with little mini towels inside steaming hot water to wash your face? Might work 😄🤞
I'm just finished with the mechanical design of my own drone, everything turned out just like I wanted it, it prints great on a single build plate. As soon as I'm finished testing and tuning it will be released for download. Would you be interested in testing it out? I don't think you live far from me judging by the nature. It only has one motor ;)
You were able to toss launch the original Avata in manual. I have seen videos already of people taking off from the ground directly with the Avata 2. So as long as you're in manual mode toss launching should work. Though I have not seen a video yet of it done with this drone.
That does look very easy to fly dispite me crashing and fucking up every drone that I've ever had so i stopped using them but i may eventually give this one a try
I got the mini 4 pro, and whike it is no real fpv, you can do some dynamic fpv like shots as well if you put the gimbal in fpv mode and practice a bit. (I uploaded my first testflights on here). This should work wit the mini2se as well
I wish TH-camrs wouldn’t call this a beginner drone. It makes it sound like an entry level less feature rich drone. That’s not what this drone is about.
I have the whole thing and I am so tempted to return it and get rid of this night mare the Avata 2! The goggles 3 are uncomfortable as hell. It's cheap soft plastic cushion free to hard molded plastic. It is uncomfortable has hell around my forehead and tight. I have a bigger head and it is not comfortable. When you have to look around and lift it up I have to be worried about it falling off because there is not much holding it up. I get this great smear effect on the lenses that makes it a pain in the ass to see anything. For me the Goggles 2 is far, far better when it comes to general use. The controller for flying is crap! You don't really control the speed very well at all. Anytime you start to release the trigger the whole fucking craft buckles and slows down quickly in a jerking motion. The original controller you can easy off and it slows down, but it doesn't do this jerking effect. Max speed in normal is about 26mph and in S Mode it's about 36mph. Not very impressive and not doing the 40 MPH claimed. The Avata after removing a few screws is not very repairable like the Avata 1 where you can buy the prop guard or the guard up top and remove a few screws and replace either one. The Screws on the Avata 2 to remove are not the same type of screw heads like the Blade removal. All the little features are cool, but the Goggles 3 and that janky dong of a controller for actual flight is a freaking joke.

Ordered as Olar said his Grandfather can fly it - but I do have the Avata 1
Sold! I'm an FAA Certified pilot who flies for a living and I've been wanting to get into FPV for years. Love it!

What you can do with just the motion controller is actually insane.
Thanks for a great day out!🤌
yea it's pretty sick!
Never used a FPV drone before but was always interested in them. Now thanks to you, and your vife, I want one. You are great by the way.
ahaha thank you, these drones are super fun!
This was the first time I tried an FPV drone, what a thrill 😅 anyone good at flying them here?

Excellent breakdown of the Avata 2. Thanks for sharing. Every time I see one of these films it makes me want to get an Avata myself!
Just subscribed.
Your friend is an absolute legend getting his grandpa to fly the Avata, lol so awesome ! Cool video dude
does anyone know if dronetweaks will work for the Avata 2? i want one but im not flying it in crappy CE mode
beautiful video, thanks for the ideas
And I like you and you your personality ❤⚘️

It points to your home location.
Awesome stuff man! Definitely need to look at getting one of these.
It’s great!
Good job. If you hadn't said you were a beginner, would never have known from the footage!
What if you have glasses?
Not sure actually sorry 😅

This one is nice 👌🏻

I loved this review, thanks!!!
So glad you liked it!
Nice.... so why exactly did i buy the mini pro 2 some months ago again ?..
Because they are for different things? The mini is a flying tripod for video and photos.
Hello how far you can fly pls?
I heard the range is terrible like 300 meters?
I've got a mini 3 Pro with the Integra Goggles bundle and want this for the thrills. Is it worth the change?
It’s a totally different drone tbh, not really comparable. If you want th le thrills then this is it
@@thaticelandicguy thought I replied. I picked it up and can't wait to try it
does it have to take off from ground or can i just toss it in air like all FPV drones and just fly it ?...

How to shoot portrait mode in dji avata 2?....aspect ratio 9:16
Unfortunately the only way is to crop the footage.

9:30 I believe it stores a degraded version with OSD information of the flight on the goggles too. The goggles should have another Memory card.
Nice and intresting video
Thank you so much 😀
I wish I could get one of these but it’s to much for me rn
Great review bro
Thank you!
I love her reactions 😂😂

Do you need a license to drive this drone in Sweden? Great video btw! 👍
Yes you need if they are above 250g

FPV = Crashes.
Beginner = Crashes.
To fix a cracked prop guard, this drone has to be shipped to #DJI 💸💸
#Avata2 is NOT a beginner drone.
I'd love if they put 2 cameras for each eye, so you could puke when flying the drone

The perfect beginner drone dji fpv 😂 stop the selling
You've been flying drones since 2016 so you are a very experienced drone flyer. You make out you are a complete beginner. Fake!
fake news!!!!! In my defence then this is the first time since I fly an fpv drone
You said 8-9 times easy to use it. Don’t sell it, just experience bro!
Good point! I was honestly just surprised. Dji talked me into doing this since I said no like 2 times bc I was sure I couldn’t fly it
