I bought the entire Explorer Combo and Fly More kit for the AVATA 1 last week, I haven't unboxed a thing and decided today to send EVERYTHING BACK... including ND filters and extra props to purchase the NEW AVATA 2. 😂😂😂 CHEERS! 🍻
I bought my Avata a month or two before this one came out. Super jealous but whatevs...got the controller 2 today and gonna have some fun. Hopefully get into DIY after this run
Great post! I’ve tried everything you covered, my flips and slides are more flat (less bounce that’s shown in yours) almost like it’s on a table top smooth like! Perhaps it’s from a firmware update, but it’s great! Really stable flight, and smooth for me as a new FPV guy! Can’t believe how easy this has been. Had planned to fly goggles with Mini 4 Pro’s obstacle avoidance first, until I learned controls, but went straight to flying Avata! Now I can’t put it down! Battery life got (18-22) better after several charges! Thanks a ton!🇺🇸
Oh yeah… Ya know the double-tap on the side for getting frontal view by the goggles cameras? I forgot how, but I quick double clicked the side scroll button on the side used for selecting the Acro you want? That gives you the view too! I couldn’t get consistent view using the double tap on side of the goggles. Thanks!
Finally got some outdoor flights in (not garage) and did pretty well. Even managed to to all the Acro shots. Thanks for all your tutelage that helped me get to this point! I have a Mini 4 Pro that I’d planned to fly first for the obstacle protections til I figured out the motion controller. Turns out, didn’t need to do that, went right to the Avata 2, and even got into Sport mode! WOW! Now I’m hooked! Thanks again! You’re Awesome!🇺🇸
Great video! The slide Acro is not designed to be pressed when not moving. The slide is a similar shot to what you see with Car Chases. The drone flies towards the car and then slides backwards while keeping the car in the subject frame. Doesn’t work without movement,😂
🤣My wife is going to call me a big kid when she see this one show up. My first drone I still love because of it's ease of use and what I use it for I love. It's the hover air 1. My second drone is the mini 3 pro which I love for what it can do. Now this FPV drone looks exciting, so placing my order!
5:53 It's cool sir..8:27 beautiful view...11:18 super cool...The new DJI Avata 2 sounds like a great option for beginner FPV pilots Sir. The easy Acro mode and the 180 drift feature seem like they would be a lot of fun to use 😃
Love it. I couldn't quite pull the trigger on the Avata 1 but this one is much "more refined", as you put it. Just purchased it, and it's on its way...
You probably won't need glasses because of the diopter adjustments it has, but I would imagine that if you wanted to wear glasses with the goggles, it would not be comfortable.
@@ZakariasChronicles No problem at all. If you want to see Kelly's video in which he mentions the diopter adjustments and how you can actually see the exact number on screen of your diopter settings, search for the Ready Set Drone Avata 2 video on TH-cam. Kelly actually mentioned Aldryn in his video, which was pretty funny.
Picked up my Avata Teaux 10AM 4/11 from local Best Buy. Feels and flys so much better that the OG Avata (but I still like the OG). The new features are wonderful and I can get some Acro in my flights without all the hard work. And the Goggles 3 - Fire! Thanks for sharing! Like 820
On the quick flip side, I'd like to see how well we can just do it on the Controller 3 in manual mode. If only that smooth. I hope one day we can just do a manual mode version with the stick when you rotate the stick it will just do a roll or spin depending on how you move the stick. Not sure how well that would work out, but it does seem cool. Give you more of that Mavrick experience.
Just ordered it with the flymore package. Before I just had an Air 2. Are you going to do a vid on the best lens filters to get for the immersive experience?
Hey, excellent post! Wow! Flying the Mini 3, and Mini 4 Pro right now. Interested in the FPV experience one day. Will try it on the Mini 4 Pro first…seems the Avatar 2’s goggles, and motion controller are compatible with the Mini 4 Pro! (According to the DJI Store) Say whaaa’…that will make it simpler and less expensive too so may try it even sooner. Thanks!
TH-camrs need to stop calling this a beginner drone. It makes it sound like this is some boring entry level drone. It’s not. It’s the opposite. This is a very fun drone. That’s the target focus.
I wasn’t even going to consider one of those Avata 2 drones, I just realized it’s no longer a pusher, they flipped the props over more like a normal drone. Maybe I’m back to considering, depending on bans and stuff I guess.
Do the goggles lenses have the same image in each lens? I'm blind in one eye, and years ago I had some Fat Sharks that showed the same image in each so I could get by with one eye. Always have enjoyed your videos. Joe
I really wanna buy this drone. But I dont wanna learn with the RC motion controller. I will like to start with RC controller 3. Can I use the RC controller 3 to fly in anything than manual?
I was like…mehh, I mean I JUST got my Avata 1…but all the features changed my mind. The question is, can you NOW fly full speed with the Motion Controller 3 which is what I have been wanting…while I practice with the traditional remote control sticks
GREAT Review!!! This will definitely be on MY "To Get List"!!! Thanks for sharing!!! SN: Mannnn, Get you a new "landing pad" Bro!!!#Respectfully LOL #Salute
I wasn't even interested in the first version, but this one looks much more interesting. However, I wear glasses. Will these goggles accommodate somebody wearing glasses? Thanks.
This not about beginner ...this about ability if someone can afford it is not a problem tu buy it....avata is a great drone.i think dji neo is for beginner covering the price and features they given
Let me guess, another controller/ control centre designed for right handed users... i find it difficult to love dji as much as others as im left handed, and they clearly show no interest in left handed people...
The auto roll/flip feature appears to be a useless gimmick. There's really no purpose to do those manuevers other than pretending to be a free styler...😂
I do't know, I am always happy every single time DJI release new products. Even though I cannot afford it. 🤣

Great review! I'm considering purchasing the Avata 2. I'm a lefty. Would you say that the RC Motion 3 would work for left-handed flying?
Finally an Avata i can relate to, more flying time and the extra features are really cool. i guess its time to sell the mini Pro 3 :)
Super !!!
Great video! does it look like the motion 3 could be used left handed?
Just ordered it with the flymore package. Before I just had an Air 2. Are you going to do a vid on the best lens filters to get for the immersive experience?
One question! I am left handed. Can the RC Motion Controller’s buttons all be easily used by a left hand? Tom

can you used the fpv controller for the avata 2?

Does it have to be wired to the fly app like the older one? That remote id bullsh**? or will it work without the phone?
Doesn’t have to be wired. You can preview via WiFi

Still hoping they update the original FPV one day.... The speed on that thing was insane for a consumer drone

Could you tell me what the dimensions and weight of the combo box with the 3 batteries are?
