Hi Josh, thanks for your vid. I have one more small addition for your protein shake. Instead of sunflowerseeds (or papitas), use hemp seed and/or ciaseed. Why? These two types of seeds contain the most protein, especially hemp seeds and a high dose of omega 3. Sunflower seeds mainly contain omega 6. The difference is that omega 3 inhibits inflammation in your body and helps build your body. Omega 6 causes inflammation, especially given the large amounts we consume (vegetable oils). Love from the Netherlands! ❤
I think he uses Omega-6 on purpose because we do need some of it and because he's prioritizing muscle gain. When you workout part of what happens in the muscle is an inflammatory response and that it how the muscle gets bigger. That being said this can be balanced by just cutting the sunflower seeds in half and using peanuts or chia seeds in the portion of sunflower seeds that you did not use.
Thanks Josh for the info and the patience you put into it to enlighten us for better understanding. I must admit that, since I have been watching your workout videos and the intake of protein, pre workout and post workout. these have impacted me a lot. I look good in my t shirt and lots of compliments from friends, girls and family. All this happens because of you. Thanks you and lots of blessings🙏
These are great, thank you for sharing! My only suggestion is to read the ingredients in the yogurts and almond milk. I see you're using the silk non dairy and great value almond milk. Neither of those are clean, meaning they have gums and oils in them. I only know because I'm a diabetic and have to read everything. Almond milk should just have almond and water, and there is a better (yet a bit more expensive) non dairy yogurt choice. I'm going to make the blueberry one this morning. ❤
I don’t remember where I read it (or if some nutritionist said it), but that you shouldn’t use almond, oat, etc milk in your smoothie cause it slows down the absorption of the protein, etc… also, you shouldn’t add any blueberry’s (or anything ending in “berry”) with a banana… the nutrients in the banana neutralize the antioxidant properties of the blueberries… that was from two nutritionists on AthlenX’s channel… thoughts?
THIS. VIDEO. RIGHT. HERE! I am very overweight and hubby & I are both having some major health issues. We want to eat healthier. I plan on getting a ninja creami when we get a house. I have been looking at all of the protein powders out there and let me tell you...some of them dont sound much better for you than the processed foods we eat! I want to make shakes but im highly allergic to sugar alcohols-anything that ends in tol. Im also allergic to hemp so thats out. And i dont do sucralose etc so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!
Thank you for the alternative to powder proteins. A tip for the pepitas (aka pumpkin seeds) is to soak them. They are easier to blend that way. Also, if you can get them, raw nuts are always best.
Thanks for these recipes! I’ve done the peanut butter banana one. Love it! Want more recipes. I haven’t been able to replace my previous protein powder. It’s not on the market anymore. This is a great option.
I love your content. You are talented and you are motivating everyone. I was going to buy a keto protein powder but l saw it had caseinate. Thank you for making everyone aware of these unhealthy ingredients in these protein powders.
Thank you i was looking for a more natural way to add protein to my diet because I'm not too fond of the taste of protein powder and it makes my stomach hurt. Great Video I will definitely try this!
I just made it, shit bussed and i'm not bloated! I actually like it better than my store bought protein shake or protein powder mix. Like i didn't even know oats had protein in it man. I feel so much better after drinking thissss thank u
I’m so glad someone is talking about this. Starting my health journey (physically, mentally and emotionally), one thing I really started to pay attention to is the ingredients in all of the foods that are in the grocery stores… and I wanted to bring in a higher protein intake in my daily life. Protein powders have so much in them that people aren’t aware of and I’ve sorted through what I could possibly try. I’ve only found 1 brand, a Canadian brand that don’t have all the bad ingredients in them. However, these shakes you’ve made look great to try out!
@@samatayosfitness6082 I usually look at the ingredient list on any protein powders and any food in general in the grocery stores. There are quite a bit of processed sweeteners and such.

What a great channel! You lay these videos out so simple and easy that I wonder why I ever bothered to buy protein shakes in the first place! Going to try this today!
I use unflavored protein because I noticed these “ingredients” as well. Now the only ingredient in my protein is 100% whey isolate. I only use protein powder in my smoothies anyways, so the lack of flavor is no problem.
Thank you! 😊 Do you have a 3000 cal per day meal regimen filled with nutrient densed foods or a guide to start? My goal is to increase protein without damaging the kidneys
Stick with the basics… Protein - eggs/egg whites, chicken, ground turkey, beef, fish, Greek yogurt Carbs - oatmeal, rice, potatoes Fats - nuts, avocado, meats, olive oil Add in your fruits and vegetables and you’re good to go. Drink plenty of water, and keep the bad fats and sugars low.
Great job chef muscle ! I will finish my fancy schmancy sweetner based protein isolate powder in the meanwhile order pb fit etc.. to switch. I just love the useful content you provide on this channel. Thanks
Some people say milk is good , some say it’s bad , I think it depends on the individual and if an individual can tolerate it or not , milk never gives me problems and I drink it all the time
If you like, you can mix all the dry ingredients together and store it in a container. When you want a smoothie, add yogurt, ice and fruit and you're ready to blend. Hope it works out if you decide to try it.
What are your thoughts about adding powdered/freeze-dried eggs to either one of those mixes? I'll opt for plain water over almond milk. Almond milk isn't exactly "almond" all the time. A lot of those plant-based "milks" have a lot of junk/chemicals in them as well.

They look great. Think I will combine both into one shake. I will leave out the seeds. Maybe a spoon of honey if it needs it. Probably wont need it with all the fruit in there. Thanks for sharing. Have never found a protein shake in a jug that didn’t make me feel bad after.

Never heard of it until your video. Gonna try some almond milk too. I tried oats in my protein drink before. Although good it was too gritty.
Good stuff, something I find useful is to use the frozen fruit alone, add no ice to get a richer flavor and it will be just as frothy and cold.
💚💚💚6:09 pepitas= pumpkin seeds, raw organic
7:04 PB Fit-I have to avoid erythritol so, I’ll add soaked walnuts.
