    A quick one.
    I’ve a MK6 Jetta. How do you flush your brake fluid as my car brake pedal stays hard even on a level ground due to hill hold assist system. Is there a work around for pedal method in this type of car? Or you have to use the pressure bleeder ?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @yourDIYneeds
      @yourDIYneeds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the gravity method is not effective then we can use the back-flush method for bleeding the air out of the system, some cars do have a bit of a hard pedal due to hill hold assist , but that's the Nature of some cars

    Thank you for posting this. My master cylinder is failing and this helps greatly. Question- when I go to bleed the system after install, do I also need to bleed the brakes, or will it be sufficient to just bleed the clutch?

    • @yourDIYneeds

    Thanks for the informative video. Does this needs to be replaced after specific period ? What if it breaks while traveling, can we still drive the car . I have a 10 year old polo and I am curious if I should replace it now or not, I don't have any issues with the clutch till now.

    • @yourDIYneeds
      @yourDIYneeds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir , ideally it should be replaced when you are overhauling the clutch , yes it can break , and same happened with me , but i was near to home so i just started the car in first gear and drove around 3 kms in 1st gear . As i didn't had clutch so i was not able to change gears and can't break as well

    • @saltybutsain6348
      @saltybutsain6348 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The car will be underivable other than short distances to park it somewhere else or put it on a trailer. You will not be able to disengage the clutch. As in, when you push the clutch pedal down, nothing will happen. So unless you can float gears you really only have first gear, and will need to turn the car off to stop.

      @@yourDIYneeds - If the connecting rod would have been of steel then this could have been avoided I believe . But it seems most of the manufactures use only the plastic connector rod . Heard few people were able to replace the plastic connecting rod with a steel one , but sure if its worthy to repair it.

      Aap ek bar pehle next oil change pe engine flush use kijiye , modern cars ki rings low pressure hoti hai , and carbon deposits ki wajeh se wo stuck ho jati hai kabhi kabhi , jiski wajeh se oil consumption and blowby dono increase ho jate hai , ek bar next oil change pe ek acha flush for 10 mins and fir oil consumption note kijiye , most probably oil consumption or blowby dono hi kam ho jaege and engine bhi thoda sa smooth ho jaega , pehle ki cars me rings high pressure hoti thi islea ye problem nahi hoti thi , but ab fuel economy increase karne ke lie low pressure rings use hoti hai

      @yourDIYneeds  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sir , my age aside, if you had seen the video properly then you would have realised , that getting the master cylinder out without pulling the pedal out first is not possible , and you don't need to be a VW tech to realise that , you just need to have a bit of common sense that , if the mounting bracket of master cylinder is bigger than the hole of firewall then its not going to come out from that side , so pulling the pedal out first is the only other option.
