I recently purchased the SBGA429 "Shadow," and like you it's my first GS. But, I'm very quickly going down the GS rabbit hole, with an SBGE253 ordered. The "Shadow" looks like a dark grayish-brown to my eye in most indoor lighting conditions, but these dials absolutely pop when hit with sunlight (they look great under a 10x loupe too!) I also own many larger watches (7") wrist, but I love this 39mm. I tried on the 41mm "Snowflake" at the AD, and it didn't appear decidedly larger, but its proportions didn't look as good as the 39mm SoKo watches (I tried the "Light" watch too.) For the style these watches are, I'd say 39-40mm is the perfect "sweet spot." Congrats on your GS!

Thanks so much for your comment ! My dilemma was do I go for 40 and up or do I try this 39. I have a fairly small wrist at 6.5 inc however I love larger dials. I was going for the 41 mm Snowflake which would be my sweet spot but could not find it at the time so I settled for this one. I’ve grown to like it more and more now and I’m glad you shared your experience with the Snowflake !! This makes me feel better :) congrats on both of your GS ! Thanks for watching and hopefully subbing !
