Simon, I love you for making this video! I went in to try and change a fuse behind there, and broke that contraption completely. My service advisor wasn't thrilled but they did cover it under warranty.
Glad it helped ! if a little too late !
Big thanks for the video all the way from sunny southern California!
I've mentioned this before, your videos are great! I'm a licensed tech, and your way of explaining things is wonderful. The Defenders with the steering wheel on the proper side, (LH) :) , are slightly harder, as the damper is against the center console. You have to feel for it, as you can't really see it.
Well done, thank you. One less cost at the dealership!
An excellent video, for all of us that DIY our vehicle needs. Thanks 👍🏻
Thank you for posting this - its something long overdue for a fresh filter
Lovely job Simon 👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️👋👋👋
Thanks Jimmy !
Was asleep.... Great information!
As always a jolly good show 👍
Simon, can you look into whether the hepa grade filters from the range rover can be used?
Also can you see if the air quality sensor is available on your defender? I have a feeling the hardware is present in all defenders but is deactivated through car config.
Beware, some disassembly will be required but will definitely make great content. Best, jb
Thanks for the heads up on this - we are looking into this now ! we have one on order
Yes, theres an entirely separate display functjon with car equipped from the factory with the air quality sensor. It displays pollution levels outside/inside the vehicle. Do let me know of the hepa filter tho and the parts differences so fhat i can outfit mine with hepa
Any update simon? Would like to have hepa as my city is engulfed in forest fire smoke
@@Jb008 Will do this on monday !
Are there any after market filters available?
Great video. Thanks! How often does this need to be changed? Once a year?
Yes that would be suficient
My theory is that the “ok” disappears due to dirt build-up in the filter, thereby meaning it’s no longer ok and needs changing. However, it’s only a theory. LR dealership put a new one in my Disco 5 recently as a standard part of its first (2 year) service. No doubt it’s a standard part of the service routine every time.
I think you are correct - but if this is the case it has a double function !
Is it carbon in the filter or charcoal? Nice video!
Is charcoal not made from carbon ?
❤❤🙏🙏
Good morning Mr Virdi - I hope you enjoy the lovely weather this bank holiday !
Three years before changing the Pollen Filter..... crickey!!! 🤢🤢🤢
In my defence it’s only done 11k miles
