  • This Hellhound Ultratech from Microtech features a unique tanto blade profile with a black DLC finish and a black aluminum handle. The blade is made from Bohler M390 steel with black flats and black grinds. Comes equipped with tactical black hardware, pocket clip, thumb slide, and glass breaker.
Microtech has updated the venerable Ultratech knife. While the dimensions and action remain the same as the previous model, this latest version features beveled edges, a modified thumb slide and tri-angle hardware. The end result is an impressive Ultratech that improves upon what has become the must-have OTF automatic.

    Happy Belated Birthday Mom!
I hope things are going in a positive direction for her, and you and yours are finding some peace with everything, despite the circumstances.
We are closest during these times and the Love is at its strongest.
I don't have any ultratechs, but appreciate the various designs they've come up with.
The appear well executed regardless of theme.
I can't carry them in my state, so they're not on my radar, but like seeing them.

Glad ya got one... I gave up on trying to find the Hellhound and bought a clone for a few dollars. Now the luster has worn off for me and I doubt I would get one if they came back in stock.
Still a sweet knife so thanks for showing

I do really like looking at Microtechs. The price and the legality here are what holds me back from owning one. It would be fun to figit with yet frustrating that I could not carry it. I have a sub 2 inch Rogue from M3 Tactical which I can carry and that's good enough for me. Have a great time with your family!

Thank you Ken. I know exactly what you mean. The price isn't low to snag one of them. I love M3 Tactical.

      Hey Ken, I hope all's well👊
As former Federal LE, where I was a CRG Operator/Team Leader, along with just over 2 years in undercover, where I was involved in three altercations with knives/Punch Daggers, all in undercover situations, and though I walked away from all three fairly unscathed, I can assure you that a "real" knife/blade fight, is anything but "fun." For 99%+ of the individuals out there, who have never had remotely the level of training and "Live Simulation" sparring(today it's called "Force on Force") with both "soft" & "hard" trainers, needed to effectively wield a knife against a competent adversary/attacker, a knife fight in all likelihood would be a nightmare and hell in earth. It would be anything but "fun," even if one is fortunate enough to come out on top
As a former Krav Maga and CQB Sr. Instructor, where I only worked with LE, I'd say only 15-18% of my students were competent enough with a knife to the point that I'd want them at my 6 in a multi-attacker knife fight. I currently teach basic self-defense classes and only work with Punch/T-Daggers with my students, as a small1.5"-2.75, 3" TOPS) Punch Dagger can fit into a fist(between 1st/2nd proximal knuckles) that most have been making since they were infants, throwing a tantrum for either attention or more food, and one doesn't have to think at all to throw a punch.
I carry 6 fixed blades/Punch Daggers on my person daily as my self defense blades, have a bunch of Microtech OTF's and though I do carry either a Troodon D/E or the Ultratech Hellhound as my EDC, neither would be my self defense knife(I own two bars and also have a CCP) if I ever had to deploy a knife as a civilian. Depending on the situation, I would either deploy a Punch Dagger or one of my fixed blades(a Winkler SD2/3.2" blade & AMTAC Northman Proto/3.5" blade), never a folder/OTF auto.
This is just based on experience as I was just lucky in my first encounter as the assailant was smaller than me and I was able to gain enough separation(4-5") to draw a dagger that if he were my size(6'2", 223lbs), I'd never have been able to get to any of them, so I adjusted my carry positions and had two blades modified, as Cold Steel provided our blades and did our knife customizations.
Anyhoo, apologies for the novella, lol
      Excellent video Scott🤙!!
Great advice on the areas/situations that the Ultratech, or ANY OTF would not be a prudent choice!! I have 6 Ultratechs, with the hellhound being my fave and that blade is a BEAST, though as Scott stated, you don't want to have this type of knife(OTF) in any environment where dust, dirt, debris can get inside of that handle!!
      Very Nicely done Brotha👊
      Stay Safe & Continued Success🍻

Only one I'd buy is the Microtech Signature Series Glykon! That one is sweet!! These knives are cool but not $300-$400 cool especially if they don't puncture anything and come off track. The cheap $50 ones do that.

Are these knifes legal in California?

    • @danielhenderson8316
      @danielhenderson8316 ปีที่แล้ว

The blade has to be under 2 inches, but automatics and switchblades are legal in Cali. You will have to look up CA Legal Automatics, but a lot of the knife makers have something that's legal.
