Signature series is kind of like the midtech. Mostly production but with some options not available in just the production models. So it goes production, signature, then Marfione Custom. Great score on the CT. I may or may not have 1 or 12 Microtechs 🙂

I wanted the Signature Series Combat Troodon with the hellhound blade in carbon fiber, but couldn’t find one ANYWHERE (that would ship one to me in Washington State anyway) so I had to settle for the regular Troodon Signature Series Hellhound in carbon fiber. I LOVE IT!! It’s SO sinister looking!!
Great review MC. I just purchased the black Troodon with the black D/E dagger (can't do the Hellhound blade. It's just not me) and I am so happy with it. It's ridiculously huge and murdery, but doggone it, it's freaking awesome. I will use it for basic EDC stuff, but feel like John Wick doing it. You just can't put a price tag on that kind of child-like joy.

I wouldn’t worry too much about bending the pocket clip. I’ve been carrying one for 2 years and have yet to bend the clip. Mine has some nicks but definitely not bent.
I have a combat troodon..od green handle tanto edge,black hardware and blade accents...it is amazing! I came so close to getting this model but wasnt sure about the steel(that's just nitpicking)
I watched a guy drive one through a 2x6 like a nail one time with a composite hammer! It didn't break but the hammer did! Lol! If I ever get an OTF it'll be one of those!

No. If I am going to carry that big of a knife I will just carry a microtech socom elite manual version. You can buy 2 of those for the price of the microtech combat troodon. The socom elite are 2 times as durable.

I’d like to know more info on the Hellhound blade and it’s relevance to the Signature series line. I have a Troodon Hellhound 619-10CF Carbon Fiber Top Signature Series on the way. The Hellhound blade with carbon fiber top handle is a bada** combo! The Troodon is perfect EDC for me.
Nice review. I had a basic Combat Troodon and I didn't like it. I like to carry my knives and it was just too big for my pockets. However I just bought the custom Star Wars "Beskar" version since I think it will sell for a mint after the new Star Wars show comes out :-)

You will always have a little blade play due to the carriage and spring system. However this is not "bad" blade play, meaning it's a product of the design. It does not affect functionality one bit. It's locked and ready to rock. Also, please for the love of god folks, do not buy a budget version OTF and think it will do the same thing as the Microtech will. Easiest way to put it, which would come out better, a tank crashing in to a concrete wall or a ford festiva crashing in to a concrete wall. By the way, Microtech is the tank🤣

Gotta say on part of Microtech, the whole clone market would frustrate the hell outta me. I got burned one time on a clone Infidel before I knew about those things. Immediately bought my first combat troodon this same model actually in M390! Made in the good old US of A❤️
I carry the d/e half serrated version of the combat toodon and i can tell you if ot had to be drawn in a defense situation i wouldn't want to be on the receiving end. Its combat as in large defense knife your not going to be out there sawing bone and stabbing through plate carriers

You can use a drill chuck to remove the glass breaker just put a thin cloth on the glass breaker before you do
Hi, do you know the specs for a Combat Troodon spring? That is length, wire diameter etc.

I had a stonewashed single edge plain Scarab Executive and it was perfect. I also so stupidly sold it! Regret to this day.
