1. Join a faction and build relations with all the lords
2. Release every general instead of capturing them
3. Buy a business in as many cities as possible for steady income
3. Wait until you have a city + a castle(awarded to you by the leader), trade your castle with another lord for a castle closest to your city
4. Build relations in all of the villages near your city and castle to 50 also build the relations in your city to 20 (cheap food)
5. Stack at least 1k troops in your city and around 400 in your castle (they don't all have to be top tier units)
6. Make sure you have a noble companion with high persuasion (I use Lezalit since he starts with 4 training at lvl 1)
If you follow these steps you should have very high honor which will increase your relations with many lords with certain temperaments. Higher the honor higher the relation (especially lords you release). If you decide to loot pick two or three go-to villages that you go to so you will not lose relations with many lords. Also if you can persuade your king and lords to make you a marshall you can get huge relation gains by giving lords troops.
I play Floris-evolved so if you use that mod you can buy land in cities. You should buy at least 20 acres in most cities.
Doing all of the above will make it extremely easy for you to get Lords to join your faction when you decide to betray your king and start with a decent amount of land and villages while maintaining income.

it is extremely important for you to have high relation with villages
for example in my new run I have a village with 81 relation, not only can I recruit very often from this village, they also sell up to 38 recruits AT ONCE to me
with this you are able to provide your army with a stable soldier influx
higher relation also gives you the chance to sometimes recruit higher tier units instead of simple recruits

I'm playing through as a female character for a change, and I've only been given a couple of castles and a heap of villages, but no cities. How does one obtain a city?
I'm perhaps the most competent lord in my faction (Rhodoks), yet Graveth seems to keep all the cities for himself. I'm on day 280-ish, we've taken all of the Swadian cities, Curaw and Shariz, and Reyvadin keeps switching hands.
I really like that the guy u fought " Emir Ghanawa" in my game was a count for swadia and I had him removed of all his fiefs and property and then he became a Jarl for the Nords and also got removed of his place and fiefs and he is now looking for shelther with the kherghits. I love how that guy keeps getting kicked out and keeps trying to come back

The best play is to become Marshall of a kingdom and wipe out one nation at a time leaving nobody in the garrisons and when you've taken over a good portion of the map, start your kingdom and retake all the towns and castles you left with no garrisons
Also you can keep all the fiefs given to you by a king if you keep requesting to be given castles/towns you take over he will eventually deny your request. When this happens you get a message and the option to object to his decision. If you object you can start your kingdom with all the land you already owned
Started with 30 rtr and I’m currently doing fine with 8-10 lords on my side so it’s not hard to do below 50 rtr. I usually begin my kingdom around 30 rtr which is what I’d recommend if you know what your doing

AristotleXraven bro, Huscarls are op as fuck, if I even see one get wounded I worry, I legitimately took on 384 soldiers with 93 soldiers, but most of them were Huscarls and Swadian Knights, most armies are fluffed up by recruits, so if you have well equipped and trained soldiers you can win any battle

No matter if I killed at least 40 enemies before one of my mamluks die, I always feel like I lost the battle.
Seeing a strand of red saying "nord huscarl killed by Sarranid Skirmisher" a part of a whole column of blue just makes me depressed, despite us winning.
Remember playing this game on accident on my cousin's PS4 for the first time.
After that, I just got straight-up cocaine addicted to this game, despite it having the same graphics as a horse's manure, I still loved it to bits for its variety of choices, depth into morale and care for your troops, alliance and friends system, etc.

Usually I would use huscarls in a siege instead of the knights. Knights are better in open warfare but huscarls are better at siege warfare

It's actually very easy :
- Join Swadia as a mercenary.
- Train as many knights as possible, gain incomes by ambushing ennemy caravans and pillaging villages.
- Leave Swadia as soon as you have a decent army (at least 60 - 80 knights).
- Wait for a huge city to be captured, even better if this city is taken by the Khergits.
- Then declare war to the new owners of the city and attack its small garnison to take it.
- An army of around 500 - 700 men will besiege your city. Do not panick, wait for them to launch the attack and wait for them at the ladder with all your knights. Victory should be taken easily.
- Now you have steady incomes to raise an even bigger army in Swadian villages.
I like to play this game like littlefinger jumping from kingdom to kingdom causing shit to make them nice and weak for me to swoop in and take the throne. "I'm not going to fight them, I'm going to fuck them"

sign on as merc then start a war with all factions... dont renew contract then join another and keep getting them involved with fighting everybody.

You either win or it won't be your problem anymore.
Even better way is just to build up your way in a certain faction, get cities/castles etc. and become a marshal or simply ask someone to raid with you. Get a city/castle, and ask it to be your reward. Then, just wait until a king declares that city/castle to someone else, and don't accept it, renounce oath to him, and all the fiefs you previously had in that faction, will be the fiefs of your kingdom.

I accidentally made my own kingdom once.
My mercenary contract expired while I was sieging a fortess, then I accidentally clicked on lead an assault instead of abandon siege, I didn't want to be a prisioner, so I just went with it.
Then I had a kingdom. Before even a single war ended.
Couldn't I just take all the troops from my town, leave the faction, siege the empty town, and then put them back?

No matter how many times I beat the vanilla version of this game I always come back to your videos to refresh my memory on playing this game before I start a new campaign to take over the world.
I once accidentally conquered ninety percent of the map for the nords. Still wound up slaughtering them.
GODZILLADRAGON111 I almost did the same with the Rhodoks. Had 2 factions with half their territory left then said fuck it and rebelled. That campaign alone probably took 150-200 hours for me because it was a back and forth fight late game.

I normally go for a more direct approach when dealing with the ranged units at the sides of the castle: I go up the siege tower, sneak past the melee fight as my men distract the enemies, and then run up to the archers and knock them all unconscious with one of those giant wooden sledgehammers. >:D
By the time that I actually start attacking castles, I make sure to get the best armour possible, so I am pretty safe when I take out those archers on my own.
One time I was riding by a castle which happens to be under seige by Harlus and when he battle me I saw that he had 120 swadian knights, I played Sabaton and accepted my fate
I would suggest to attack the Khergits first. Unuzdaq castle is a great place to take and easy to defend. The Khergits are the weakest infantry. Use Rhodok Seargeants. But before all that:
-Get good relation with the Rhodoks or the Swadian Lords
-Have atleast 30 Rhodok Sergeants and Sharpshooters.
-20000 gold
-Make sure the Khergits are in war(maybe even help the Rhodoks start one)
-Have around 20 right to rule and send Heroes to spread your word
-Prepare a Hero to be an be your ambassador.
After taking Unuzdaq Castle:
-If youre feeling lucky or brave, try taking Halmar
-Wait until you get a peace agreement from Khergits(to get right to rule)
-Defend the castle meanwhile.
-After peace, build up your army and defense, prepare for anything.
One more tip: Dont give castles to anyone right away,lords will only join you if you have free fiefs.
Dont make your Heroes into lords right away.
The reason why Rhodok troops are good is that they are defense beasts, cheap and easy to train. It is smart that you get 50+ relation with a Rhodok village. That way you will get a lot of troops!

Even though this is old I’d like to note something with the “join a faction and wait to acquire land and good relations” generally you shouldn’t wait too long, I’d recommend 1 city two castles that are easily defendable, the longer you wait to more powerful the faction you’re a part of becomes, and you’re going to immediately be at war with them, so you don’t want them too strong to instantly pwn you
I bought enterprises in every city on the map, built Ahmerrad up to very rich through trade and then took it with 60 nord huscarls and 30 rhodok sharpshooters. Immediately after taking the city Sarranids sent me a truce.
xBeau loves to promote Swadian knights as the end all be all unit that can do everything but that's not quite true. Swadian knights are a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, an army of 30-50 of them can mulch through just about anything you might come across with minimal casualties on your end (except for King Graveth with his 600 man army of pointy sticks and crossbows). Despite this they are for some odd reason almost incapable of killing huscarls. They can only really kill them with a couched lance or a similar momentum strike. One huscarl killed 5 knights before I had to go in personally and kill him. In a siege knights are mediocre, their horses are useless and their shields are puny. They'll often run up the ladder or siege tower with a great sword out and get pincushioned by even really low tier ranged units with relative ease. For sieges I strongly recommend crossbows (rhodoks are far superior but swadians will do fine) and really any heavy infantry that isn't sarranid or vaegir guards. You can take the fortress by having the heavy infantry stand close to the walls with the crossbows slightly behind, have everyone packed tightly, and let the infantry soak up the ranged damage while the crossbowmen mow down the wall defenders. Once the crossbowmen run out of ammo you retreat unless you believe the defenders are weak enough to take with the infantry.
Hello which heavy infantry is the best Swadian Sergeants, Huscarls or hired blades.
1606 Animations huscarls, absolutely no debate. There’s a reason they’re almost impossible to get. I’m also a fan of the Rhodok sergeant which is much easier to get and has a better shield but can’t even dream of competing with the monstrous damage output of the huscarls. Swadian sergeants are very well rounded and are basically dismounted knights with heater shields and half the upkeep. They’re a practical unit that I can’t really say much good or bad about. Huscarls will mulch them though. And hired blades are honestly kinda shit. I mean they’re a good unit but Given their price tag and them being the top tier of the farmer/merc tree it’s kind of underwhelming. If you want reliable and affordable infantry use Vaegir Infantry, Vaegir Guards often stupidly hold out their two-handed weapon instead of a shield which makes them a great melee unit but they die quickly to ranged units.
One great tip is that if your starting position is not great press shift or retreat then press charge the enemy this should change the map unless your playing on a mod which even then should still work.
Are you using any graphics mods? Looks nicer than mine and I have it pretty much maxed out.
ik iam late sorry bro but you are using direct X 7 to have graphics like him you should use direct X 9 how to use it? well follow the steps bellow
1:open the launcher
2: click configure
3:select video
4: on the first line u will see Direct X 7 click it and choose Direct X 9 and it will work :)
Is there no way around losing your town castles and fiefs when you ask to be released from your oath?
Kal L when you go to be released, take all the troops you can with you from the castle you want to take, empty it out the rest of the way. then get released and go retake that castle
If you take a castle/town you can request that it gets rewarded to you, if your king denies you of the fief, you can stage a rebellion and keep your towns/castles, I think.

Don't nerf centurion The only way to stage a rebellion from memory is to take a castle or city, and then request it to be yours, if the king ignores your request and hands it to another lord you will have two options, suck it up or stage a rebellion.
@@zenweeb8506 Oof I had left the Khergits as a vassal and found the Vaegir claimant and joined him, took a castle left the claimants rebellion but the castle was still mine, but I am still known as a Vaegir Rebels, is that normal or should I have been able to name my own kingdom and stuff?
Lol. On ny first "Campaign" i first started my kingdom in wercheg. Just for its defensive position on the map. I went throug some pretty hard sieges but the main army was busy with the vaegirs. Then i got proposed peace. I gladly accepted. Then i built my huge army of swadian knights and named matheld a vassal. The nords decleared war on me again but i recked them. Took all theyre land and was really powerfull then.
That sounds awesome I just got a castle in the nords area but I'm worried because in my game the nords have 2/3 of all of caladria

I kinda waited until I had around 200-300 soldiers so I could garrison some when i capture the castle. Also my right to rule was at 42, kinda fought a bunch of wars and got some missions from guild masters to make peace. Made life easy.

I recommend only using ranged weapons when your in first person.
By the time I decided I wanted to start my own faction, I had already grown fairly powerful in the Kingdom of Nords with Wercheg, two castles, and four fiefs. One thing you can do if you find yourself in a similar situation is take out your entire garrison from a city or castle you still want to have when you leave your faction. As soon as I broke my oath to King Ragnar, I marched up to Wercheg and took it back. I also disbanded all the men from the castles I owned, making it easy for the Nords' enemies to attack. Got lucky with lords and landed myself with a couple of 150 man parties from the start, taking Rivacheg. If you take time to plan everything, you can have a couple cities within a few days of starting your faction.

+Pakos Zver Because you swore a vow to Swadia. You'll get the castle for yourself and start a fraction if you are a Freelancer. If you'll get a flief, you can find your king and leave fraction with flief, and start a war (No sure about native, but ACOK did let you do that)

Question I married lord velesin he started out as a vassle of Vager kingdom I asked him if he would consider me for marriage I broke him out of prison and that when we got married in game sinc then he has left Vager kingdom and been moving around left and right his renowned never goes up meanwhile i have 1100 renown with control of 8 castles 6 towns and 6 to 8 vilages I'd say just over 20 and the king wants to give me another village and maybe the castle I just took solo by siege I'm battling with my army of 70 to 100 fighting the kings and big army's of 200 to 350 I took out the king of Rhodock today killed his 350 men and captured then and maybe lost 20 troops at most im kicking ass im guessing there is no wat to leave your husband or wife in the game.
Playing Warband on console rn first time i tried to raid a village i almost got jumped by a whole army of 780 or 680 cause they were raiding a enemy vilkage nearby and instantly started coming to me i got away but ive never been scared like that since playing horror games might get bannerlord soon

1. I disengage from my faction (Sarranid) and then went to attack a couple of castles that I had scoped out. However, when I get there the game doesn't give me the option to beseige the castle. What do I do?
2. How do you dump all of your cavalry and use crossbowmen and infantry to attack the castle then retrieve the cavalry?
3. Instead of a castle why not attack a poorly defended town? My thought was to reduce the garrison size of my town, relinquish my vassalage, and then attack the town. Of of course I could just as well do that with a castle I have.

When i started my faction I had a army of like 80 bit it was all really elite troops i had like 40 huscarls 25 Vagier marksman and the rest swadian knights
I had 75 with about 25 Rhodoks Sergeants & I captured my 1st castle from Swadia. Ended left with about 47 troops after killing 119. It was difficult to recruit after that but my castle was attacked at all

Lol did we all joint them swadian and a good tip is to keep taking castles and requesting them be given to you after a while the king can no longer do that and that enables you to revolt and keep your castles

Hi ! I'm in Swadia faction since the beginning of the game, and we conquered a lot... Vaegirs and Khergits are done. I have some fiefs i dont want to loose but i want to manage my own kingdom.
I'd like to break my oath with king Harlaus, but he wants to take back my fiefs :) it's been a very long time i hope he will refuse to give me castle i attack lonely, in order to quit, but it never happens (or i can just say "ok, whatever, thats not a problem, man" - do i have too much renown ?
How can i handle it ?

Yes if you are in a faction you can attack farmers or villages of another faction that will mean that your faction will go to war with that faction, keep in mind that your lord will be pissed

hi dude im with saranide sultanate if i get released from my oath will i lose veluca ,some vilages and 3 castles with the garrisons ? cuz in all of them i have strong soldiers elite most of them .. ? we as a faction posess 60 % of the map rhodoks and khergit have only 1 castle ..and another question how can i provoke war if there is border incident pls .. +Daniel Risteski Yep, you'll lose it all. I would recommend waiting until a faction is at war with 3 factions at a time (if possible), pull all of your troops out of every town or make sure to degarrison all of the troops possible. Then tell the sultun to kiss your balls and you're bouncing. Go and take one of the castles from the faction who is at war with 3 factions. When you take that castle, it's pretty easy to get the at war faction to give you peace since they can't deal with 4 factions at the same time. Boom, you're all started. Dump your army into the castle you took and just turtle for a while until you get a peace agreement.
my faction is now at war with 3 other and how can i pull all my troops from the castles and the town when i can only have 135 troops with me and i have in veluca more than 200 and the other 3 castles around 3x100 troops.. how can i take them all and not leaving the troops in the castles ... maybe im asking too much but i prefer playing without help of youtube and im playing realistic everything saves .. i dont want to get myself - 250h playing :D
+Daniel Risteski Go to manage garrison in your town menu, move troops from garrison to your active army. Id take all the best troops you can. Exactly, make sure those castles are totally empty, but I would suggest going after a different faction than the sarrinad so you dont piss off too many nobles in that faction.
If you war against the Nords and have low tier troops your going to have a bad time. If you recruit nord recruits and make them top tier infantry you will siege castles and cities with ease! If you have to war with everybody like crazy get hired blades and top tier horse troopers. A good mix of archers and sword based riders is pretty effective. USE TRAINING GROUNDS with a few points in trainer and it works like this if you have 36 troops of the same type (just nord recruits for example) spar with 1-2 recruits over and over and you will give all 36 troops max XP then spar til you get them promotable to the next tier and repeat to get a great amount of heavy shock troops early on or later to help you in whichever endeavors you choose. If you are tight on denars (money) and don’t want to lose any honor. Put a few points into prisoners in the stats go to a store buy a Club and attack bandits of all sorts and when they are knocked unconscious after the battle you can capture them. And if you decide to start your own kingdom early good luck to you and you better have good stats in leadership and siege because when you take your first castle you will be hit hard and For the Love of God take a CITY first so you can get more money and don’t spread out to far without putting at least 400 troops in a castle or 1000 in a city to be safe. Pick an isolated city like wencheg so you can’t be attacked from the back or praven for example so you only really get attacked by one kingdom at a time. Happy hunting. It is a LONG fucking game. So how do you strike out on your own? You need enough right to rule? Because i tried it... and yeah i couldn't invade anyone. Maybe i missed something in an earlier video.

+EQOAnostalgia its not your right to rule that was the problem, you have to have a negative relation to one of the kingdoms to attack their fortresses.

Legions of hundreds fall to my 30 Swadian knights. Take housecarls and sharpshooters to siege assaults though. But seriously 30-40 Swadian Knights is all you need for open battles. No matter how out numbered you are. They clean house. Unless maybe you're fighting against legions of other Swadian knights....
Mount and Blade - Warband is on sale this xmas so better post more videos more people bought it including me , i don't know how i haven't heard of this game before , it's a masterpiece .
