im guessing fanalab was done away with? mine opens to the tray icon but it wont open past that. i can open assetto by right clicking on the tray icon but thats it

How do I know if telemetry is enabled and working or not??? No indication shown in Fanalab - nothing changes when I click the "Enable Telemetry" button so I have NO IDEA if it is working or not!! (trying to get working with ACC on Formula V2, Clubsport V3 and 2.5 wheelbase)

I have just 1 question is this only for the newer Fanatec products?. i have a clubsport ps4 elite base and f1 esport wheel> it dosen't look like this video.
I downloaded 1.24 and I have the same issue as I had with1.23. With no game running and wheel either on or off, just the splash screen appears and then crash. Just been working through the W10 Troubleshooter and starting Fanalab in every compatability mode and with Admin rights. But no difference. There doesn't appear to be a log file which records what happens. Perhaps that would be useful in the next iteration? And haven't found online pdf manual??
So went back to fanatec download page and noticed I was downloading the driver again, even though I was in the fanalab section. Now downloaded the beta. Thank you.
Es wäre noch toll wenn man bei den Profilen in FanaLab nachträglich die Setposition ändern könnte. So könnte man Profilen die man für die PS4 verwenden möchte auf ein hinteren Set Platz stellen z.B. 5 die dann nicht immer durch andere überschrieben werden wenn man verschiedene Profile lädt.
Das kann man bereits. Einfach ein anderes setup laden, die Tuning Menü settings wieder so einstellen wie man es gern hätte und dann das vorhandene Profil einfach überschreiben. So kann man in sekundenschnelle das Set von 1 auf 5 wechseln. Alternativ die pws Datei im AppData Pfad öffnen und dort manuell das Set ändern.

Dieser Weg ist doch Sinnlos, da erstellt man doch gleich ein neues Profil auf Set 5. Den Weg mit dem manuellen editieren des Profiles gehe ich jetzt und funktioniert auch aber die Software wäre ja eigentlich dazu da, einem den Workflow zu erleichtern und da FanaLab noch Beta ist sollte man doch solche Feinheiten miteinbeziehen. Es kann doch nicht so schwierig sein ein Schalter zu implementieren wo man die Sets neu zuweisen kann.
Can we please have the option to kill the ffb with the E Stop? I never really thought it would be a useful feature until I got tangled up in a race with another Ai recently. I was trying to get out of the mess and back on track but the Ai was practically dragging me. That caused my wheel to turn wildly and it almost broke my hand. I couldn’t grab a hold of it. I really didn’t want to end the race but I had to. It would have been nice to be able to cut all ffb and do what I needed to get out of the entanglement.
That's already possible since a few months with a recent firmware. By pressing the power button for a short time of under 1 sec the FFB will be disabled. Pressing it again re-enables the FFB again.
@@OhItsThat but that's not possible and won't come because the electrical design is designed differently. Only way to kill FFB only is to press the power button. The red E-Stop button will always kill the power.
@@OhItsThat On recent beta firmwares it only requires a single tap. If you hold down the button you will turn off the base entirely. I recommend that you mount the Killswitch within arm's reach so that it is easier to use this feature.
DomB_Fanatec I keep it down by my leg so I can hit with my leg and not my injured hands.....in theory....If the wheels going nuts I don’t wanna stick my face into it reaching down to find the little power button to kill the ffb. I was just hoping it could be added to the big red button like other dd wheels on the market. If it can’t it can’t.
@@Jahovan1887 that's because you have installed FanaLab and the driver to different locations. You have to install both at their default install patch at Drive C. Only then FanaLab will find the driver
@@DomB_Fanatec it's not I downloaded and can only get Drive 347 to work on my system.That drivert doesn't' support Fanalab latest version. I contacted support and they said maybe in the future some people get it to work some don't that's why its a beta driver.

Got it! I was hoping it would give me new options to solve the harsh rumbles I experience in ACC, specifically when I go over rumble strips. It's just so damn loud, and currently the only way to dial it down is to drop FEI down bellow 50, which dulls the FFB so much I lose speed. The problem originates from the sim, I know, but there's no way Kunos is going to fix it.
Sure wish Fanatec would support the CSR wheel with Fanalab. They could easily do it bit gave up on the wheel and the customers who supported them when they weren't a household name.

Only six months too late to matter. Bought a simucube, sold my DD2, and couldn't be happier. If you want to keep your customers I suggest treating them like you VALUE them. Taking money way in advance of delivery, skipped (self imposed) deadlines, etc... Your products are good, but your customer service and tact is terrible. It's a damn shame too, the community would really benefit from you all getting your act together.

And we certainly didn't want to delay the Podium launch for FanaLab - the Tuning Menu features meant that additional software tuning was deemed to be not essential for the direct drive systems to launch. FanaLab has a long development roadmap ahead. 'Taking money way in advance of delivery' - this is not a forced requirement. Podium bases are currently in stock in all regions. 'Skipped deadlines' - launch dates are always an estimate and can slip for many different reasons. It's not something we take lightly. As compensation for the lengthy delay of the Podium launch, we provided our pre-order customers a limited edition steering wheel or webshop voucher. 'Bad customer service' - without specific examples it's difficult to comment on that (and if it involves a particular case it's not appropriate to detail on TH-cam). The support infrastructure is improving all the time.

I really do wish you the best, but it is very frustrating when you say things like “Fanalab launches by the end of May” and then skip that deadline without any sort of notice whatsoever. It does not speak to your regard for your customer base. This market is blowing up. Up your support game and I’d fully expect you to have a firm grip on the sim hardware space. But you have to do it in advance, not after the fact damage control. TH-cam comments are not a great place to win favor. Demonstrate care for you customers, shake the bad rep you have on warranty repairs and you will own the sim world.
This can be done using JoyToKey. I suggest that anyone who wants this feature integrated into FanaLab should write their feedback in the FanaLab thread on the Fanatec forum.
Maybe it's just me but... I want the real feel of for example a gt3 car. But messing with all these settings gives me what I want to feel that however is not what a real gt3 car feels like. A real gt3 driver doesn't have these options it drives like it drives so who will Set up the correct steering feeling for ex gt3 car? I can fiddle around all I want I will never now....

You will never be able to feel the exact replica of any type of car. The overall goal here is to have a feeling through the wheel which is believable. The task is generally up to the game to produce the realistic output and pass that output to the wheel. The quality of the wheel determines how good you get that feeling. So these wheel settings are generally there for you to adjust it to your liking.
I use fanleds and wheel drivers When I installed fanalab it turned my wheel into a spinning helicopter wrist breaking death machine so I had to uninstall lol
@@DomB_Fanatec Thanks, but since beta 1.12 rotary dials (McLaren GT3) are no longer working in ACC. They're detected and working in the ACC setup menu, but as you step into the car they don't work!
When I went to run it, if I remember correctly it said I need the driver. But I had use the driver on the site annnnnd went to the forums for the latest driver I believe. But after restarting the computer it kept saying something about the driver.
Well looks like the reviewers had no idea how to use this or what it did especially the speed sensitivity part they were so worried about adding dampening when in relaity its when it adds dampening to the degree of the wheel so that means lutting it higher doesnt mesn your getting more dampening lol
The failure of a good software and steering wheels to support the podium series has killed every interest in the product for consumers because simucube offers a better package and its taking fanatec too long to resolve the issue. Sometimes I feel they regret building a podium series
Mixed Reality Sim Racing I have a few people in my team who sold their DD2 to purchase a simucube because the forces they use keep breaking the steering wheels available by fanatec. Further more they all acknowledge the software available does not improve the feel as fanatec claims.I tried this for myself and to me the DD2 felt like a 10% improvement in feeling and 50% improvement in strength in comparison to the club sport v2.5. I believe the software is yet to bring out the potential here unlike simucube

Buttkickers are your best friends. One on the pedal box & one on the seat.

Shifter is not shown in the Lab because you can not adjust anything for the Shifter

Maybe it's just me but... I want the real feel of for example a gt3 car. But messing with all these settings gives me what I want to feel that however is not what a real gt3 car feels like. A real gt3 driver doesn't have these options it drives like it drives so who will Set up the correct steering feeling for ex gt3 car? I can fiddle around all I want I will never now....
You will never be able to feel the exact replica of any type of car. The overall goal here is to have a feeling through the wheel which is believable. The task is generally up to the game to produce the realistic output and pass that output to the wheel. The quality of the wheel determines how good you get that feeling. So these wheel settings are generally there for you to adjust it to your liking.

Forza 7 on PC could be possible but GT Sport is impossible because it's only available on PS4 and there such programs doesn't work.

When I installed fanalab it turned my wheel into a spinning helicopter wrist breaking death machine so I had to uninstall lol

If GT Sport is coming to PC then yes, because it's not possible to run software like this on a closed system console.

@@DomB_Fanatec Thanks, but since beta 1.12 rotary dials (McLaren GT3) are no longer working in ACC. They're detected and working in the ACC setup menu, but as you step into the car they don't work!

What was the problem?
When I went to run it, if I remember correctly it said I need the driver. But I had use the driver on the site annnnnd went to the forums for the latest driver I believe. But after restarting the computer it kept saying something about the driver.
@@Tyborg425 you need at least 345 as a driver and I know there is an issue if driver or FanaLab is not installed on C drive.

That was with the old version, the high cpu utilization was already fixed weeks ago with the current version.

Well looks like the reviewers had no idea how to use this or what it did especially the speed sensitivity part they were so worried about adding dampening when in relaity its when it adds dampening to the degree of the wheel so that means lutting it higher doesnt mesn your getting more dampening lol

The failure of a good software and steering wheels to support the podium series has killed every interest in the product for consumers because simucube offers a better package and its taking fanatec too long to resolve the issue. Sometimes I feel they regret building a podium series

Mixed Reality Sim Racing I have a few people in my team who sold their DD2 to purchase a simucube because the forces they use keep breaking the steering wheels available by fanatec. Further more they all acknowledge the software available does not improve the feel as fanatec claims.I tried this for myself and to me the DD2 felt like a 10% improvement in feeling and 50% improvement in strength in comparison to the club sport v2.5. I believe the software is yet to bring out the potential here unlike simucube
