It's the only thing they could do to honor his legacy. They really showed how Arcadia was inspired by many Phish songs and having Trey fill it out at the end was incredible. A magic moment to live on for many years.
Stumbled across this last night as a new Dead Head, brand brand new Phish phan and now I see Goose. I have too much music to catch up on, but holy Christ the the segment starting at 15:41 with the bass line change and Trey’s blues licks is audial bliss
think the tour announced will do a lot to address that. Trey band when I first saw was power trio supposed to be his "Band of Gypsies " before oystehead and it ripped first tube, jiboo, many other fish staples from theat trio od russ lawton and Tony Markellis. Now larger band with percussionist, so I only imagine after treys set with similarsize band he will be having some sit ins that will just be incredible by then sound should be so innate .....was already great on this sit obviously trey was fan cause he stayed sang makes tons of sense. Good for the goose lol no cliche intended but like trey or phish inheriting dead fans Trey is cool to show his fanbase another beautiful band. Hate is just a projection of person hating all its ever been. Should be fun tour!! Great commercial creative cats
I literally cried. When they shifted around 32:00 and got back into it and then those last 8 minutes, WOW. My sister and brother in law got me into Phish when I was 13/14 around 2000.. Short story long; earlier this month my brother in law and I were planning on going to see Goose at Artpark. I had to bail at the last minute because *work,* of course. My sister took my ticket and she's thanked me several times for bailing because Goose is one of her new favorite bands. With Phish shows/tours being fewer and further between (and expensive as all get out, depending/we're older they're older/families, responsibilities) I watched this as a passing of the torch. Trey has been an icon forever, but seeing him shred on his $20k custom Languedoc and Rick keep up, if not surpass, in some ways on his ~$3k PRS guitar.. I'm looking forward to hopefully linking up with my family for more Phish shows, but we'll SURELY be catching Goose every chance we get going forward
30min mark they really synch up and nail some beautiful bliss for a few minutes setting the foundation for that absolute monster peak. So damn delicious.
The cost/value of a guitar has about 1% to do with the sound (apart from the pickups). And the last of diminishing returns looms LARGE once you spend more than (let’s say…) about $1000 (or less, even)

Hahha...I love it. I'm an atheist...but I still love this. It was very special indeed....and Goose it just on this crazy meteoric rise...and this was such a tip-of-the-hat from one of their idols. So happy for them. And I love that Trey embraces them as well. As it should be. The jam band scene isn't a competition.
One of my favorite experiences since my first Phish show as 16 year old kid losing his mind at Vernon Downs. To see Trey up there with these young cats got me all choked up. Pure joy for everyone from the players on stage (who couldn't hide their "holy shit, can you believe this" faces) to those of us lucky enough to be dancing in the aisles. From seeing Goose in 2018 play to about 20 people to selling out Radio City and playing a set with Big Red--it is so amazing. A magical evening in RCMH. Beyond stoked to have been in attendance. Thanks to Goose and to Trey for making this happen...and lest we forget about Josh Tillman coming out...What a fucking night! #TomorrowNeverKnows
Too be fair, Goose seem to always have that “holy shit can you believe this” face when they play. You can tell they love what they do and have a blast doing it.
The bassist Trevor has TREMENDOUS hair. Perfect coif with just half a bottle of hairspray and all of Michael Anthony's clothing. Hundred bucks he has high tops on...unlaced.
I will simply just never understand one thing: how did any of these dudes play another song this entire show after those two back to back? They reached another stratosphere that - if it were me - I could never return from. Goose + Trey just equals heat 🔥
This is literally one of the best jams I have ever heard. The transitions and the climactic build up (33:30 to the end) is absolute magic. I almost shed a tear at the end, that was beautiful. Music is alive and well. Thanks Goose and Trey

How fucking cool is this? Imagine Jerry jamming with phish. I love that we get to listen to this! I’m not gonna say Goose is better than, but every generation of jam bands takes some stuff from the old dogs and makes it something new. Music fucking rocks.
I have been a Phish fan for 30 years (in 2 days!) and have been largely annoyed by other new jam bands. But this....I like this. Not just because of Trey. These guys have a good sound going. I'm going to have to listen to more.
@ Jason Chappell I absolutely agree. Goose is obviously influenced by Phish, no doubt there. Funny because I was listening to phish 12/1/84 just last night and they were killing it on Scarlet>Fire. Listen to the music play indeed.

Such a good song. The solos are so emotive and the notes are perfect for the lyrical story of Hungersite. To this listener, even the vocal timbre fits the feelings of the lyrics perfect. Damn.
Literally bringing tears of joy to the eyes. Huge fan of both bands since I first heard both. Obviously heard Phish in the 90s, but I've been on the Goose wagon for several years now. This is a much earned monumental achievement for Goose. This almost feels like passing the torch.
Torch? Stamp of approval? Just imagine being Goose and your effing hero asks to sit in! They(trey?) cleary picked the songs in advance, and Trey knows the lyrics, arrangements & segues!? What an honor! Go Goose, Go!!
Same man. Huge Phish fan, bigger Deadhead, and never ever so much as heard the name Goose as a band. Glad I found this. It might be time to hit the pause button on Dead/Phish and see what this band’s all about. Very impressed!
This is why Trey is the greatest guitar player ever. I know it’s very objective but the guy can play anything. He learned part of the Dead catalog among other many other styles. This was an awesome duo and one that is up there for all time best.
This was obviously amazing, but let's put some RESPECT on the Dripfield as well. Highlight of the tour so far for me. Absolutely unreal night of music, as a long time Phish fan and new Goose fan (first show was Raleigh this year), this was just perfect. So happy for these dudes. Can't wait to see what time has in store for them, this stuff is the real deal.

I just discovered these guys and man am I so grateful! As someone who has played the long run from the Dead with Jerry, to Phish, and other greats like moe. and so on. I'm so grateful to see such a lengthy discography to get lost in for many years to come and no doubt to catch some shows near Columbus, Ohio where ive seen Tres and Phish many times. I first heard Goose on the TH-cam vid for Hungersited and Arcadia with Tres and I was instantly a forever fan- just as I was the very first time I heard Phish when my brother put on Picture of Nectar! I went broke the next day buying their albums. good times
33:17. This is where the tone-down / musical wrap-up bridge back to the 6-chord verse melody kicks Trey into that beautiful contemplative space. He LOVES soloing over these minor-major chord transitions, and it brings out the absolute best in his playing. Witness 34:00 - 35:00 when Rick steps back to give Trey some space. And then again 36:00 - 36:50. What a great juxtaposition of their respective styles.
I couldn't make it to the show because I was helping my family so it was wonderful that there was a live stream and this recording. I'm so glad this crossover moment happened and I'm hopeful it happens again at Peach. I will have seen Phish for 30 years next month and only caught Goose at Peach Fest and the Westfield Bowl. It's the only thing they could do to honor his legacy. They really showed how Arcadia was inspired by many Phish songs and having Trey fill it out at the end was incredible. A magic moment to live on for many years.
I am so unbelieveably proud of this band, they deserve every ounce of recognition coming to them/about to come to them. Goose TO THE MOON!
Trey is a class act. I got so hyped when he took the verse on Arcadia.
going to be great rour this fall TAB and Goose :)
Stumbled across this last night as a new Dead Head, brand brand new Phish phan and now I see Goose. I have too much music to catch up on, but holy Christ the the segment starting at 15:41 with the bass line change and Trey’s blues licks is audial bliss
Pretty exuberant to see the band so happy with such a legendary guitarist playing with them. Makes the haters seem pretty flat.
think the tour announced will do a lot to address that.
Go Goosey Goose on the loose play and stay fun! Love y'all very much 💞💓✌️💖✨💌
I literally cried.
Artpark's rad
With all the signal processing, effects, and pure awesome talent either of these guys would make a Chinese knock off guitar sound amazing.
The cost/value of a guitar has about 1% to do with the sound (apart from the pickups). And the last of diminishing returns looms LARGE once you spend more than (let’s say…) about $1000 (or less, even)
@@marcsullivan7987 treys red languedoc that he used in late 90s in his power trio and oysterhead, and imo as fan some of best concerts ive seen 90's phish shows, fela kuti, bill frisell, philip glass, love medeski martin and wood with or without schofield. Saw beneveto russo play first burlinton gig in 2003 maybe in tiny burlington bar, they were incredible. Seen Rooys since early 200's as well. Torched a lot of cars lol trey's newest Languedoc is closest to that sound and cleaner to better for band dynamics imo he'd by sheer energy really commandeer most jams in those days but cant tell you how many speechless walkouts RCMH ghost 98 , worcester wipeout night 98 island tour omg and quiet ride homes after legendary concerts or great went, lemonwheel , cant wait to see tour with TAB and goose he will be playing with large band percussion perfect mindset for more sit ins :) They will really push it can tell both very excited .....goose will have a lot of new fans lot like phis did after much more unfortunate circumstances with dead. Enjoy tour hope to see a couple!!!! Hopefully old feet can maintain lol
I love Phish and have been coming around on Goose, this ruled.
Just can’t stop coming back to this. The end of Arcadia gets my rocks off every time.
Awesome! I can't imagine how psyched I would be to be able to introduce Trey Anastasio as a guest. Career defining moment there. Sounds great, too!
This is the coolest thing I’ve seen in such a long time. Trey sit onda are always so awesome, but with goose??? It’s like God is smiling down upon the jam fans.
@@RichieAppel Sure, but it ain't like playing with Trey on stage at Radio City Music Hall.
Just heard about these guys from , the dad of 1 of the band members & I’m really impressed with the amount of talent
this is a communion of souls...bringing the scene together. stage bathed in warm tones...almost perfect acoustics. good on the people who were there.
Trey and Ricks tones compliment each other really well
Trey wearing Golden “Goose” sneakers… well played.
The bassist Trevor has TREMENDOUS hair. Perfect coif with just half a bottle of hairspray and all of Michael Anthony's clothing. Hundred bucks he has high tops on...unlaced.
I love how happy Pete is always
I will simply just never understand one thing: how did any of these dudes play another song this entire show after those two back to back? They reached another stratosphere that - if it were me - I could never return from. Goose + Trey just equals heat 🔥
I love this set ❤
This is literally one of the best jams I have ever heard. The transitions and the climactic build up (33:30 to the end) is absolute magic. I almost shed a tear at the end, that was beautiful. Music is alive and well. Thanks Goose and Trey
yessssssssssssssssssssssss
I let out a howl at that first jam. Love me some grease
So many phones! I’m not an old man, but I’ve always felt that you don’t see anything the same way when you’re trying to film it. Just groove and enjoy the moment!
I am 25 and i agree. Ill take a couple photos or videos at a concert and thats it. I wanna be present and experience it with my own 2 eyes and ears in real time
They can’t
Just an incredible night. Thank you Goose. Thank you Trey
0:00 Intro

Thanks for the time stamps!
scrolled about 3 mins to find this. thank you!
You're gonna have an awesome son!!!!!!being a father is the greatest gift in the world!!!
Filled me with an unbelievable amount of joy to see these two play together. Absolutely unforgettable. Thank you Goose and Trey for an amazing night, to many more of this duo!
Phoose?
Good god people, we need more of this. Thank you Trey, please double headline And cross pollinate for an entire tour. I’ll warm up my vehicle now in preparation.
@@MattWolaver looks like they saw your comment 😆
I became a Goose fan today ..... my god, amazing.
This is absolutely magical. As a lifelong Phish fan with a mild knowledge of Goose, I was smiling ear to ear. 🔥🔥🔥
Same
Do you guys not care that your bass player is a pedophile or you guys just all about the music man😂
That's a massive amount of talent there boys. Top shelf. Top shelf!
The sound engineers did a fantastic job as well!!!
First time I've ever been to Radio City. Just incredible to see Trey singing Arcadia how cool is that
Best one yet ❤️
I'm one of those faces out there, shoutout to those two old heads who miracled us in when stubhub dropped the ball
Using my son’s account who was at the show. And what a show! Thank you Goose. From an aging Deadhead.
Its nice to know that there are other older Dead Heads ( aren’t we all old at this point? ) who can relate to the really outstanding vibes these guys have.
Like how could anyone NOT enjoy this. So awesome to see this LEGEND on stage with Goose. So excited for this band!
Nice to see Trey sitting in with a younger band! Sounds great.
How fucking cool is this? Imagine Jerry jamming with phish. I love that we get to listen to this! I’m not gonna say Goose is better than, but every generation of jam bands takes some stuff from the old dogs and makes it something new. Music fucking rocks.
music does fucking rock~!!!!
Trey knew every turn , every corner. What a pro. Ernest!
The bassist just straight chilled and vibing out. I love it ❤😅
All while still maintaining filthy lines.
the last 8min of Arcadia are IT. Everything a Phish and Goose fan chases. Thank you music!!
What's better than having your Idol as a kid show up in your adult life and participate in the most bestest moment of your life!!!! Killing it!
The key change at 14:05 is just pure Trey and pure joy with Goose on board.
There’s no key change mate
Oh. My. God. Day to day life may never be the same again after having heard this…
Absolutely unreal. Historic. My heart is full today.
A great album is live in buffalo 11/16/19
Got me hooked for sure!!
Goose are sick, i consider them to be in the same league as phish and the grateful dead. Their music is soaked in that warm fuzzy psychedelic energy
@@OliverPascoe here hear!
Happy 30th brother!
Miss those early 90s mind melters!
thunder and lightning literally outside my window for last 38:31 seconds. really quite spectacular these guys goin off and mother nature doin her thang. wow what a gift! thanx yall!! keep shining bright. Bless
Crazy that Arcadia is one of the first original Goose songs and yet it remains a vehicle for the absolute best jamming and evolution with the band
Such a good song. The solos are so emotive and the notes are perfect for the lyrical story of Hungersite. To this listener, even the vocal timbre fits the feelings of the lyrics perfect. Damn.
still get chills when trey hits that first solo
Literally bringing tears of joy to the eyes. Huge fan of both bands since I first heard both. Obviously heard Phish in the 90s, but I've been on the Goose wagon for several years now. This is a much earned monumental achievement for Goose. This almost feels like passing the torch.
17:50 Arcadia
Loving Goose. Not sure about the torch passing though lol. As good as Goose is they have a LOT of mileage to make up before that happens!
Torch? Stamp of approval? Just imagine being Goose and your effing hero asks to sit in! They(trey?) cleary picked the songs in advance, and Trey knows the lyrics, arrangements & segues!? What an honor!
Go Goose, Go!!
@@UnkleBen isn't Trey reading the lyrics off a monitor? I could be wrong, not much singing and I didn't watch the screen for 40 minutes lol.
@@bluecollar825 😆🤘🏼
I'll admit, I've been sleeping on Goose and I wish I'd jumped in the pool sooner. These are some fire jams.
i'll admit trey is the only reason this got any views
Never to late. Saw em at Roadrunner tonight, they were 🔥🔥🔥
@@awesomesound8191 the fact that you had to have this dilemma is proof they aren’t good

@@charleshirtz2075 preeech , he carry’s this whole song too. Shits whack
I've been a life long Phish phan, I had never heard of Goose until today and wow I'm loving this
Same man. Huge Phish fan, bigger Deadhead, and never ever so much as heard the name Goose as a band. Glad I found this. It might be time to hit the pause button on Dead/Phish and see what this band’s all about. Very impressed!
Post the whole set!!! That look on Rick’s face when Trey took the first solo!
It's like they have been playing for some time together. Just majic!
Wow they are all in the fucking pocket 😮 1st time hearing Goose...unreal
You guys rocked. What a special moment! We need more!
38'33" of pure bliss. Pure undulating, pulsating, bliss.
This is why Trey is the greatest guitar player ever. I know it’s very objective but the guy can play anything. He learned part of the Dead catalog among other many other styles. This was an awesome duo and one that is up there for all time best.
What a beautiful night of magic ! He stayed in :)
This is pure joy. What a time to be alive.
If only the rest of the real world was in a similar state.
I dropped to my knees in gratitude. I cry every single time i listen 🙏
Amazing. I've watched this like a hundred times.
Great camera work again boys! Hats off to the CREW
They missed key moments, it didn't seem like the camera crew was familiar with the music.
MAD RESPECT for this band, top-notch musicianship!
No combination of words in any language will ever express how jealous I am of the people who were at this amazing show
Arch street tavern to Radio City with Trey…what a ride this is
This is so amazing my 2 favorite guitar players. Love it.
Trey is why I started playing. Rick is why I still play!!
Passing the torch
I know right!
@@derek2679 Trey is still holding the torch
ready for a lot more whole tour of tab a band with percussion and perfect band to enjoy and have trey in mindset to sit in when appropriate for some remarkable ripping tunes id imaging will get much better than even RCMH although thats just such a cool moment:) enjoy!!! Used to follow phis in 90's work gets in way for all us old toads but have to catch one of these shows!!!
Remarkable!! Been around for a long time. These guys are the QUILL 🪶!!😵💫
gooooooooooooose. thank you for bringing out the orange haired king 👑
I went broke the next day buying their albums. good times
The smile on treys face singing Arcadia is priceless
Gave me goose bumps and ear to ear smiles
lol
I couldn't make it to the show because I was helping my family so it was wonderful that there was a live stream and this recording. I'm so glad this crossover moment happened and I'm hopeful it happens again at Peach. I will have seen Phish for 30 years next month and only caught Goose at Peach Fest and the Westfield Bowl. They're definitely growing on me. Thank you very much for continuing to raise the bar!
Absolute jams of the year, IMHO. Totally blissed out!
One of the best things I've ever heard !!!
