I’m 13 and this is my favorite band. I was exposed to this at the right time.
I recorded a cover of this song and gave it to my wife as a Valentines day present. She passed this past March from pancreatic cancer. The most true love song ive ever heard.
I could close my eyes and go back to when I was 16 holding the love of my life and knowing this song would be our jam forever. 17 years later it still is

This band got me through one of the toughest stages of my life- They were my anthem for overcoming addiction. Being a musician and knowing Trey's story, made them even more important to me. I even had a dream that I met Trey and asked for an autograph and he took a vinyl cover of "Joy" and signed it but instead of an autograph handed it back with the word ADDICT written but crossed out with a big X
I just had a mutual breakup with a woman after a year and half because she was an Au Pair and had to go back to Mexico. This song made me cry like a little girl. I miss her so much.
My wife and I play in small vineyards and venues in central PA. We occasionally have fans of yours in our audience. She plays keys and I play guitar. We don't sound this good, but we feel this song to the bottom of our souls every time we play it. Thank you for writing it. Please don't sue us.
