When Doc and Merle Watson did "My Love Come Rolling Down," they were covering Eric Von Schmidt who wrote and performed it.
I’m really impressed with Billy in this video. He did not make it about himself which many musicians of his caliber might have. Instead he just served the music. Well done.
"With special guest Trey" is my new favorite genre. Must be pretty amazing to jam with your musical children.

I just saw Trey (my favorite musician of all time) come out with Goose at RCMH. That was absolute magic. Then I bought tickets to see Billy in Philly for the first time and that night Trey sits in with Billy. There is no torches being passed, just torches burn brighter as a result. These other bands made it on their own and Trey appreciates them. I do feel we may only have a short time remaining for Trey/Phish (just a weird feeling) so let's enjoy and celebrate his greatness.
Trey even mentioned in an interview "Idk how much longer i'll be able to do this" Makes sense, him and the rest of the guys are retirement age and have been touring hard for years. Not to mention the complexity of Phish songs can't be any easier to play when you're 60. That being said, I was sure to buy tix to 5 nights of Phish summer tour this year. Enjoy it while it's here, indeed. We are fortunate to be able to see some of these great musicians.
@@218maryland me too going to Philly and AC... waiting for Mexico announcement because I very well may do that. But since there is no announcement yet, they may be doing a festival instead for the 40th anniversary.
