    About this Video:
    The new Benjamin Armada Standard may initially scare some people off due to it's higher than the Marauder price tag, but it really shouldn't. When you start adding up all the accessories and features, it's actually a great value. While it may not have the fully licensed Magpull accessories as the higher priced Magpull edition, it excels where it counts; i.e. shot count, good shot curve, and good accuracy in my initial tests.

    I just placed an order for a Benjamin Armada .25 caliber today. After reading hundreds of awesome reviews I decided to buy one and get rid of my Benjamin Trail NP XL .22

    Love the tactical, not gimmicky “tacticool” look of it. Love to have one with a red dot,3x flip, and laser. And light and bipod lol.

    Wow! Puts my old Crosman pump to shame, but my old Crosman was a top-notch air rifle 55 years ago when I received it for Christmas. I still have that Crosman, but it looks like it's time for an upgrade.

    Thanks Rick for doing this video. I have really been wondering about this rifle and why it cost so much but didn't realize the scope came with it and bipod. The only downside is that it only comes in .22 caliber. If they would have made a .25 caliber I would have thought about it. So I went by your video on the airforce Condor and grabbed a condor .25 caliber and have been happy with it. Keep up the good work and am looking forward to your videos.

      truckin3030 - Thanks for the kind words. This rifle is going to be interesting for Crosman. It's not a "power house" airgun. That's ok with me as I shoot mostly at closer ranges and in my yard. I have shot it some at the range and it performs ok there as well. It will be nice to get some calm weather to see how well.
      Cheers!

      truckin3030 It's been available in all three calibers for about a month now! I purchased it in .22 because that was my need, a .22 cal...I already have .177 and.25 cal Marauders. But, think of all the interchangeability between it and the Marauder. I have taken my Marauder actions and dropped them into the Armada coat...I have AR-style .177 and .25 cals when I want. And vice versa....I have taken my Armada action and dropped it into my Marauder stock...for less weight and easier handling.

      +Joey C I've never thought about that aspect. I already own a .22 synthetic marauder, and just bought a .22 armada. This has given me something new to look forward too! Thanks!

    how does it come in the mail? un-boxing?
    does it come as a large assembled packaged for the mailman to steal? or is it in a kit to be mostly assembled when oppened?
    I like this one.

    Hey Rick,
    I've been looking at both the Evanix Sniper and benjamin Armada in .177 cal and I'm trying to choose between them. I'm in the UK so power is limited to just 12fpe. I'd be looking to have repeatable accuracy out to 50 yards to be competitive in field target comps.
    Which of the two rifles would you suggest to be better? even if the Armada in the vid is .22, while the sniper is .45 lol

    Rick, can you convert the .25 Armada to Magpul? Would be nice if it could be done. I know in one of your videos a year or so ago you mentioned that Crossman might make the .25 in the Magpul edition. Can't understand why they wouldn't offer it. Thanks.

    Hey Rick thanks for all the videos and the hard work! Partly because of your videos and others, I went ahead full bore and got the Benjamin Armada .25 and I've customized it to my own style and liking. It looks so great but I have not shot it yet due to time constraints. I know from watching all of the videos on the marauder .25 as well as those on the Armada .25, I would like to boost the FPS to the upper 800's, like 880 or so. do you know a good air gun smith that can do what it takes to raise the feet per second as well as install a hammer de-bouncer?

    • @AirGunWeb

      Ross - I'm not aware of anyone that I would personally recommend at this time. I would have said Cecil, but he's full time with Hatsan USA now and not in a place to do that kind of work. Take a look at the GTA Airgun Forum and see if they can help point you in the right direction.

    @renterp 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello again Rick, I just watched a video where a guy said that you cannot leave the armada pressurized, and it needs to be degassed when not in use. Is this true, and is this not opposite of the marauder, because I've left that pressurized as I thought that's what the manual said. So, with the armada, do you know if I can leave it "charged" while not shooting it. Having to fill it completely every time I pick it up could be troublesome. Thanks. :)

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is best to leave at least some pressure in any PCP rifle to keep the seals in good shape and to avoid excess moisture and debris out of the air cylinder.

    +Airgun Expert & Critic-Rick Eustler / Airgunweb Hi Rick, I have a .25 marauder synthetic and it started to leak air a while ago. I am having it sent in to Baker Airguns and they are going to fix it for me and send it back. How can I make sure that this wont happen again? Also, the zoom function on my scope has been damaged somehow. It is very hard to turn the knob but otherwise the scope seems to be fine, should I be worried about this? Will It effect the performance of my scope? I appreciate your answer, Thanks.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +austin igbenebor - you will always have to rebuild the Marauders as with most pcps.. the o-rings will wear out. Using dry clean air is the best way to keep them operating properly. As for your scope.. I don't know. You may need to consider replacing it if it does not hold zero. Contact the manufacturer of the scope to see if there is a warranty and if it is still valid.

    • @AirgunNinja
      @AirgunNinja 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t speak to the Armada but I had a Hatsan Airmax. It was ultimately returned since it could not hold air overnight. Bad quality control. Now that I’ve had more experience with other PCP’s, the Hatsan side lever though functional is ver sloppy. Open the lever say half way and you can wobble it up and down. IMO, that is sloppy. The Armada .25 is in my near future ;)

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      James Denny - it depends on what they tested to get 1000 fps. I'll gun some 11.9 grain hobby pellets through it and see where it goes. I can be adjusted up for power, but then you loose shot count. As a note, I just shot some footage of the Armada at 50 and 100 yards at this power level. I'll just say that I was impressed. Look for the video to come out soon. I don't see a need to increase the power at all. Accuracy is there.. Shot count is there.. don't fix what isn't broken.

    Thanks for another great vid Rick! I really think Crosman missed the mark with this and the bulldog and I am guessing the sales will show it. I have yet to see a video of the bulldog that would make be buy one and all of their videos where the loudness of the bulldog "magically turns into a whisper of air" did not help them either as every "real" video posted is much different, when you try to pull one over on your customers they will remember, just be honest. I have 2 mrods and love them but Crosman has lost my interest with their latest offerings.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      trpe71 - I hope to get a Bulldog shortly. I'll give it the "facts not fluff" treatment and hopefully that will bring some clarity to the matter. From what I've heard it's all about the ammo. I have a great source for some custom ammo that has shown to get the magical 1" at 50 with a bulldog. Time and testing will tell if that is repeatable accuracy or just a once off.
      I love the Armada.. It's a very smart move on the part of Crosman to release it in all 3 calibers. I believe the sales of the Armada will supersede the Marauder over the next year.
      I guess we'll see.

      Thanks Rick, as always your info is appreciated and I agree on the Armada, they dropped the price and introduced .25 very wise indeed! As far as the bulldog I am interested in seeing your review but still wish they would have just made a beefy .30 or .35 Mrod, I think they lost my interest in the bulldog, and I am not sure how much I trust what they post moving forward... That is why honest reviews are important and why I subscribe..

      +samenatorful - the armada is not a 100 yard gun.. 3 to 4 moa at 100.. 2 moa at 50. 200 yards is really not practical with an off the shelf airgun. If you want repeatable accuracy at say 100 yards.. you may get that.. look for .30 cal or higher however.

    why doesnt the armada average 900+fps like the .22 marauder. A bit disappointing

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      018132 - you can make it do that if you like. It's just a matter of making the adjustments. However, if accuracy with shot count is what you are after, then lower velocity may be a bit better. You'd have to do some testing to see what best fits your needs.

      +018132 it is a bit disappointing. this is always advertised as a 1000FPS rifle, but failed to reach that by a broad margin. this barely keeps up with some of the break barrels i've seen at wal-mart. $$1000 will get you a helluva lot more rifle in this market.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +MTRX 2010 (Marty) - comparing this to a walmart gun is not a valid comparison.. those "1000" fps guns, if they do it, are doing so with 7 grain pellets.. put 14.3 or 15.89s in them and they will barely pump out 700 fps. If they are advertised as .22 shooting 1000 fps, it's probably with allow pellets and not lead. It's just not apples to apples by any stretch of the imagination.
      With that said, this is marketed as shooting "up to" 1000 fps. If you want 1000 fps from the marauder platform, just adjust it to that. Benjamin includes the instructions on how to do so.. not rocket science nor does it impact your warranty. You'll get fewer shots and may not have the same accuracy in the end.. but you'll have the power.

    I just got my self a .25 cal benjamin armada for $ 424 dollars, ( rifle only )

  • @MTRX2011
    @MTRX2011 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    that's kinda weak on those 15GR pellets. I was hoping it would do 1000FPS with a 14GR pellet. 8(
    so basically the only thing you're really getting for a $$1000 is a ati / ar style furniture. although i do like that accuracy, this doesn't seem to be much of a performance jump from most break barrels, and falls below some of the better break barrels. for a $$1000 i'd expect a lot more rifle.

      The point is to be subsonic with most pellets

      +TKO593 1000fps is still subsonic.

    24 fps spread is too much....

    • @AirGunWeb

      Matswalrois K Basuki - maybe in a regulated gun.. but in a non regulated gun, and from this out of the box from Crosman, 24 FPS is very good across a full 40 shots.

    Boringly accurate... Wel at 20 heck even 50 yards any serious air rifle is boringly acurate. If you want a challenge. Shoot further. Like 120 yards and beyond.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      offroadfreak8582 - if only that was the case.. some guns take a lot of technique and work to see consistent, repeatable accuracy. Your European airguns are some of the easiest to shoot where the more powerful springers can really test your patience. This rifle, is extremely easy to shoot and see shot after shot hit the same spot.

    Please don't wear a black shirt when reviewing a gun that is black. I can hardly see the gun.
