Benjamin Armada the AR15 of Airguns! - Shooting the .25 cal Armada at the Range!

- I’ve been wanting a Benjamin Armada .25 Cal for a very long time. When the opportunity came up to get one AND be able to get my .22 out to Airgun Angie I was really excited. This .25 cal Armada is pushing the JSB Kings at just under 40 foot pounds. That’s a lot of energy out of a very quiet airgun. What makes the Armada so special is its ability to be customized with standard AR15 Parts like the grip and buttstock. I added a very cool unique AR grip and a standard AR buttstock to this gun so that it felt more sturdy then the basic factory stock. The Spectrum FFP scope is another real bonus on this package. This setup was a joy to get in and even more of a joy down at the range. I can’t wait to take this out into the field and see what it can do!

I have quick question. The rings you are running with the rail on top to mount a red dot or reflex sight, do you know who makes them and the model number? They would be really nice on my armada for squirrel hunting.

It’s said that the .25 has a better barrel- not so- the barrels are made by Benjamin in house for the .22 & 177 and are comparable in quality and a lot cheaper.

Thanks Rick. Some links could have been provided. And more info. The others shooting wasn't a problem with me. The gun looks good, something that can't be said of them all. You didn't mention the trigger performance, but it must have a good and short first stage, cant see your finger move.

armarda always been a good looking gun, crossman/Benjamin should bring out a hunting version of the aramada & the marauder .25cal/50/55 fpe & regulated like there field n target, but the hunting version is only in 25cal....great review Rick

Last time you said the edge will get 1 inch groups at best. Let me tell ya! Boy mine is out performing!! Half inch group all day brother! Shot it about 500 times already!
I love my .25 Armada so much, I don't even like to shoot it very often haha, its perfect. I can basically drive through the same hole every time and it absolutely destroys metal targets. I got a .22 chief 2 plus and a qb78s as my yard beaters. and even the chief 2 plus is shooting HOT lol. I got it crankimg at over 900fps. My next buy is going to be the Benjamin Fortitude probably in .177 the wifey is finally starting to come around to my new hobby even and start shooting with me a little haha. These new PvP guns are amazing.

For the money can't get any better i have a Gen 2 marauder and whit the Green Mountain barrel it is light's out.

My .22 is highly accurate just as this .25 is , it is a tack driver out past 75 yards

Will most gun ranges allow you to use a air rifle? And is range effectiveness a problem when using a air rifle at a range? I'm new to this! Thanks!
I’ve never had an issue shooting Airguns at the range. Airguns are good for out to 100 yards. With pellets. New ammo and calibers stretch things to out to 1200 yards if you want to take that ride and you have the wallet for it.

Impressive so will it be accurate out to 100 yards?
Sub 2” groups all day, from a rest, depending on wind. I’m using JSB 18.1 grain pellets in my .22. It’s boringly accurate. At 50 yards you will just get bored stacking pellet on pellet. Was considering getting the .25, but now I’m leaning towards an Air Force Texan in .30 just for sheer power.

Look at it everywhere very closely. Take it apart and do it again. Check the spring ability to travel, and it's strength. Maybe the holes don't align. Chain saw file. Maybe carousel is binding.

Give it a tune for power and you could send Rat Sniper slugs downrange at 1100fps. Also you can easily put on flip up sights.

Not sure.. I'll have to talk with Evanix to find out. That grip that I used on this armada could be very easily modified to fit on the REX.

Great video. What was the fps when you made those shots. What gun would you say is the best all around fun shooting gun, not for hunting but within 50 yards between the 22 or 25, and what are pros and con. I already have /177, 22's in high powered guns and one 25 cal Hatsan Flash I haven't fired. Would you go 25 cal?

Yeah, however stay within 30 yds to be safe. I wouldn’t do it unless I had the Seneca 2500/ Sumatra. Supposedly ppl can get them up to 100fpe. I’ve seen them at 90 with market slugs.
My .22 armada can drop a coyote where it stands at 58 yards. Head shot just below the ear. Id trust it to 70 yards even. Pushing over 1000fps

Yes I would say so. The reason is that the armada is a marauder. The mrod is and always will be a staple pcp rifle. The mrod has over a decade of history as a reliable air rifle. For the price I'd say it's one of the safest bets out of the box and has tons of tried and true upgrades available for better fpe and more consistent fps. Crossman also has good customer service. Very few pcp rifles have been around as long as the mrod and continued to collect great reviews.

I'll give you several.. all subjective and has nothing to do with price.. if price is your ONLY concern, then no airgun makes sense..
1. personal preference to the form factor
2. ability to customize the crap out of it
3. easy to add bi-pod and rifle sling without having to install sling studs
4. massively long flat top rail for using night vision screens or other video capture devices on the scope and still be able to shoulder it properly.
5. built and serviced here in the US.
I'm sure others will have different reasons.. the point is.. who cares why someone likes it? It does not invalidate another product. I'm looking forward to getting the diana outlaw in.. I hope it lives up to all it's potential.
