Ephant Mon is cool and has legitimately been one of my favorite Star Wars aliens since 1983. If you owned the original ROTJ storybook, then he was front and center on one page in that. Plus, he was easily visible in some of the "making of" documentaries, back in the day. But, yeah, he was a victim of pan-n-scan, which is why a lot of people who grew up watching Star Wars on VHS thought he was a Special Edition addition. Even though you are not a 3.75" guy, I would highly recommend the Ephant Mon action figure, from 2002. The sculpting and detail on that guy look amazing even today.
1:53 I thought that Trooper Said, "Knights of Ren... GOALS." I choked on my soda. Put on the subs and saw that he had called them "Ghouls", which is weird. But not as weird as thinking that if with hard work that soldier in the Emperors Grand Army could become one of the Knights one day. I say, aim high lowly trooper. Never give up on your dreams.
These are the names I like to give the Knights of Ren. I call them Ren Nihilus, Ren Plagues, Ren Bane, Ren Sion, Ren Talzin, and Ren Krayt as their named after ancient Sith Lords.
Funny enough RoS showed they do in fact walk around Star Destroyers with dirty shoes and leave dirt around lol I hope we get the rest and they keep the dirty sand theme and don't do something stupid like snow effects on half
1:24 I watched that film for only the second time last night. When that scene happened with the helicopter camera, my eyes involuntarily rolled back into my skull. Couldn't finish it last night. Maybe I will try again another time. The wasted opportunities with these characters are hard to deal with. I know you like it Mike. More power to you dude.

The Range Trooper figure from Solo a Star Wars Story also has the single jointed knee. I don't like the look on that one either, but with the bulkiness of that design I can understand it. Great review as ever Mike.
I found this guy on a shelf at best buy about a month or so ago and picked him up right away. I hope Hasbro plans to produce all of the Knights of Ren at some point, as this is a pretty cool fig imo. My only gripe is that he seems rather small in height compared to the other 6' figs and not a big fan of the single jointed knees lol
The craziest one I've heard of are the twin sister assassins in Mos Eisley Catina in New Hope. They aren't the real twins, they're two imposters pretending to be the assassins.
The Tonnika sisters from Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina! I believe they were spies for the rebel alliance, and they actually had the death star plans on them or something like that, right? Hammertong or something? Damn, it's been like... 20-25 years since i read that.

No, you’re right. They were spies disguised as twin assassins. At least in the legends canon. But the Death Star stuff was why they were hiding out on Tatooine or something.
I have two of these and on one the helmet is a black matte finish and the other has a high gloss finish. So I guess that qualifies as a variant. It looks like yours in this review is a soft black matte. Re: the other 5 Rens, it’ll never happen.
Took a chance ordered 5 Black Series figures from Best buy last week...scored 2 Zori Bliss, 2 Knight of Ren, and a Commander Bly! Trying again to see if I can score a Dooku and/or Sith Jet Trooper
Love the figure. Mine arrives next week from Amazon. The Rise of Kylo Ren comic redeems the Knights for me although I definitely wish to see a Disney + show about them in the future. Hopefully Hasbro gives us the other 5 in the near future.
I wanna know how the KoR knew Kylo turned good. If theyre his guards then why did they attack him? If anything they should have helped Kylo against Sidious
articulation is one of the hallmarks of modern toy design. 5poa figures have their place, for sure. But with the advent of more points of movement, we've come to also expect more!
Yeahhhhh... This guy will be a peg/warehouse warmer. Maybe in a five year time frame Hasbro may make three of these guys...maybe. Demand wise every main character in Mandalorian trumps these guys. Personally the Monk and Sniper guys looked cooler than this one. Isn’t his code name the Rogue or something like that? I haven’t read the comic with these guys yet. It will be on Marvel Unlimited sometime. These knights are in three cool blip scenes of the Sequels. Love the shoulder shrug scene! It’s that moment I could watch over and over. Great scene Abrams! I’d sacrifice 3/4 of the Last Jedi and 1/3 of Rise of Skywalker to give the Knights another 5-10 min of screen time. Oh well, we needed another scene of Finn running up to the camera dramatically and screaming Reyyyyyyy!
It would be really nice if Hasbro gave us a one-shot box set for the remaining Knights of Ren, similar to the recent box set they did for Marvel Legends Alpha Flight (minus Marrina).
Cool! I wasn’t sure by the promotional pictures if the figure was gonna be too good, but when I got mine in, I was very impressed by the figure! Great video!! This is the way!!
Great review again Mike. When I first saw pics of this guy, immediately thought that leg articulation would be severely hindered. Should have been soft goods for the lower half. Maybe that way they could have continued with the double jointed knee. The "dirt" seems a bit meh...especially the shins and feet. The holster is a joke but I still needed this figure and maybe we'll get the others. Seems stupid if we don't. Take care bud.

The knees are kind of growing on me. Thicker joints means less bowing and warping. And they still have a decent movement.

I think skirts and capes with elaborate materials and textures are better off in plastic rather than cloth
It goes both ways. I think it’s better soft goods sometimes, and molded plastic others. They have their pros and cons.

Yep, I could tell the leg articulation was going to be off. It’s not horrible, but I prefer the old articulation.
