I’ve been in trucking basically all my life. My dad told me I was conceived in a 1958 Emeryville. Mom has never said one way or another. I grew up on Cummins engines, moved into the Cat engines but the sound of the Scania is very impressive. Cassie you are a fascinating woman, love watching you

I don't know what to be more jealous of that you drive a Scania or that you get to take your dog to work.
Just a suggestion, next time you open the Radiator cap. Carry a shop rag large enough to cover the entire cap.
This way the potential spray of hot coolant will be diverted enough to turn away in time.
Gloves help, but a 8 by 8 inch rag is best.
Your dog is wonderfully well behaved. Just sitting on the floor waiting for your suggestions.

I was a semi truck mechanic for about 14 years in Oregon and in Washington in USA. Wish we had knowledgeable, professional, and courteous drivers like you!!!

Lovely country Sweden,been there a few times and I’ve been to Uppsala once,I then went to near Valbo a little further North on the same trip then down to Copenhagen for a back load to Edinburgh....!!
A friend of mine would regularly do a trip form Birmingham to Arjeplog during the winter....!!

Cassie, the manual transmission in the Scania, is that a fully synchronized transmission so another words would shift just like a car transmission .... push the clutch down and shift to the next higher or lower gear with no need to use the throttle to match gear speeds to make the shift. If you've driven the Eaton transmissions such as the 18 speed for example, they are NOT syncro transmissions other then the high/low range and the splitter while in each gear position as otherwise its always about having the engine rpm matched to the next gears road speed and its a whole new world for someone to get behind the wheel of a typical highway truck in North America with a standard transmission ( why some companies have gone extensively to automated transmissions because of the lack of skill new hire drivers have these days )

A manual? Wow, lucky. Not many of those in Europe nowadays. Nearly all computer transmissions.

I think it is recommended to use your microwave with the engine running. If the batteries are old you could kill them pretty easy if the microwave is powerful enough. (But ask around, don't take my word for it)
The microwave has its own battery that I turn off when finished :D

When you do it all in water check before you start the engine up or do you just go on it then do an all water check which do you do

Hey have you checked out (Happiness By The Mile) Channel. I wonder if shifting is different from a american cabover. My grandpa drove truck in germany and Italy when he was in the army and o.t.r. when he got home. And my dad drove o.t.r. here in the us. But yeah I think her name is shelby, and Happiness By The Mile is the name of her channel.
