That truck you drive is similar size as the one I drove about sixteen years ago. It was a Volvo FL6 with a Palfinger crane and 6.5m long open bed. I delivered mostly to construction sites in Helsinki (Finland) and neighboring cities. Got finally the CE license instead of just C and I start in a new trucking job soon. Great videos, keep'em coming.

    • @Dutch3DMaster
      @Dutch3DMaster ปีที่แล้ว

I never cease to be amazed by some of the cranes on those things being able to fold out 3 or 4 times and than still have a piece capable of extending 3-4 times (or is extrude outwards a better description) and being able to lift portacabins without seeing the thing bent.
(Along with the operators having such a feeling for the levers on those installations that they can put things down with centimeter-fine precision).
If I am on my bicycle and I have some time when I see something being unloaded like that (or when it's just safer to do that because it is happening on the road where I cycle), I just can't help but still watch in awe that we as humans are capable of building stuff like that.

3:14 I thought you were going to mention that your phone has the wrong dimensions in mind for thinking it's a car.
We had a coach driver once who used his car navigation for driving us to a party destination with family (we used to have an uncle who held big birthday parties every 5 years, hiring a coach to go somewhere in the country, like a zoo or a museum).
He turned onto a road that ends in a very narrow, not-meant-for-trucks-or-buses bridge. Many family members who knew that road well and how it would end were like "That's not possible..." and we came up to the bridge and the driver quickly found out that the big concrete blocks near the entrance of the bridge were there to keep trucks and buses from even trying to enter there.
There had not been a maximum-weight sign placed at the time, but most of us were concerned about the weight of the bus.
Upon making the widest turn possible onto the bridge, the driver clipped one of the concrete blocks and wrecked the backdoor's mechanism, which caused a very loud screeching and cracking sound inside the bus. Because the nose of the bus was on the center of the little bridge, we were all feeling we were breaking through the bridge deck and the bridge was collapsing.
We did make it through, but then got into a little village that in no way is equipped to handle those big buses (narrow streets and tight corners).
On the way back the driver had heard during our visit to the museum that there was a better way to get there, and with the turn coming up that his car navigation suggested he went to some people in the back "So I need to skip this one?" and multiple people were like "Yes, YES!! Ignore this one and drive straight on!!!"
It turned out we exceeded the maximum weight by 1,5 tons (kilograms) and that the village is now a zone for vehicles shorter or equal to a maximum of 12 meters, and the bus we were on was a 14 or 15 meter one (double-back-axis type).
Upon reaching the museum the driver found out that the backdoor was wrecked so bad that it refused to open (the bottom metal part that keeps it parallel during opening was completely torn off, and was probably laying near the concrete block we hopped over with that side of the bus :P .
9:28 what a weird feeling to see that steering wheel by the way: the same type is on my bus/truck simrig, it appears it's prone to wear and tear though, a lot of the second hand examples have the artificial leather come loose I have seen.
Interesting to see the horn button being broken: I have taken the inside of the wheel apart to wire the buttons for joystick functionality and those horn buttons are pretty well built. They are electrically not what I expected (pushing 2 springy brass contacts onto each other simple but effective) but still strong in their construction.

In your last clip that 70kph single track road road, we have a lot of roads like that In the uk. Most of them roads have what we call national speed limit, 50mph (81kph) in trucks and 60 (96kph) in cars. All I can say is when I drive down them in my tipper truck, you would think I am driving a rally car. They are always the most fun roads to drive on

Another interesting video especially with the height limits. Definitely a good truck to use for these deliveries, not too high or too wide. Happy to hear that you enjoy ETS and ATS. That is the only truck driving I do now but find it both relaxing and satisfying especially during this Covid 19 lock down in the U.K. Am looking forward to more of your videos. Stay safe and healthy during these pandemic times.

Hej Cassie!
Trevlig helg och bussigt bonus by the way!

i have a hook i made from a meter of 13mm concrete rebar with a loop on the other end to move pallets. just hook a corner, and pull with the loop. they spin fairly easily, except when they touch other pallets. get your maintenance guy to make you one. 1 meter of 13mm rebar with a hook on one end, a welded loop on the other. it's a very useful tool.

Your colt reminds of a young girl truck driver I hired. I was teaching her to back up a 16 ton GVW grain truck and she just wasn't getting it. Figured she was getting frustrated and it was time for a break. Luckily a neighbour lady had a week old colt. Did she want to see it? She did and didn't take her hands off it for 15 minutes. She was right on the next day. She said she was lying in bed that morning when she realized she had to sight off the rear corner of the box.

Always nice to see a video of you...respect for what you do...Don’t know what you said in Swedish but I think it was not so positive as it sounds 🤔 why not try a video in Swedish with English subtitles ones...I think it sounds great too..

Haha I was commenting on the guy coming from the left, he was supposed to let me pass before him xD
I should include some true road rage some time, lol! It doesn't happen very often tho ^^
