I've watched more than a few videos about Swedish truck driving and the thing that strikes me the most is the lack of traffic. I live in California and one can not go to the local grocery store without hitting traffic.

Thank you! :D The longest "normal" rigs are allowed to be 25,25 meters long, but we have some special transports as long as 32 meters :D

I'd love to be a truck driver, although it'd have to be a Scania V8 with some loud pipes (maybe settle for a Volvo FH16 750 though!). Anyway, just wanted to comment to say your dog is adorable!

I drive a R400 at work with the same clutch system like you’re scania. I think it’s better to have a clutchpedal rather than Automatik clutch. What do you think?

That reminded me of my worst delivery ever. I delivered a cooler for a little market and the pallet was super narrow and 12 feet (4m)? It was too long for my liftgate on the back of my truck and weighed a ton and was super top heavy. It took me 3 hourz parked along a busy street in the worst part of summer to fight with that thing. When I finally got it in the owner inspected it and said it had a scratch and to send it back... I felt like dying...

Hmm, I was going upwards a snowy hill once, with a single truck, lost the grip and started sliding backwards! That was really scary! It stopped just before a big pile of concrete leftovers, so nothing broke and no one got hurt, gladly!
Also had a tyre explosion on a trailer a couple of years ago. Would be a nightmare if that happened on a front wheel :O

@@TruckerCassie Thank you for your answer 😉 Ohh, air from the exploding Tyre has a deadly force that just break off a bumper of car which stayed on side of truck in traffic (I saw it only on video and I'm happy that I doesn't see or feel on myself), but a tyre explodes when I was riding on a bike, gladly it doesn't happend when he was overtaking me 😱

I saw a clutch pedal, I thought they didn't have them in europe.
There are Opticruise gearboxes with and without a clutch :)
When I've driven far I tend to forget the clutch when I'm, about to make a full stop sometimes 😂
Clutch is still common, especially in hauling timber or gravel but it's becoming more and more rare as automated gearboxes evolve.
You need to turn your audio up, TH-cam audio is on max and I still can't hear you.
