- Hi guys! It has been too long since my last video. Here I share some clips from my latest work days and talk a bit about them. But also the importance of daring to make changes in life.

to keep your mirrors clean, tie a strip of cloth to the mirror arm, and the slip stream will flap it up and down over the mirror !

Yep, a boss who understands that reality can all too easily differ a lot from what was planned, and just accepts it without putting any additional pressure on you is worth a lot. Sure, the good ones can pretty quickly tell whether you're indeed running into issues or are just slacking off, but when there's even some temporary leniency (for those "having a bad day/week" times), it's a keeper for me 😊

It’s so true that it is important to have a balance between life and work. Not necessarily easy to achieve and sometimes you can go through difficult moments, but when you do so, you feel so much better. We feel all the positive energy that surrounds us.

Since my first roadtrip (by car) to Sweden I'm watching your TH-cam-Channel more often. It was a very nice trip and not a day goes by that I remember this wonderful time.
Taking the ferry „MS Drotten“ from Rostock/Germany to Nynäshamn was very cool, it was like the ferry you took to Gotland. You can calm down, if you are alone and can take a deep breath on sea.
Remembering to comment your video „Finding a balance between life and work“ I would like to say that you can be proud of yourself that you made the decisions to change something in your life. I can´t really compare between the Life-Work-Balance in Sweden and in Germany, but it is very important to have enough space to live your life without being at work.
The time in Sweden (by the way, i was near Älvsbyn) was the best time for years. Be yourself, do what you have to do for your own and a few good friends. Hiking, take a break in nature...
Next year I will try to do it again.
Okay, i think that´s enough. I just want to say that it´s very cool to see you doing this nice job on the road, in this lovely country. Keep your lovely smile.

Att ledningen är ute på vägarna själva är definitivt guld värt, så håll dig fast där, dom växer verkligen inte på träd. När du mår allt bättre kanske du kan jobba lite mer. Två dagar per vecka är lite väl lite, speciellt med den braiga arbetsledning du har nu 👌 Mysiga katter och hundar du har ❤️👍 Kram på sig.

Cassie, glad you seem to have finally found inner peace. Yes, toxic relationships will drag you down quickly. A clean break is sometimes the best course of action. Keep the spirits high and don't waste energy on things you cannot control. Have great weekend. It is holiday here in the USA.

Toxic... yeah... my mum. It escalated so much so we had to take a lawyer. Still ongoing but we will win. Stories against evidence...
But... yeah, get rid of people that are poisoning you mentally. Even in this case. I know it's my mum but crossing several lines in life demands action. And maybe also to get rid of those people. The damage they will do if you don't do it is way much bigger. Almost lost my marriage to this and it took me years to understand what is going on. Don't risk that! ☝🏻

You are a very wize and smart lady. And things you are goin thru and been thru. Is good or bad makin you more and more mature. Life isn't allways easy. But you are finding the way for you that will bring you thru. Keep on listening to that wize voice inside you. And remember that help thru friends or professionals are never far away. I have gone thru exactly some of the same things as you. And just as you I have learned the hard way. To take away things or people in ure life that just takes your energy and not give you anything back. In my case some things has tipped over to have a trust issue with all people. So that's what I have to work with but I'm getting there.. :) Remember you are a wonderful person. And we all love to follow what you decide to share in you're life. I agree with you 100 percent. Nothing is worth being miserable all the time. Not even being well paid. It is unhealthy.
I can relate to what you have talked about here. It would be nice to believe that some of the people watching this who might be on that same self destructive journey realise that there is a solution. Perhaps some of the 'slave driving' bosses that you have mentioned are on the same self destructive road path. I seems that you have found the ideal work/life balance now. I love to hear you talk because you make so much sense. You do not need toxic relationships because they only lead to lifeitis or enormous conflict within yourself self. Listen to your inner being am off-load and do what you just told everyone else to do!

Hey Cassie, I am also truck driver in EU and what can i say.. i can say that i can relate to soooo many points you mentioned in this video. Toxicity and how big influence this have for our mental health. I am now after accident after loading, recovering and resting a lot. I was rly stressed about quiting my last job but i did it last month. Now i am betwen chapters and i hope life will be better. Big thanks for you video and wise words from you. Other drivers also say that they work lot of hours ealier but they also decided to reduce this to local, inner country transports, 8-12 hours work. They want go back home every day and sleeps in own rooms in own normal beds.
Very sound advice and decisions. Yes, difficult decisions are a part of life. A little luck is required, but as you rightly said, if we do our part, many times things do work out. Your narrative in this video clip is excellent.
Cassie, I think this is one of your best videos ever. I like it because it is just a Down To Earth Cassie? Just a thought that helped me when life and others put too much on my plate and that is to take tasks and break then into the tiniest pieces and just do small amounts every day. Lie the videos you need to edit, maybe do about 10-15 minutes each day - Soon they are done. The rig looks really nice! You are my lifeline to Sweden!
My grandmother is that way, working to the death.....she gets paid ok after 25 years where she’s at but she even neglects her health for the company and I think she finally realizes what I’ve been talking about, she sacrifices herself basically and her life for this company but they would not do the same, COVID showed her that and now she’s considering finally retiring because of it. She finally realized her boss she thought was so great just did the minimum without actually handling anything or helping, just nicely putting “deal with it” to her and he’s retired now and the new boss doesn’t like her for whatever reason so she’s constantly trying to find reasons to write her up.
I will never put a company before my well being anymore, not unless they would do the same. I worked so hard at places and finally realizing not to because it’s not sustainable when they don’t match it for you. Just wish I realized it sooner lol

Believe it or not, by the end of the video, I had tears in my eyes. Maybe one day I'll tell you why, if I get the chance. You are a lucky man. You live in a place where you can afford, if you feel good about your work, your personal life, to be offered a "seemingly" better opportunity that you know nothing about. You can ask yourself, do I need better than this life, this job? You can say no thanks, this is perfect for me.
If you have truly found something you can be happy with, don't give up just because you were promised better. I'm glad you're happy!
Totally understand you, i've reached to the point of "mental burnout" due to the workplace i was at the time...my ex - boss is the worst human being that i've came across and it really put me down for almost 6 years of my life. That lead to 2 years of severe depression and i'm still recovering from it.
Took refugee on my Dog, my online games, Photography and my beloved Aprilia :P ... it helped me a lot breaking free of my mental prision.
Last year, in december, i've finnaly finished my truck license and i'm now on a mission to find a job that treats me like a human being.
Finnaly i just wanted to say that i came across your channel by accident and it gives me chills because I see myself in a lot of what you say and it's nice to know that are people who have a similar way to look at life as me :)

I was driving a truck with poor aerodynamics and the road was dirty and the mirrors and headlights would mud up in about a couple of miles and I would be pulling over to clean them just so I could see. Stay safe out there Cassie.

Very good work on that 3 point turn& reverse, one of the main points to be aware of when reversing a trailer, is note where the front wheels/bogey of the trailer are pointing, 'cause these will determine the direction of the trailer . ( just as well you had power steering, believe me it can be an arm killer without!!).
Good to hear you enjoying yourself and clearly feeling chilled. Moving on from overwork and the wrong people is a challenge but has to be done. The "night vision" sounds interesting; looking forward to that. It is about 6 degrees here (UK); if it was -4 we would all be saying the country was shut down!

Office pilots who fly desks all day haven't got a clue what it's like driving a truck . I've only ever worked for a company once where the owner actually had driven trucks and knew what you were up against. It does make the job less stressful. Good luck with it from Australia.

Hey Cassie. I don't know if you saw my message I send you at fb messenger. But I just wanted to say how cool you are. I can really relate to a lot of struggles you have in your life, especially in work environment. I think a lot of truckdrivers think the same about it. Especially in the wintermonths when you leave your house in the dark(and all your neighbours are sleeping) and when you get home in the dark (and the whole neighbourhood is already at home), you really start to think What the hell am I doing??

It was great that you explained the importance of health in the workplace to those who didn't see the first one, and for people to learn to say 'no' to employers who try to exploit them, when like yourself in the past, have worked holidays and xmas to help them out. I'm glad that you took that route to better health and a more relaxed working week, and it shows in your videos. Great 3 point turn, by the way, I was really impressed, not that I ever doubted your ability! It always seems that it's like reversing a 40 footer with a 30 foot unit :-)), you really are a professional driver, and anyone who would let you go would be foolish. I've been looking to get a HGV license but have heard horror stories about the way truck drivers are treated in the UK (not surprised to be honest) but maybe it could be used somewhere else like Norway or Sweden (since I am also looking to go offgrid and live on a Homestead).
Obviously you love your job drivers, I do as wel, but it all comes down to the people you work with and if they are giving you stress and grief, it's time to sayonara.
Glad you for your karma and never let anyone put you do for doing your job, especially these upitty office workers who usually have no idea how the real world works.

If you are every really short of driving work the UK is looking for HGV drivers we have a real shortage since BREXIT and COVID 19 so you would never be short of work even thinking of getting back behind the wheel myself !!!.
Yep cold here I woke up to a heavy frost today the first one here in north Cornwall UK, so chilly dog walk and cold ride out on the motorbike, and yes I to hope the driving improves here we do not have bad enough freezing and snow to have winter tyres to be fitted by law, some swap where it is more likely to have snow and frozen roads more up North the opposite end of the country to me.
I wish you could explain some technical aspects of truck driving. Like how you reverse a truck and trailer around a corner. You are so skilled 👍

So much wisdom, i wish more people would reason like that, work isn't everything! Don't worry about Uploading videos, as said, find a balance between working, TH-cam and relaxing 🙂 . Although I'm a bit further south in Sweden i haven't missed the dark cold winter days with all the salt and on top of that cold sensitive flowers to deliver. 😅
