Way back in 1956, Elvis appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Due to his bumps, grinds, and gyrating hips (the reason he was nack-named "Elvis the Pelvis"), the TV cameras only showed him from the waist up. Elvis was a true entertainer and changed the course of music forever.
I love Elvis Presley! Grew up with my older sister playing music, watching his movies and going to the movie theater to watch Elvis Live from Madison Garden! Been a huge fan all my childhood and my adult life! Never will be another one like the King!! Please listen to American Trilogy Live from Hawaii!! One of my, and so many, favorite songs he performs. You guys will absolutely love it!!
Elvis was so poor as a boy, people wouldn’t let him in their house He lived in extreme poverty. But definitely watch “if I can dream” he sang it after the death of MLK and Bobby Kennedy.
The one and only King of Rock and Roll. Elvis is my number one. He was the best looking man God ever put on this planet. Yes, he was an amazing entertainer. He was from Tupelo Mississippi. His family was dirt poor. When he first made it big, he bought his mother a pink Cadillac. Then he bought Graceland (his home) for his mom. He was kind, caring and humble. He would buy complete strangers new cars. Yes, that’s his real hair. However, he did dye it black. I saw him in concert 3 times, including what would turn out to be his last concert here in Atlanta in 1976. I remember exactly where I was and what I was watching on TV, when he passed away. I was 13. You would have thought I lost a family member. Graceland was opened to the public in 1982. A few months before I married in August. When my husband asked, where I wanted to go for our honeymoon, I immediately said Memphis, so I could see Graceland.
At that time, early 70s, he was the coolest and sexiest guy in town ( Vegas)! Great reaction, thank you! Please react to Patch it up and Suspicious Minds ( same concert). Impressive and fun to watch! Btw he was born in Tupelo/ Missisippi, when he was 13 yrs old the family moved to Memphis/ Tennesse, where he lived till the day he died.
Very nice reaction. Elvis never performed outside the USA except briefly in Canada 1957 so we in the UK never witnessed him live in concert. When I saw the film 'That's The Way It Is' which contained this song in a big London UK cinema in about 1970 the whole audience got up at the end of the film and applauded and cheered for several minutes - just seeing him on film.
I am not surprised and good to hear as he had something indefinably special. Just wish the modern generation would give him a just few minutes of their time.
Elvis was born on the 8 January 1935 in East Tupelo, Mississippi, he moved to Memphis, TN when he was 13 years old and lived there until his death on 16 August 1977, Elvis considered Memphis his home town and its interesting cos Elvis had a Memphian accent, but if you listen to his parents they kept their Mississippi accent.
i was smiling as much at your responses as i was at hearing Elvis again. I believe Elvis enjoyed watching the reactions of his audience, just watch him. Thank you for your videos, keep on keepin' on. Stay safe!
Thank you darling, love your reaction I love watching you ,you have a huge fan here who loves you and thank you for your desire and willingness too be open to and honest about your feelings for the different styles of music and yes I am part of the family. Keep up the great job your doing, forever your fan& friend Brenda C.🌹🌹💖❤️❤️
He was born in Tupelo Mississippi and was dirt poor. He built Graceland, his eventual home, in Memphis,Tennessee. He was known for his generosity to friends and strangers alike. Every year in Memphis there is a week long event around the day he died where thousands of people from all around the world still come to visit. He was one of a kind.
Have you been to Elvis week? It’s on my bucket list for sure. I once lived in Northern Kentucky and once drove down for a Memphis trip. By the time we got there, Graceland was class but I did gawk outside the gates. Twenty years ago.
I lived in Memphis but never made it to Graceland. It is in an area called Whitehaven, close to the airport. I worked for the City of Memphis. Every year we would get an official memo instructing city employees to NOT be overheard referring to this time as "Dead Elvis Week"... yes, this was the locals phrase used and I am not joking. Traffic was always wild, and apparently this term was in use long before I was employed by the city. I worked for the parks commission and visitors were naturally visiting all the local attractions. I dont recall anyone that I knew who was ever reprimanded for this, but it must have happened somewhere for this yearly memo to be official. I did hear the term a lot from some employees, though!
Elvis the Pelvis. HAD...IT....ALLLLL. Voice, looks, personality, acting, a caring/gifted person. A man who came from a destitute background. He was and will always be the GOAT and king. I went to Graceland last year, very cool being in his home.
I grew up in an Elvis fan household and grew up listening to Elvis. My first concert was Elvis in April of 1977. Four months later he was dead. What a loss. If you look back at 50s R&B, you’ll see where he picked up a lot of his moves (I noticed it again last night, watching Jackie Wilson). That, and he incorporated a lot of his karate moves. I highly recommend anything from his ‘68 Come Back Special.
Elvis was born in Tupelo Mississippi, but soon moved to Memphis, Tennessee. His adult house, Graceland, is a tourist attraction. DEFINITELY worth going to. He spent a lot of time in Vegas so that’s why you’ve heard of him. He was not “one the best”. He was, is and will always be THE best❤️
Guys, something you will appreciate-Elvis had a twin brother-yes he was a twin. Unfortunately his brother passed at birth. He said he could feel him with him a lot if the time.
I love this so much. Elvis, the King, is so strung out on drugs here that he at one point forgets his lyrics, and uses a wee note from his pocket. But those moves!
That is a jumpsuit it was one of my favorites...Elvis was a personal friend of mine we got each other he was the best friend i ever had in my life. He didn't judge me and i never ever judged him. At this period of his life he was playing Vegas 2 x a day and his manager was basically spending all the proceeds in the casino.... The writer of this song Tony Joe White is also worth checking out !
No one can say he didn't break the ice when it comes to rock and roll and opened plenty of doors for the singers today but he could sing and very easy on the eyes. So cute.
Your reactions are the best because you are really seeing for the first time! Elvis's moves make you crazy too, huh? 😉 Imagine the effect it had / has on women! It's crazy!😆

Great reaction ! And there is so much more....other sides of Elvis. Check "If I can Dream" if you want to hear passionate raspy singing. It is the ultimate peace and brotherhood song.
You're so damn cute watching Elvis 😍I was born & raised in Memphis so Elvis was a big part of my life. I was in the 5th grade when he died. The whole city shut down. I remember it Iike it was yesterday & it was 1977. Enjoy young man! You make me smile 😁

You are so entertaining in your reaction, you my man are distracting me from Elvis. To funny, I love it. He's drumming and ronnie tutt has to keep up with him till he's done. Dd
It is so cool 2 c ur reaction while watchin’ performers dat u didn’t grow up with. Yet ur urge 2 want 2 watch n’ learn. I was 17 yrs. old when Elvis passed away. Elvis was born in Tupelo Mississippi, in Shake Rag which was a poor African American area. He was so poor, his African American friends like Sam Bell say "we felt sorry for him". At 13yrs old, they moved to Memphis.
He was born in Tupelo Mississippi in 1935 and in the 40's he and his parents moved to Memphis Tennessee, which is where he lived until he died in August 1977.
Elvis is the reason all the stars go to Vegas. He changed that place forever and showed the hotels and casinos you can make a profit on the entertainment. Before him they lost money on the shows but didn't mind because they made up for it in gambling. What your watching is a show in Vegas. Thus the suits. At that time people with money went to Vegas. Elvis brought more regular people in and sold out the shows so he made them a profit and Vegas has never been the same stuffy place again. He grew up dirt poor in tupalo Mississippi and Memphis Tennessee. Elvis had natural rythm so he was right at home in the black and the white churches. Segregation back then. I think growing up with a horrible segregated southern area and living among the poor people of all colors made him the man he became.
No one has ever replaced Elvis and they never will. thank you great reaction.
Elvis '68 comeback tour. Classic!
That right there is why this great man is the king. 💕💕
50 years ago, unbelievable.
The man had everything.
R.I.P. Mr Presley you'll always be the best.
Never forgotten ❤
You said ONE of the best bro, more than that, HE WAS THE KING 👑
The best of all time!!
Elvis always brought it 100% Pure talent and energy. Raw enthusiasm. EVERYONE loved Elvis, all colors, races, everyone. THE KING!
Elvis is from tupelo Mississippi he learned to sing in church and dance and blues from black folks
Man this is awesome... my dad stood in line 8 hours to get tickets to see Elvis in Jackson Ms.. great show
Loved your reaction!! Love me some Elvis for along time now. He was AWESOME in concert. 🥰❤🥰
He is one of the reasons we have the dance moves that we have today. He destroyed boundaries when it came to "proper" dancing....thats one reasons why his hip moves are so famous! Love this song!!!
When he was on Ed Sullivan show, they would only show him from the waist up.
Elvis was Gangsta, nobody could man it up on stage like Elvis. Oozed coolness. Remember, this is 50yrs ago 🤟

Seriously, who can match that? The charisma alone! What a gift he was.
Love how much you appreciate the King!

Elvis was definitely a great singer & entertainer! Love how you recognize how great he was!
Elvis was the greatest!!! I remember him when I was a kid & watched him on TV.
I'm loving your reaction to Elvis as much as his performance!
I LOVE that this kid is vibing with late Elvis... wait until you see early Elvis or '68 Trying to Get to You...
I loved Elvis as kid, watched every single movie, I’ve never seen this! Ty!
Elvis had a 6th degree black belt in kempo karate and he would incorporate it into his act. Yes Elvis was a real bad ass.
He's just as exciting as he's ever been. Long live the King.
Elvis was so poor as a boy, people wouldn’t let him in their house He lived in extreme poverty. But definitely watch “if I can dream” he sang it after the death of MLK and Bobby Kennedy.
Absolutely Elvis' Best Song Ever!! Got to watch the 68' Comeback Special to see him at his Best!
YES GREAT GREAT SONG!
Always moving my heart with his songs
Elvis could sing anything....anyTHING! Nothin’ he couldn’t lay you out flat with! And that was his hair, every last gorgeous strand! The KING rules!
Elvis was the king of rock. He can wear you out watching him. I love his song A Little Less Talk.

The King! He was actually banned from dancing like that on TV and on the Ed Sullivan Show he was only shown from the chest up, lol. Great singer!!
This concert was recorded in Las Vegas. They dressed up for concerts in Vegas back then.
Elvis had to wear jumpsuits, cause he was so physical he kept splitting his pants on stage 🤫 i'm sure the ladies loved it
There were huge stars in that audience! A very high end concert!
Elvis was into karate, and he was in the army, the hut one hut two....but he conducted his band with his moves.
low rider unlike our president he didn’t puss out of military service. Tank crew.
Bruce Lee and Elvis comes to mind always.
So divine
