Hello Paul, Thank you for sharing your beautiful walking experience. Sharing the journey with you in 2024. Such a tranquil environment rich in history...and steps :)
@@pauljones401 Such a beautiful area and the canal so tranquil too. The latest Omaze house is in Prestbury and came looking online to see the area. This is how I found you. May you enjoy many more adventures that people around the world can see and enjoy the beauty of the country we live in.. It is therapeutic watching from the sofa. :)
Paul, thank you so much for this video. I have tears in my eyes with missing Bollington. I've moved back to Canada, but now that I'm retired, would love to move back 🇬🇧 again.
I’ve driven people who live there to tears no joke when I explain the special nature of the area. Can’t remember if I say it in the film but I did volunteer ranger work in late 80’s and how I got to respect the area. Fabulous place 100% and have a root through my back catalogue as I’m sure you’ll find more familiar places
Hi Paul. Just found this walk. My daughter lives in Macclesfield and we are both runners. I have often run along the Middlewood Way and the Macclesfield Canal (in fact I filmed it a week ago, once alone and once with my daughter). Although I have run up to White Nancy, I have never actually done the run through Kerridge that you show, I have always just run under bridge 28. This run is a must for me next time I am in Macc. Thanks again. Subscribed.
Thank you for saying hi! Genuinely it was almost quite moving at times this, even though I live not far from it I came at it from a different angle. Just beautiful. Thank you for subscribing too, my lockdown walks playlist go to many great local places to Macclesfield. P
Hi Paul that was a lovely walk mate it had a Canal a Beautiful Village it had history and fantastic views and that gets a 👍 from me atb mate cheers Glenn
Glenn’s Walks Hi Glenn! Was a few weeks ago now. The physio calls yet again, I’m a bit knackered now! But whenever I can try and get I do! Just not at the moment and I’ve got to make sure I can do my job firstly so we’ll see. The very best to you! Paul
Thank you! Occasionally I get a really good idea for somewhere to go. This on the other hand was off the scale. It was an amazing place!!! All the best Paul
That was lovely, thank you - a revisit of childhood haunts where we would take ourselves off for the day on an 'expedition' from Higher Poynton where we lived, self, my two siblings and friends. On one such occasion my mum called the local bobby out as by 10pm we still had not returned home - well, such fun, summer days, turn to long evenings and we got absorbed with our adventures :-D ......I am so thankful I had my childhood back then and in such an area :-)
Did my work experience in the 80’s from bollington as a ranger but unfortunately accidents conspired to not allow me the physicality to follow it through. Take it you’re not around here anymore but a privilege to show how lovely it is. Paul
So sorry to hear you were not able to follow through on the chosen career, but then, if you had, you may not be creating videos such as these that bring so much pleasure to others. Our little life experience here is full of twists and turns with our plans going awry, but often there is a greater reason for. No not been in the area for nigh on 19 years, but planning on heading back :-)
@@raiseyourworld5324 it was car crashes. But that’s lovely what you wrote and yep you’re right. It’s about getting as many as possible out there! If you film send me the video of what you achieve! Paul
@@pauljones401 Oh gosh! So sorry to hear that 😞 No, I don't film.....but I do paint, which is how I come to appreciate your skill with light, shade, form etc :-)
@@raiseyourworld5324 I’ve got shaky hands so that medium is out for me! It’s the colours and moments put in front of me which is why I simply video. There aren’t too many filters in this medium. Be grateful if you subscribe as I hope to put up some more great views.
nice views

Much obliged thank you. It really was somewhere I’d neglected and was so thrilled at the time to have a genuine adventure not far from home. Paul
