I've only an iphone that I film with, but this is just a simple way of showing some of the things I come across. I’ve had a couple of bad car crashes that have affected how well I can walk. However I am aware many people aren’t as lucky as me and can’t get out so I try and bring folks along with me even if I’m a bit rubbish at this too! All for fun and I hope you enjoy some great places and spaces, some of which you might never consider!!

Superb Paul - the place is simple awe-inspiring in the truest sense. 3 hours to the top - pretty good weather too. Sorry to hear about the caravan and hey the car crashes. That had to be healing though. All the best. Mark

Great video that brought back lots of memories. I lived on that beautiful little gem of an island for nine years - happiest days of my life.( fionnphort pronounced 'fin. . ah. . fit'. Erraid pronounced 'air ..rid' ). If you sat on the little wooden bench in the Observatory (shore station) then you're welcome. I built it. There used to be a brass telescope in their which when looking through the centre panels in both windows, and the metal ring on a post outside, would line you up with Skerryvore and Dhuheartach lighthouses. It was an observation point that allowed the lighthouse builders to see what the water was like over the rock. Plus in the early days before the radio, it was the only means of communication with the lighthouses. :)
@@justahappygardener it was always overcast at night when I was there. But even only being there 5 days was absolutely amazing and I did get a lot from Iona too. Better than my visits to Jerusalem and I’ve been there 3 times. A serenity I hope to share with people again in the future. Cheers for notes on pronunciation! Paul

What a lovely video, Paul. Thank you SO much for uploading. We have had several wonderful holidays in Grange and at Kents Bank and this certainly brings back the memories. By the way, Arnside was once the junction for another railway line across to Hincaster Junction on the West Coast Main Line. It followed the banks of the Kent for some miles with stations at Sandside and at Heversham. What a journey that would have been!
@@stuarthall6631 great to hear you enjoyed it. A fantastic day for about £4.50 and I absolutely love this area myself and hope to go back. I found the railway it’s on another fun and was stunning as you could see ospreys!!! All the best Paul
