Hello, another great informative video from your end. Couple of questions, isn't this also called the hybrid bar? It's under hybrid on their website. How's the whip compared to the upper end eleikos like the training and comp bars? Thanks for your response.
I have the power lock barbell too you should break it out and give it a whirl. I picked it up used with collars for $500 which doesn't sound that great but the retail on that one is insane especially when adding the collars... If not mistaken it's their most expensive bar if you add collars
You seem to know a thing or two about barbells and so i thought i'd ask you something. I myself am looking for a high-quality barbell for my home gym. DISCLAIMER: i am not an experienced weightlifter or crossfitter - i am just a fitness amateur who'd like to perform squats, deadlifts and olympic lifts at home for his personal training. I am looking at Eleiko bars but they are pretty expensive. Rogue has a ton of bars and, honestly, it's a little bit overwhelming: can't really make up one's mind as to which barbell is the right barbell. I've also looked at some barbells by Gymleco, Werksan and Uesaka. I also need a starter set of bumper plates - anything from 90 up to 140 kg. Any suggestions / recommendations? Thanks ;-)
@@AMRAP Thanks. Are they similar bars, as in you would use them for oly lifting intensive wods?Or would you prefer the eleiko for certain wods and the california bar for others?
@@ronaldcher-i8b similar in use for oly and CrossFit, eleiko is the better bar for oly but I don't know if it's 2x better like the price. California bar is very nice, but doesn't spin as well (slightly better to bench) and if you cared, the knurling is lighter (which I prefer)

I do CF and i really like PL movements....i bought this bar new and i really enjoy the bar it works well for a variety of movements IMO....nice vid!

Great find! Wish you didn't edit out dropping the bar - would've liked to hear the bounce of that bar combined with fluffy xf plates

How do you like this compared to the california bar?
It’s better, but for the money I think the California bar is probably the better buy.
