To be fair, she did win an Oscar more for her singing performance than her acting. And she was celebrated for a couple years. I personally just feel like she doesn't make popular music so she's underrated.
I would argue that JHud, is more a working performer than singer. This is why she can jump from not winning American Idol (just as well) to winning an Oscar, to performing on Broadway, to doing award shows and being the head of JHud Productions on the Voice UK and USA. Of all those things, I find her Voice appearances the most valuable - she is the only one on those shows that actually provided coaching on the spot - for voice, be it singing voice or public speaking. Brilliant.

I would argue that JHud, is more a working performer than singer. This is why she can jump from not winning American Idol (just as well) to winning an Oscar, to performing on Broadway, to doing award shows and being the head of JHud Productions on the Voice UK and USA.
Of all those things, I find her Voice appearances the most valuable - she is the only one on those shows that actually provided coaching on the spot - for voice, be it singing voice or public speaking. Brilliant.

I love James to pieces and watch this show every night after Jimmy Fallon lol I've watched 'A league of their own' and 'Celebrity Juice' on youtube and laughed just as hard as I do when SNL is funny or 'Modern Family'. I just don't understand when people say "British" humor vs "American" humor. Monty Python was/is very popular here just as Friends was/is well received in the UK cause funny is funny. I don't get the difference besides some British comedics being a bit dry but same can be said for some US comedians. Sorry for the rambling lol I've just seen many people from the UK in the comments sections concerned or surprised James is a hit here and I'm confused as to why? He's darn funny and a pleasure to stay up "late late" to watch :))
***** James went off the rails about 6 years ago and became a bit unbearable. Very big headed and full of himself. It was just a temporary wobble and his friends and family got him back on track but a lot of Brits have never been able to quite forgive him for it. It is a shame because he earned his success and learned his lesson when it came to the fame side of things.
