Vivaldi's Music is Perfection. I used to listen to it since my very young age and now I'm 44 , it nevers gets old, a pure genious , with notes touching every part of your being , his music is out of time! It gives me always the same welfare. Long Life to a Master who's still alive today.
if you listen the different seasons and you go out during the one he plays you will see also that he is a painter! Drawing the Nature with notes... it haven't been achieved from somebody else!
My uncle, who died away many years ago, published this music video. The fact that this video has received millions of views is astounding. This, I suppose, is one of his legacies: allowing people all around the world to enjoy this beautiful piece of music. Vivaldi's Four Seasons are all fantastic. However, I believe Winter stands out because of the contrast between the stinging and urgent first movement and the smoothness of the tranquil second movement. This gem is one that could be listened to every day.
I've always wondered about the video. I love the art direction. I wish they'd made more! In the winter of 2023, this clip has 69 million views. That is an achievement worthy of legacy. Bravo to your dear & departed uncle.
Cocktailkatze you really don't know nothing about industrial culture, besides Beatles lol cmon go study Frank Zappa, things like that. Jazz is modern music too, how can you don't that, we'll if you are talking about today's music, there is a plenty of artists out there, but the majority of them are focused on working with rock or electronic musical, these genres can be really experimental too, actually rock, jazz, hip hop and electronic music in general gave us more innovations in música than any other genre (classical musical) in the past a hundred years.
I love this video. It does justice to the culture and mythological influence Venice where Vivaldi as born. “Winter” is my favorite part of “The Four Seasons” as well my fave time of year. Fully composed 301 years ago (1723), its relevance to our connection with nature and the emotion his vision is still evoking are testament to his genius.
"Anyone with enough sheet reading knowledge can play it" bullshit. Having enough sheet reading knowledge means you can, surprisingly, read it. It's like a tonguetwister, reading it has nothing to do with saying it out loud. Playing it well is surely the next step, but managing to play it all is still a great achievement
SteviaCookies, That’s what I said... If you can read sheet music, you can “play it”, in that you can play the notes, not at the right tempo, and you would probably be very off pitch. Probably it would be very hard to guess that it’s the correct song. I never said that you “could play it correctly”
This extraordinary music was considered to be very radical in it's time (1720s) the art of telling stories without words using amazing musical techniques that have a language of their own - absolutely beautiful!
As well as Beethoven's 5th symphony. I kinda feel that he (Beethoven) tells an history about love and regretting. At least, that's what i think. *Note: Both Vivaldi And Beethoven are (were) amazing songwriters.*

Venetian Masks are so deep: Their art is amazing. I'm Venetian and for us Mask and Carnival are a very ancient tradition as the design of the masks, they are all handmade and the technique has been kept though centuries has passed away. The tradition of handmade has its origin in the old and great Venetian Republic, which history is still a proud for all Venetian people. We preserve all the tradition of this great republic like these masks. They could of course scare because they all embrace a single human feeling. I think that's because we recognize them as our true nature: our feelings. An Italian clever author, Luigi Pirandello, once said that our life is such a theater's sketch, a mask's play. Every day, in every situations we dress a different mask (for family, friends, job etc). Masks have a strong relationship with our true nature: so seeing many of them for example during the Carnival of Venice could really hit our soul, our memory, some of them could scary us, some of them are very hard to forget. The word "Person" comes from the latin term "Personam" which comes from an Etruscan word "Persuna". That term, along with the Greek Prosopon, both means the mask used by the actors in ancient times (it means "Masked man" in Etruscan). That's make thinking a lot.. I hope you all enjoy master Vivaldi's music!

January 2023: Have just made it halfway thru a Canadian winter .... With this playing at high volume, am invigorated by the genius of this presentation; how they have captured the essence of winter ... the composer, the musicians the costume makers and costume wearers.
Over an hour ago, I walk into my room and put on some classical music and this is the exact song I want to hear, but I can't remember the name of this piece so I just put on whatever and left the room so I could hear the music while feeding the dogs.......over an hour goes by and I come in and sit down and as soon as I sat down, this piece came on....the exact one I wanted in the beginning
the best I ve heard/seen so far...the guy was genius....he painted the feelings, colors and pictures/moves with ease..I havent seen such so far...in the winter I hear the piece and see the outside picture...in a way way harmonic that it was before..as if the winter was meant to be so....see the snowflake there....IT IS BEAUTIFUL.....and the chimneys... :')..do as me listen - winter in the winter, summer in the summer, spring in the spring...it is crazy...........everything with its time.....beatiful and genius....

Best performance of all on yt, Vivaldi as it should be, and all that on the squares of Venice, bella Serenissima. Played by italians, best masters of all, fascinating and solely. After this, all other versons seem to be incomplete, or not adecvate.
Ave, Vivaldi.
My father bestowed this to me when we were living in Korea. I will never forget listening to this every day and retaining the most sacred nostalgic memory with my parents. This piece is a masterpiece I will never venture to dream of neglecting.

The fact that they honored Vivaldi through his hometown Venice by showing the city and culture itself. I would love to visit this beautiful city one day
Better do it soon 😢
Bring plenty of cash, it's one of Europe's most expensive cities
Vivaldi is the heavy metal from his age hahaha
Totally agree!
+Josy Pam Yeah !!!
+Gabriel Cidade He's litterally the Yngwie Malmsteen of his day.
Do you even heard Jahreszeiten of Nargaroth? It's a black metal album with the similar purpose of Vivaldi in Four Seasons. Hope you enjoy.
+Raimondi M. hell ya men such an interesting album. The first song sounds so cartoony and happy lol also i find it interesting how the comment sections on classical videos always have a bunch of metal fans in them; especially black metal
Happy to be alive to witness this piece of ART
Traveled to Venice recently and watched a live performance of this beautiful composition, I actually cried! Literally my fave city in the world now.
Venice is my favorite too. I hope the flooding receded.
6.2k dislikes. What part of this absolute masterpiece or the interpretation in itself can people possibly dislike????

Perfect Violin soloist
Every year I come to experience this wonderful sound with the dreams of being able to see this in person. Simply wonderful
The melody and beauty of this music do not fade and deteriorate no matter how many years pass, this song will live for an unlimited time...
This version is my all time favorite.
it’s so clean

Perfect composition to listen to while walking around the fascinating city of Venice!
Esta es la definición de Arte.
Sin especulación, sin subjetividad.
Still in love with Vivaldi's music, played perfectly by you! Thank you!
For the entirety of my undergrad and now in my masters studies..... i basically just listen to this on repeat to study and write papers. I'm genuinely obsessed with the video and love all the outfits and scenery so much
bravo!!
Performance sensacional! Essa obra de Vivaldi é muito Linda!
Wow
When people says "I love winter", I use to think about this melody :D
I can’t downplay how extravagant and extraordinary this is simultaneously 💪☝️👍🙏
This work has always been in a corner of my life. Thanks Vivaldi.

Venice is the most Beautiful City in the World and Baroque Music is as equally enchanting,
I like this video so much.... So much creativity and hard work in those masks and customes. But the music is otherworldly, superb.
Vai se passar
300 anos
400 anos
1.000 anos
2.000 anos
10.000 anos
E a Winter vai continuar sendo linda
good point 🙏

I don't think the world will be around in 10,000 years.
Over an hour ago, I walk into my room and put on some classical music and this is the exact song I want to hear, but I can't remember the name of this piece so I just put on whatever and left the room so I could hear the music while feeding the dogs.......over an hour goes by and I come in and sit down and as soon as I sat down, this piece came on....the exact one I wanted in the beginning
you ll love this video then, the true meaning of the four seasons th-cam.com/video/zt7m5hgcPjo/w-d-xo.html enjoy!!!

the best I ve heard/seen so far...the guy was genius....he painted the feelings, colors and pictures/moves with ease..I havent seen such so far...in the winter I hear the piece and see the outside picture...in a way way harmonic that it was before..as if the winter was meant to be so....see the snowflake there....IT IS BEAUTIFUL.....and the chimneys... :')..do as me listen - winter in the winter, summer in the summer, spring in the spring...it is crazy...........everything with its time.....beatiful and genius....
Mersi 👏 Vivaldi👏❤️
Best performance of all on yt, Vivaldi as it should be, and all that on the squares of Venice, bella Serenissima. Played by italians, best masters of all, fascinating and solely. After this, all other versons seem to be incomplete, or not adecvate.
People around the world can finally listen that masterpiece thanks your uncle,ty sir!
Ave, Vivaldi.

What's your favorite season? Vivaldi's winter season

I think I like Winter the best. Yesterday-March 4-was Vivaldi's Birthday! Thanks for this lovely video.
.......................4 march is my birthday vivaldi stole it
And after 298 years this is a capodopera in music, forever and ever!❤
My father bestowed this to me when we were living in Korea. I will never forget listening to this every day and retaining the most sacred nostalgic memory with my parents. This piece is a masterpiece I will never venture to dream of neglecting.
