PANT, PANT - worked very hard on this, and it's not perfect, but it's quite a jam and it's all live: piano (digital, but live), drums, whistles x3, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar (no video) and Hammond organ (digital, but live, no video). I have only recently been seeing your work as of the music of Xenoblade Chronicles vol. 1 and have loved your content and analysis of the VGM. This is by far my favorite game of all time. From the story to the music it’s the best in the series since 1. But this is by far one of the best if not the best cover I have heard yet. I'm kidding ofc. I'm very thankful for the livestreams you've done and your interest in reviewing different osts, whether it be personal favs or ones suggested by fans.
I love how you translate the same instruments into different styles like Celtic and Xeno's (idk what to call its style except for by its name), and I loved how you used the tin whistle to cover the part played by the Shinobou.
I think the flutes sound remarkably similar actually!
Also: whether I'll be doing more Xenoblade kinda depends on how this piece goes down in Algorithm Town. Would love to do more but it has to be worthwhile for the channel!

I used to be like you. I don't regret any second of any of my playthroughs of the Xenoblade series. (and, also, this soundtrack countains 256 songs if you take into account the alternate versions and shorty versions) I mean, the creators of that saga are literally the ones that created BOTW's map and the ones that created Skyward Sword story. They also helped out for Splatoon 1, 2 and 3 graphics and for Animal Crossing New Horizon
@@christinedelire3974 Those are compelling reasons to play. I am a bit constrained by my dadly duties, so i have to be really choosy with my free time, especially with everyone sick all the time. Currently I'm putting my rare videogame minutes into Atelier Ryza, which is the coziest, most slow-burn slice-of-life jRPG-type thing I've ever played. There's something fantastic about playing a game where you AREN'T responsible for saving the world, just being helpful and caring about your friends and community. I think i understand farming sims now.
Also Tim, if you're reading, there are worse games to check out for soundtracks etc, especially if you want to go full-cozy-mode. it's simple, wistful, and a bit melancholy in a "youth is amazing and special and I must now enjoy it vicariously" kind of way.

Can't hurt to try, you could leave out a few of the double octaves (mainly left hand, focus on bottom note) and second/third voices (right hand, focus on top note).
