When you do watch the Kenshiro fight, he's the main character from the 1980s anime/manga "Fist of the North Star." Fist of the North Star (1983) is a Shonen Jump staple predating the Dragon Ball manga (1984). Fist of the North Star inflenced the creation of JoJo: Bizarre Adventure and Berserk. Early JoJo's artstyle was influenced by the strong muscular characters of Fist of the North Star. Fist of the North Star takes inspiration from the Mad Max movie series, with Kenshiro being modeled off of Mel Gibson's character Max from the movie.
The first clip is from an anime called "Yu Yu Hakisho", which was incredibly influential. Lanipater actually worked on an abridged version of it before TFS even formed. He recently did a reaction/commentary to his old videos on his old channel.
YuYu Hakusho is such a great classic. It's got my personal favorite main cast from any series. The Lord of the Rings cast is a very close second at least, or perhaps a tie.
I seen yu yu Hakusho is really good I love it it feels like most people don't know this show but I seen it 4 times the hole show I'm probably going to I plan on watching it again maybe sometime my favorite character ship is kurama x hihe I don't know how to spell his name but you know what I mean ❤ x 🖤 and probably going to check out oran hiscool host club soon too
28:45 out of all of the things that Duck is uncultured about, I believe this is the very thing that Made Kirby think even for a brief second, "How the f*ck are we friends!?" You can tell from that look she gave him and it's hilarious.
For context, the "there's nothing cooler than being hugged by someone you like" bit is a reference to one of the 90's Sonic cartoons. It had different morals at the end of each episode, some of which addressed... unexpected issues for children's media. That line was the start of one moral saying to speak up in case of bad touches.
24:09 That was Meruem from Hunter X Hunter. I guess he is kind of like their version of Cell. He is a chimera ant, a creature that takes the traits of those it eats and passes them on to their children. There were a lot of hybrid monsters for that arc.
Before he did DBZA, Nick did Yu Yu Hakusho abridged on his own channel and what's funny is it's suddenly back on everyone's radar this past 24 hours due to Netflix releasing a ton of trailers, including one for the live-action adaptation of this anime. I find it weird in this video has Duck knowing pop culture more than Kirby.
Yusuke is from Yu Yu Hakusho which is an AMAZING anime. Its one of the first animes to be introduced to the US alongside Dragonball Z and is a top tier anime with hands down the best tournament arc in anime
I mean. Those werent the first animes introduced to the US, but they weee the first ones to really gain recognition and popularity alongside Sailor Moon
7:50 I don't remember the name of the attack, but in the Street Fighter games that's pretty much how it looks; Dark Ryu or Akuma would move towards the enemy, the game would cut to black and you hear a bunch of random punches, then Dark Ryu or Akuma would pose like Cell did. Cell's "WHAT JUST HAPPENED" is a reference to how fans still don't know wtf happens during that attack.
sorry for how late this is, but Raging Demon is what you wanted; and it's super satisfying to land but to input as well (its like Light Punch Light Punch, forward Light Kick, High Punch as fast as you can.)
Xander Mobus, the Deadpool from this one, is kind of a voice acting legend these days. It’s easier to list what he hasn’t done, what with being the protagonist of Persona 5, the Southern accent take on Rufus Shinra from FF7 Machinabridged (if you remember that, I still look fondly on the ludicrous comment streak from those days) and- oh right, I almost forgot- THE ANNOUNCER OF FUCKING MODERN SMASH BROS
The GS ball was originally a mysterious ball that couldnt be opened. It was gunna have Celebi the time traveling pokemon in it, but then they had the Celebi movie come out so they didnt do it. So after they spent tons of episodes carrying around this mysterious pokeball and had lots of situations around it, they deliver it to a resercher and they never talk about it again. So this great mystery was never resolved.
Which is still a really stupid reason to have not resolved it. Especially for people who perhaps didn't have the chance, or simply don't watch the movies at all. Hell, it was probably several years later before I finally saw the Celebi movie myself, simply because I didn't have the opportunity to watch it for a long time.
Gotta love the little detail that Yugi teaching cell how to duel took so long it wasn’t until nighttime that they were able to begin! And then cell kills the mood with the tournament rules!
05:40 The Egyptian God Cards (Winged Dragon of Ra, Obelisk the Tormentor, and Sky Dragon of Osiris) are banned from tournament use. The Æsir/Polar God Cards (Odin, Thor and Loki) from _5Ds,_ however, are neither banned from nor restricted in tournament play.
The first "fight" is Yusuke Urameshi and Kazuma Kuabara from YuYu Hakusho. Lani is a big fan of YuYu Hakusho and did an abridged version of it a long time ago, the original dub actually holds up and is one my personal favorites.
8:06 that is DasBoShitt, he animated the 3D cell vs. videos. He used to do a series of Gmod videos back in the day called the Gmod idiot Box. He also helped a guy called Antone Delak with a series called Gorgeous Freeman, which is pretty funny but still awaiting a continuation.
24:10 "No idea what that is" That was the picture of one of the best written villains in anime. You might want to watch Hunter x Hunter. It's a gem. That character is shamelessly a rip off of Cell's design for the looks (I think it was done intentionally too) but the plot surrounding him is something else ENTIRELY. Very deep. Even his name holds meaning, which is why I won't be saying it here, incase you decide to pick up the series. Wouldn't want to spoil it.
Ah you need to watch the YYH dub. The voices for Yusuke and Kuwabara are absolute perfection here... and fun fact.... Kuwabara's sword can cut through dimensions. Canonically. It's a bit of an absurd power lol. If you liked the character dynamics.... that's exactly what they're like in the show itself.
The Cell picture that wasn't cell is from the anime HunterxHunter and the anime is really good. Made by the guy that made Yu Yu Hakisho. Yusuke from the first vs was the main character.
The first short features an amazing 90s anime called Yu Yu Hakusho. Yusuke Urameshi works as a detective that battles demons and bad humans with his friend/rival Kazuma Kuwabara. Saying anything further would be spoilers, but it has one of the best English dubs in existence. If you watch it, I highly suggest you do so in the dub, it's hilarious and all the VAs kill in their roles.
"one of the best English dubs in existence" You can tell that, partway through the first episode, the voice actors said "you know, maybe we should play loose with the dialogue, just say what feels natural for the characters". And it really pays off. Here's an example. At the end of the first episode, when Yusuke is asking Botan (I paraphrase), "has there ever been something you didn't realize, that was obvious to everyone else?" ... that whole exchange is nothing like the Japanese version, where Yusuke simply agrees to do the thing. But having Yusuke ask it like that, it just feels so much more natural.
Excellent timing, as the Yu Yu Hakusho live action Netflix show was just teased today and...I might actually check it out. (That's what the first video is) "You have seen Yu-Gi-Oh, right?" Behold! A moment where Duck gets to make that face instead of Kirby!
I dare the two of you to watch the first episode of "YuYu Hakusho", and record the reaction. Then decide whether you want to do the rest of the series.
24:09 "No idea what that is." That's [a character] from Hunter x Hunter. The creator admitted that Cell was an inspiration for him. The design is always quite obvious, as he has a stabby tail and is bug-like
The first Cell vs video featured Yusuke and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho. It’s an old school anime that procedes DB (it debuted in the 90s) and is an absolute gem. 2:16 The guy in the ring voiced by Lani is Yusuke Urameshi from YuYu Hakusho, which I just found out is getting a live action adaptation. The guy outside the ring is Kazuma Kuwabara, who used to challenge Yusuke to fights daily, the only local guy to still do that, and was one of the few people to mourn him. He is also able to sense ghosts.
The picture that Deadpool is holding is cell from hunter x hunter (great anime) funnily enough it was created by the same author as yu yu hakusho (the two boys from the first one you watched) which is also pretty amazing
i know this is 8 months ago but kudos on having a duel disk system, and i love that you BOTH cringed after you said it lmao. Also, Yusuke and Kuwabara are from Yu Yu Hakusho, one of the best, and my personal favorite, anime dubs of all time. Best Shonen, too. you should take a gander at it and hell, maybe you might wanna react to it.
Just some fun facts. The Master Ball actually has a 1/65,536 chance of failing to catch a Pokemon. Also, Deadpool actually doesn't care for chimichangas, he just likes to say the word.
Should probably clarify that this is _only_ likely in the first generation of Pokémon games, if that. Later generations the formula for catching ensures that Master Balls will always work, and even later generations just bypass the catch rate entirely and make it an automatic catch.
The part where deadpool brings out the picture of "Cell" is a character by the name Meruem from the anime Hunter X Hunter and its really good. The unfortunate part is its been on hetius for a long time on/ off and such. One of my favorite animes for a good while now.
But is there a reason why the photo was of that character? Like, does Meruem have any sort of characteristics that would make it a joke to mistake Cell for him?
The episodes of street fighter and sonic and Deadpool wad assisted by the guy who made the gmod idiot box series which you should totally check out its hilarious.
The reason Taka didn't get the role of Deadpool is because they do their best to not have people talking to themselves. Nick obviously does it fairly often toward the end(voicing both Piccolo and Vegeta) but they do their best not to cast that way when they can.
So the kenshiro fight is *technically* a spoiler but not a big one. So semi spoiler below. The fight shows cell getting his top half blown up and him rejuvenating. You're not technically supposed to know he can do that yet. It's not really a big spoiler though since it's not like they don't show cell getting a bunch of other damage in the Deadpool one.
It’s a small visual moment, but it maximizes the comedy and storytelling of a future episode if Kirby’s first impression comes from the episode itself instead of the vs vid
1. YuYu Hakusho (Abridged by Lanipator) 2. Yu-Gi-Oh (Abridged by Little Kuriboh) 3. Street Fighter (???) 4. Sonic (???) 5. Death Note (???) 6. One Punch Man (???) 7. Pokemon (Abridged by Elite 3) 8. Pokemon (Abridged by 1KidsEntertainment) 9. Deadpool 10. King of the Hill 11. Fist of the North Star (???) (???) If all those have abridges I have some catching up to do.
I look at you not knowing who DasBoSchitt is the same way you look at Kirby for not knowing Yu-Gi-Oh ;P He was the one who truly kicked off Gmod machinima as a genre with his Gmod Idiot Box series almost 15 years ago, and inspired many great video game parody animators to start their own thing and evolve internet parody culture as a whole. He is pretty much the same thing to machinima as Little Kuriboh is to anime abridging.
"Wasn't in the budget" (re Ryu's attack) No that's how that attack always looks. Team Rocket could probably survive the end of the planet honestly given how durable they are. Fun fact--the most commonly discussed opponent for them if they were to appear in Death Battle is the Pilaf Gang from Dragon Ball! Xander Mobus, their Deadpool, is also Jimmy Firecracker. And many, MANY others, like Joker from Persona 5, the announcer/Master Hand from Smash Bros, and my personal favorite, Stocke from Radiant Historia (you would not have heard of this game it is rather obscure unless you're a JRPG fan). Oh one thing--before you react to the Scooby Doo vs Courage Death Battle, know that the ending summation spoils a battle from years ago so go watch Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro first.
You should absolutely check out YuGiOh abridged together! It starts off low quality, but it’s one of the first big abridged series. It’s done by LittleKuriboh, who voices Frieza in DBZ Abridged.
Scott doesnt watch full reaction series, he just checks out the highlights. Prob why you haven't seen him around here. I dont think he comments often either.
Her reactions to both the Bobby Hill kick, and to Cell going "is that @#&*ing FREEZA?!", were pure serotonin. XD

It had different morals at the end of each episode, some of which addressed... unexpected issues for children's media. That line was the start of one moral saying to speak up in case of bad touches.
It’s hard to pick a single favorite but Cell being such a perfectionist that he makes Yugio rage quit is definitely up there

The episodes of street fighter and sonic and Deadpool wad assisted by the guy who made the gmod idiot box series which you should totally check out its hilarious.
I think Kirby needs to be introduced to one punch man....and 40k
My fav is the kenshiro one, which isnt in this one, but out of these ones its prolly bobby hill
That’s a first, duck has seen yugio but Kirby hasn’t. Usually Kirby is shocked by what you haven’t seen lmao
The reason Taka didn't get the role of Deadpool is because they do their best to not have people talking to themselves. Nick obviously does it fairly often toward the end(voicing both Piccolo and Vegeta) but they do their best not to cast that way when they can.

X3 is the third X-Men movie.
Certain youtuber powerscaled that Yusuke COULD destroy the planet
Not gonna lie, for a moment I thought you somehow found a video for Cell vs Kirby as in the character.
Oh My Fucking God that was good! I laughed way too hard for the Bobby Hill one cause I had never seen it before today! Thank you guys!
DasBoSchitt made a series called "Gmod Idiot Box". It's great crud posting, the last episode was 8 years ago.
Jay Spradley, huge respect for delaying the vs Kenshiro in the playlist. That’s attention to detail right there.
That one have spoilers?
@@PandamoniumBruu No, no it doesn't. There's no reason to put it after a certain future Episode.
It’s a small visual moment, but it maximizes the comedy and storytelling of a future episode if Kirby’s first impression comes from the episode itself instead of the vs vid

Somehow answered on a video 3 days ago I'm watching late lol
0:45 - Im happy for you !
I look at you not knowing who DasBoSchitt is the same way you look at Kirby for not knowing Yu-Gi-Oh ;P
He was the one who truly kicked off Gmod machinima as a genre with his Gmod Idiot Box series almost 15 years ago, and inspired many great video game parody animators to start their own thing and evolve internet parody culture as a whole.
Ummmmm... he already watched both Death Battles.
@@fireball1249 ah ok my memory is weak today apparently
Let's be honest, Team Rocket vs. Pilaf Gang would somehow end up with _both_ of them losing.
@@brolytriplethreat I don't think either of them could actually kill the other though.
@@BJGvideos they'd both end up defeated somehow because that's just how it works.
god cards aren't banned but they are at this point laughably weak for what they cost
Yusuke is from an rather old anime called yu yu hakusho came out in the 90s i believe was a great show tho
The pic that deadpool showed is merumim from hunter x hunter
you miss the best one out of all of them FRIST OF THE NORTH STAR
You should absolutely check out YuGiOh abridged together! It starts off low quality, but it’s one of the first big abridged series. It’s done by LittleKuriboh, who voices Frieza in DBZ Abridged.
Since you showed her the TFS Cell Vs. videos, I gotta ask, do you plan on showing her Devil Artemis?
Absolutely that’s always been the plan
Do you plan to show her cell vs kenshiro after episode 59? It was a good one
Pot of Greed allows you to draw 2 cards! Busted.
Scott doesnt watch full reaction series, he just checks out the highlights. Prob why you haven't seen him around here. I dont think he comments often either.
In the real life Yu-Gi-Oh card game, the god cards are not banned. They are just so bad that nobody ever plays them competitively.
