I replaced my halogens with the Rough Country projector LEDs on my '22 Gladiator; 200% improvement!

I also have the Elite Max headlights. I love them. The amber feature looks great in person. Videos don’t do it justice tbh
It really doesn't do them justice, they also are timed perfectly with the turn signal!
I'm gonna get these.. Sometime. I really hope they come out with a fender turn signal light to complement the headlights. Coming from halogen would be really nice. Also will most likely roll with amber lights, I really like amber more than the white.

@@DIRTROADCRED finally got them installed on the Gladiator. they look so good (still need to wire up the turn signal functionality. feel like I may have to pull the fenders off to do that a bit easier since i'm kinda short

Lights are a tough one for me. My Gladiator came with the factory LEDs. And seeing as I am behind the steering wheel when they're on, it's hard to give much thought to what they look like. If they light up what's in front of me, that's all I really care about. It's really hard to want to spend so much coin on new lights when it's such a slight upgrade.
Biggest upgrade are the DOT turn signals for me, I'll more than likely be doing a fender chop and that will save me 400+ on the built in light options.
I think the selectable White & Amber DRL is my favorite feature - Great Overview!

Just got my JL on Friday. I had DD lights on my 4th gen 4runner and loved them. Stoked to see they have these. But do they make tails light, 3rd brake lights and fender lights💁♂️
Received my Elite Max last week. Still waiting for an opportunity to install them.

Those are super nice and give you options to play with, with that being said If I didn't purchase the LED package on my gladiator id definitely buy these but my LED's work great and weren't cheap. If you have the halogens buy them

Cool lights but if I am turning onto a dark unfamiliar road I am concerned that the light goes on and off with the turn signal and I can't see where I'm turning on to. Did you test that and is it an issue? I had a car in the past where the headlights turned towards my left or right and that was awesome.
The headlight itself doesn't go out, just the ring and the DRL bars change to amber.
They don't make for JK sadly but message them they replied back saying they look into possible future may or may not add them . I'm hoping so cause I watch the live when introduced these . These are sick 🤩 ❤️ .

Thank you for the video. I have purchased these lights and have an install question that customer service could not answer. On the passenger side did you need to remove the inner fender liner to locate the factory connector below the battery in order to connect the new headlight wires. I am not able to locate that connection from below. I have a 23 Wrangler Rubicon with the 3.6 engine.
I didn’t have to, the only thing I had to do was remove one 10mm bolt on the upper part of the liner, and then turn the tire toward the passenger side, it was tricky but can be done
Might get rid of my oracles for these mainly to get rid of the fender turn signals
I've been looking at fender chops and can't justify spending 400 plus for the lighted options when motobilt has them for 100 with no lights and I can use these headlights!
I’m running the halogen, but I am seriously seriously considering getting the elites
They're worth it!
I installed them yesterday, missing the adjustment key and no switch. $800 you think a heat shrink tube could be included in the kit. You can install without taking out the fenders . Take out the air cleaner and battery.driver's side nothing needed go be removed. When installing the passenger side, the black box is in the way so install light before the air cleaner it's a tight fit.
I like factory LEDs as well. Those diodes are too busy looking for my taste. I have the Oracle Oculus, very similar to the factory LEDs but a bit brighter.
Can’t go wrong with Oracle!
Is there any other things that need to be done to go LED from factory Halogen or are these just plug and play
Stock LEDs. Interested in amber rear LED turn signals/hazard flashers instead of red. Red is fine for brakes and night lights.
That would be interesting, I believe the EURO set up JL has that!
@@DIRTROADCRED Understand amber rear LED turn signals are required by law in many countries. Surprised Mopar doesn't offer them to the USA market.
Hey I did same thing, not hooking up that wire for the off road lights...and now turn signals not working, is that why?

Why did the headlight go out when the turn signals came on? Am i missing something?
Wait, so if you are driving at night with the headlights on and you have it set to blink amber when turning, it shuts off the standard illumination of the headlight to blink. ie, you lose one headlight when turning????
That's what I said! Dangerous.
They seem super high quality but I personally think they are too busy. I like my Oracle ones for almost half the price which were a major enhancement from the halogen lights too.
Oracle has condensation problems. I like the look of their lights but I’d never run them.

I see that there are not compatible with Canadian JL model, is it because of the Canadian DOT or there are a different wiring in the Canadian JL model?

Anyone had any issue going from OEM halogen to these headlights? I’m having issues. Had them replaced once and a few days after had the same issue of nothing from passenger side light?

I got a ‘21 jl 50th anniversary edition. Do you have any recommendations for initial upgrades? The lights look great as I only have the basic halogen so anything’s an upgrade. 😂

I have these lights but they aren't plug and play on all jeeps. Diode dynamics sent me an anti-flicker device to make them work on my gladiator

I ordered some of the LED Rock Light also announced at SEMA by Diode Dynamics. Unfortunately, they were delayed from Jan to Feb. But, I still don't have them and it's been radio silence from them. You seem to have the inside track with them - is everything okay with the company?
They are on backorder I believe, diode is one of the best companies when it comes to making sure you get your product, they are doing very well!
So I ordered these after watching your video, but I'm going to have to cancel my order cuz these apparently are not compatible with Canadian Jeeps, the site I ordered them off didn't have that noted anywhere but on the Diode Dynamics Webpage it is. That's a big bummer.

I upgraded my headlight bulbs to the Oracle led light bulbs for $129, they work great and are very bright, the diode dynamic headlights are too expensive for me !
Definitely a higher price tag, a lot of quality and time went into them

Are people really going to pay 1800 for the LED package then an additional 1000 for these? I have some older DD stuff that has been great but this is crazy money.
I would imagine so, I paid 4k for the extreme recon package and ripped most of what comes with it off to upgrade!
What about the rear tail lights that tuck up close.

If turn signal light uses one front headlight, how does it affect at night the front illumination since you are loosing one headlight, the one used as turn signal light?
Yeah you are turning toward the side you have disable the headlight on. Doesn’t seem like the best idea in unlit areas. Maybe if you have fog lights they give you some illumination while your main headlight is off🤷♂️
The headlight doesn't turn off with the turn signal, just the ring and the DRL lights, you still have full projection regardless of the turn signal.
I'm curious on if I should get the Oracle Oculus or these Diode Dynamics? Have you tried the oracle headlights out at all? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks so much! @dirtroadcred

Led’s damage vision. I’ll stick with halogen. And using power tools for assembly (especially fragile parts) is shade tree mechanic stuff.
I use my Milwaukee on most things, they have 4 settings with one that stops applying torque when tight, saves a ton of time and I've been doing this for a while.
Haha, define tight. You can claim to be a ‘jeep accessories’ expert, but doing install videos and pretending to know what you’re doing and using equipment destroying techniques that people will copy is infuriating to those of us with professional schooling and decades of experience. ‘My electric drill knows when fasteners are tight’ tells all.

For all of the features the price is worth it, it's not cheap to design and build a headlight

They are a decent amount brighter, the biggest feature is the turn signals and running lights as well as the off-road lights!
