If you are having issues accessing the AVD, you can get assistance at www.aesmp.army.mil/csm That's the Army Enterprise Service Desk. You will need a CAC.
I got: "Your sign-in was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource. For example, you might be signing in from a browser, app, or location that is restricted by your admin."
You should be able to be onboarded from a computer with just your CAC (no government computer needed). It also, should not take long to get approved. If you have not got access by now, I would try the helpdesk I pinned in the comments. It could be an issue with your credentials, but I wouldn't know what specifically.
I don't get the page you get at 3:36, mine says "You don't have access to this. Your sign-in was successful but you don't have permission to access this resource."
I’ve gotten in (thanks!) but the desktop that I see has stuff from my job 3 years ago and one or two new documents, but certainly not the documents I’m working on daily. Will this update over time now that I’ve signed in?
I updated the link in the description. It will direct you to a MIL Connect page, which will have instructions. They updated it since the making of this video. But it's mostly the same.
Great video! I was able to login but it is monochrome rather than in color. Any guess to how I can change it? It is in color when I login to Windows but when I log unto Remote Desktop it cha get to monochrome 🤔
It sounds like a CAC issue, I'd verify that it works by trying to access other sites like MyPay or iPerms. That being said, this system is new, and I've seen a lot of people in forums having issues. If all else fails, I suppose you could always contact the helpdesk.
I was able to access by AKO mypay, iperms, ippsa, etc, but for some reasonim wasn'table to get access to my email. Is the first time, that this happen, i will contactmy unit, if i resolvethe issue, I'lllet you know.@@MilTut360
Working on a Mac. Trying to get past the sign on with AVD keep getting error 2604 no connection. Any idea on how to fix the internet connection issue? My internet works fine yet not in the app for some reason
Does anyone get an error on your macbook pro that says Certificate Validation Failed? I've tried to reset microsoft desktop and update the app but I cant get back in
Go to the link in the description, and checkout the "setup" tab. There is a section for Mac users. It says you can download remote desktop from the app store.
I got onboarded, but when trying to set up a workspace, I accidentally clicked the wrong CAC certificate (didn't use the PIV)...Now when I try to add workspace/log in, it tells me that "Certificate validation failed Try again by doing the following: Close the current browser Open a new browser to sign in Select the certificate If you are using a smart card, make sure it is inserted correctly." Helpdesk was at a loss since my certificates work for mypay/etc...Not sure how to delete/reinstall certs. Think that'l work? Hoping someonw smarter than me has had similar issue and resolved it
It's intended for military use, and you need credentials to access it. So if a civilian (contractor or government employee) has credentials, I suppose they could access it. But, again, you have to request access.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s been months that I can’t check my emails, my unit couldn’t even help me.
I'm really glad it helped. I don't know why the Army makes things difficult to access and doesn't give much guidance.
I keep gettting a " certificate Validation Failed" error. any idea why this is happening? today is NOV 27 2024
Sending this to my guys. Thanks dude. ETA: I wish this video was the official tutorial lol
the arizona vs viriginia is where the AVDs are deployed. Two different Azure regions. Use one that is closest to you for less latency
I got: "Your sign-in was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource. For example, you might be signing in from a browser, app, or location that is restricted by your admin."
I had this problem, might be because you’re not onboarded before you tried to do the setup
How you do that ? I got the same problem
@@haydenbender3687 you have to do the onboarding process on your government laptop first.?

Can you do one on how to CAC sign with the most updated Operating System of MacBook or whatever anyone has
Super user friendly and well explained my guy! Also sending to my team! Thanks for the Video !
I'm glad it helped. Thank you!
Nice video!!! Its straight forward and understandable.
I would recommend when you put links in your description to put them on new lines or add a colin(:) before it though.

I appreciate the feedback. Glad I could help!

I am changing my mos to a 25B. Just so I can navigate all the systems. Should everyone have a 25B mos?
Also, I have a MacBook Pro and I'm using Safari and I'm not seeing any of this on the video.

Hey, why has my computer slowed down after installing AVD? The whole thing is slower.
Be mindful of which computer you add the remote desktop too because they may be able to access your personal computer files.
I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't work like that. You're not granting anyone remote access to your computer.
how would i use a webcam with this

The way it was before AVD was easier to get things done
