@@omran2507 Get 4060 without sec thought. My 4060 140w+i7 13700H scores 11600-11900 on timespy(results vary in tests) GPU score=11200-11400, CPU score=14800-15800 best combination of gpu/cpu imho. 3070 in many benchmarks show it's 8-10% slower than 4060(at least my case) you can find benchmarks on 4060 on my channel then compare, it goes on par with 4070M 140w but make sure you get the 140w version of 4060.
The 4060 supports FG and let me tell you what, only occupies 400M but doubles your fps with 0 loss in quality. Latency isn't much of a big deal in story games and trust me, fg saves you if you wanna game at 1440p or 4k, going from 30fps to 60fps just because of FG! Who on earth wouldn't want that? And if you enable DLSS Quality +FG then you'll have way more fps.
I tried it on Cyberpunk2077 Phantom Liberty(2.1 version ) at 1600p resolution , I disabled DLSS, set it to ultra, ray tracing ultra+path tracing and I got 17fps(7.2gb vram) but when I enable FG, the fps miraculously goes up to 33fps(7.6gb) with native quality . So smooth and game changer. I also tried it on AW2 but didn't upload.
Most previous gen gpus that come with more than 8gb vram can't do as well as 4060 140w cuz they lack FG and in raw performance 3070ti is 5-8% than my 4060 in raw performance and 4070 M 140w is 3-5% faster than my 4060 in raw performance which you can't notice the difference if you intend to play at raw performance by switching from each gpu to another but keep in mind, 4060 is cheaper that's why it's better, 4060 supports FG that's why it's better than 3070ti 150w not to mention that 4060 consumes 50% less power than 3070ti 150 but there isn't that much difference among 4060,4070,3070ti 150w in raw performance so it's up to you.
Vram is important but I'd take 8GB vram+FG over older 10-12GB vram that lacks FG any day.
Watch the desktop 3060 that has 12GB vram in games like AW2 and hellblade2, it can't push the vram up to 8GB let alone 12GB! Total garbage. The desktop 3060ti 8gb is better than the desktop 3060 12gb despite having 4gb less vram. The laptop 4060 is as powerful as the desktop counterpart and it performs same as the desktop 3060ti 8gb vut the 4060 is better cuz it supports FG. Whoever has access to FG and tends to play offline and story games at high resolution knows what gift the dlss fg is

@@abdullahmousa6936 3060 laptop not pc which is 10-15% weaker than pc. eitherway for now its running well most games but its starting to show its age in some modern games (last of us , alan wake 2 are getting 40fps). these are the only games with low performance mostly due to their optimization everything else on 1080p high 60+ but in 2 or 3 years it will show its age even more

@@dollmasterx In all Resident Evil games you have to disable Shadow Cache option to get rid of vram bottleneck on 8gb cards at 1440p. Remember doing it with 3070Ti. With 8gb cards there was a lot of go and figure things to do before some games got patched and I didn't want to do it and I didn't want 12gb card or AMD card as well, so I'd rather pay a whopping $1300 for quality 4080 at launch and I don't regret it.

The 4060 is like the only card that had an okay-ish price that generation.
Still kinda disappointing that it doesn't really beat the 6700xt.
For 800 usd and a new parts only build get the 6750xt since it costs the same and performs better than a 4060 and has more vram, for cpu you can bump up to the 13600k. Get good value case mobo and cpu cooler, meh ram and good psu. Better value when you build things yourself( unless you need a warranty on the rig)
Sooo, it seems to me that the 6700xt is better (?), but I noticed that the 4060 is much more widely used. I’m in the process of buying a new PC and I’m really struggling on the GPU, I want to make sure it’ll be future-proof. Any suggestions would be super helpful. Thanks :)
When it comes to the GPU it's way easier upgradable then a CPU so future proofing is not that important.

Never thought the RTX 4060 to be this crappy. No generational leap from the old card and is practically obsolete the moment it got released. The pricing just put the crappiness to the ultimate absurdity. What's Nvidia even thinking? They must've thought people were idiots who'd just buy every Nvidia product for brand loyalty. Their greed has gone way beyond comprehension.
Look also at the 1% and .1% lows, in Hogwarts Leacy RT you can see them being quite lower even tho the 99% are slightly higher, that means the 6700xt will feel a bit better (or less shit, since we're still talking sub 30 FPS) than the 4060.
Only 4000 that makes sense buying is the 4070S tbh, decent performance without insane prices, while from the 4070Ti up to the 4080S you'll pay too much for what you're getting.
Under a 4070S, you'll get the same performance or even less of a high RTX 3000 or RX 6000 (which you can find for cheaper).

@@loucipher7782 Bro, DLSS means deep learning super sampling, which is an upscaler, and the 3.0 means DLSS+FrameGen. It's using an upscaler + framegen. AMD cards as the 6700XT have its counterpart, which is FSR and AFMF. My point is that applying those features only in the Nvidia card will mislead people to think only the 4060 could reach such artificial FPS in that comparison.

It still blows my mind peoppe arguing when so many can get such good pcs even budget for cheap. You know i found a 4060 buuld with an i5 13600k for 850 dollars brand new? RT isn't feasible on cards below a 4070, and isnt a good selling point, especially with 8gb of Vram which itll regularly run out of. DLSS 3 frame gen will also struggle to be taken advantage of due to the VRAM. You'd be missing out on 20% better performance just to be a Nvidia fanboy. Go with whatever is the best value for its performance. The 4060 would need DLSS to match the 6700xt. the 6700xt can also use FSR or XESS to get that same gap again, so its not rlly a good argument. the 6750xt is also cheaper at 295 usd, and is around 5% faster than the 6700xt, which smashes it further.

(as an example, NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR would both render a 4k desired output setting in the game, if set as Ultra-Performance as an option, would render it as just 720p, then 'stretch it up' to fill the monitor - that is what both NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR does)

@kartikthakor2800 The only bottleneck could be a cpu and psu. I have RX 6700 XT 12gb on a320m mobo, and it works fine, but the motherboard is kinda of a shit for ryzen 5600. It has no problem with GPU but has a problem with CPU.
4060 has been boosted so much in recent drivers. I've never seen nvidia make improvements like this from drivers. Love it i would stipl choose it over a 6700xt purely bevause of the dlss and ray tracing and its funyn people go oh the 4060 xant do that. Oh yes it can. 1080p ultra, ray tracing and dlss most games over 60fps.

@@reviewforthetube6485 Bro, I have laptop 4060 (Legion slim 5i 4060 8gb 140w i7 13700H 16gb ddr5 5200mhz and I tried Alan Wake 2(it's uploaded in my channel), without recording, at 1440p/ultra native in the woods(outdoor) I get 35-37fps average and when I enable FG I literally get 1x fps boost(60-70fps)! Literally ! And gets smooth af . When I enable DLSS Quality with FG on which still looks beautiful at 1440p/ultra, I get 80-90fps! Latency doesn't matter in story/offline games and FG is truly a gift. I believe 4060 is hated because like 80% of haters either are waiting for 50 series or are stuck in 30 series and feel betrayed by nvidia for not having FG. That's just pathetic.

Amd is such a weird company. For cpus it pushes cutting edge tech and yes whe it comes to gpus they act like how intel operates with its cpus. Amd is good if you want traditional rendering but the moment 6ou want upscaling or RT let not to mention frame gen and they fall apart. Fsr 2 is poor incomparison to both xess and dlss, and xess can be used on and gpu as well. Even on none intel arc cards xess performs better than fsr2.

the 6700xt is around 17% faster, and the 6750xt is actually the same price rn, which will make it easily 20% faster. AMD Has fsr 3.1 coming and you also have XESS 1.3, and ray tracing sucks at this level so it isnt relevant

RX 6700 XT has better performance overall, aside the power consumption. AMD cards has vivid colors (where Nvidia uses a color compression method), also there's a filter called Radeon Image Sharpenin. Man this feature is great the level of sharpness and detail is incredible. It also reinforce the colors. With FSR you can balance things and turn RT on. I've been using Nvidia and AMD along the years but right now AMD has a better cost for the consumers.
