Dude!! You made my day. It was the water servo. As I tapped on it (a little aggressively) and the hot water gradually went from a trickle to running running like it should from the tap. Must be time to replace it.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. If it continue to do it you may want to flush your unit as there might be calcium buildup on the line. Let us know how it works for you.
@@diymanualI flushed the unit and increased the pressure and it works like a champ. I also installed a whole house filter, there should be less debris in the unit this winter.
From looking at your setup... it will work but its not the best.....i went to HD and bought a tankless valve kit for under 100.00 it comes with two separate valves for hot and two separate valves for cold. This is used for 1x annual flushings with white vinegar (4 gallons into a 5 gallon bucket and circulate with a 1/6 hp submersible pump)....be sure to take out the inlet filter before you start the cleaning. This is all in the manual that came with your tankless heater. If you have ventilation issues with your unit....such as a code 11 ... you might have to take apart your heater plate and internal heater unit to blow it clean with compressed air and vacuum internally ... then reinstall everything back.....all this can be googled on youtube as some have already have this process listed....i hope this helps your viewers.

I have 2 tankless heater. 1 never had a problem but this one that I showed need to be reset from time to time. By they way, I love your username. My now teenage son is a back to the future fan and I have given him a Delorean car from Playmobil when he was 12 and he still have it on his computer desk and still plays with it.
They require a flushing 2x a year. You can do this in under 30 min.. this video has absolutely zero usefull advice except cleaning the flow sensors inlet filter. If you're not getting hot water it's time to flush the unit. Ife been a red seal plumber 30 years
Let me give you some advice... Rinnai Tankless Water heaters Rarely give Faulty Codes... Also Cleaning regularly is needed, flushed with cleaner or white vinegar, which works fine.. Thanks
Sorry to hear that this did not work for you. Did you install it yourself or was it installed by a professional contractor? Do you hear any clicking noise at the tank when you try to use hot water?
@@need2retire543 The plumber should warranty his work. I did a quick search on Error code 11 for Rinnai and here's some possible culprit. Hope this helps. www.ricksplumbing.com/blog/error-code-11-on-your-rinnai-tankless-water-heater-here-are-5-areas-to-check/ Please share when you or your plumber figure out the issue. Good Luck.
The correct procedure here is to flush the heat exchanger, the reason youre getting loss of hot is due to mineral drop out from heating that coats the heat exchanger. You need 2 laundry hoses a bucket and a pump and vinnegar. In over 30 years service gasfitting and plumbing ive never had one that the electrical or aqua stat as the problem. Also that "turbine " is calld a flow sensor. This is not fixing, this is fumbling shown in this video.
@blizzy.b2508 yes. Get a $100 pump with garden hose connections ( or washing machine). Turn the unit off. Put vinnegar in a bucket, and pump through a hose connected to the unit for 20 minutes . And out of the outlet port back into the bucket completing the loop. The vinnegar breaks down hard water deposits that form on tgh heaT exchanger, the quicker you headwaters the more drop out occurs. On demand heats it very fast through small passages. If the unit is kettling ( "pop pop pop " when heating) , the exchanger is getting very stressed, as flow will be drastically reduced
These are junk, get a regular tank water heater, no issues forc15 years, tankless are fancy junk, I would not waste my money on these shit headache water heaters, hate them
.....THESE "ISSUES" ARE NOT WHAT IS CAUSING MY TWH TO CONSTANTLY GO INTO A "CODE" ("E8") = "OBSTRUCTED EXHAUST AIRFLOW".... [WHICH IS NOT ACTUALLY OCCURRING!!... ] WTF?!
Hi! The exhaust airflow issue is with the 2 big pipes on top of the heater that vents the system and the blower inside the tank. Have you tried checking the pipes if there is any obstruction in it? Maybe dust or spider webs or nest? I remember this video I saw years ago so I tried to look it up for you. Hopefully this is your only issue. th-cam.com/video/lmwIgn1eIKE/w-d-xo.html If this does not work then it may be time to call the professionals. Please update us if you can. I am interested to know the fix. Thanks.
Check your exhaust then, I once pulled a dead squirrel out of a navien exhaust with an auger, it could also be your internal condensate trap where it connects to the airswitch

Cleaned the filter, fixed the problem. Thank you!
Nice work! Happy to hear the problem is solved.

That's awesome to hear! Glad I could help you fix it.
You are a life saver sir. Turning the inlet valve off, letting it drain, and turning on quickly fixed mine.
I'm glad one of the methods worked for you. Thanks for the support.
Thanks so much my turbine was stuck and I used the compressed air can and it worked.
You sav me a lot of money!
You are welcome. I'm happy to help.
You saved me from buying a new tankless water heater and replacing water lines. Thank you
Awesome! So happy to hear I could help you out.
Awesome thankyou! Trying these steps now!
Cool. Thanks for watching.
Where do you adjust the temperature??
Mine have the thermostat inside the house.
I got it to work again, but it stopped working when I lowered the temp. I'll look at the filters

Your procedure is far far more correct than this videos . I've been a plumber 30 years
Just curious. Do tankless cause more issues than tank? Seems like these things are pretty much broken computers compared to a tank.

Didn't work for me and my system is brand new just installed today. Stuck and don't know what to do now

A plumber installed it. I hear what sounds like a pump/fan going on and off but no click. I was able to find an error code 11

What is the correct way of going about this? Do you use the pump to get the vinegar through?

Mine suddenly died just now and it wont turn on might try this
I hope it works for you. When you say 'suddenly died' does it not have any power at all or still power on but not giving hot water?
Got fix now turns out the fuse turned off by it self 😅
