hell yeah brother! I got it in step 2. I think the re-pressurization once you turn everything back on is what did it. The first faucet I turned on spat out this brown water and then the water came back on HOT in the whole house.

Really Good. Have a Navien and it just went dark on me. No power to controller. Slight drip from actual Water heater outer casing!! Unplugged, going to open it and see what is leaking, possibly fried the unit?
We have a Rinnai that from time to time stops working after a few minutes. We have no codes and it just reads the 120. It doesn’t happen all the time. We also just had it serviced and the tech said he couldn’t find anything wrong. Any suggestions what our problem is? Thanks
I'd say water savers in your shower heads. Code 12 is a flame out. It was burning then it quit. P1 is low water pressure. So, something is restricting it. check the filter on the bottom of the heater too.
Thank You for video. I have Eccotemp 45 hi - natural gas water heater . Have code E 3. All is OK. Water pressure, gas, vent is clean .. HOW to reset that code.. I Turned OFF power for all day, dont helps. Thanks
It worked for three showers. The water starts hot for about five minutes then goes cold. Then the next day the shower stays hot?I think my tankless is bipolar?

It's working again! It was the little filter on the inlet. Thank you for the extremely helpful video👍

Mine - the pressure regulator for the natural gas was stuck. Just tapped the regulator with the handle of a screwdriver and the water heater fired up.
surprisingly that has fixed the problem for me so many times .
How about error code 52?
It says something about checking the harness for the solenoid.. but what is the solenoid.
It's the gas valve. those don't normally go bad. probably got some corrosion on the connection, unplug it and plug it back up..

Um, normally turning the power off for a few seconds does the trick. Eccotemp has a tech support number you can call, it's probably really simple.

Indoor unit code normally means you got something in your venting. like bugs or some bird is trying to build a nest. check your vent .

Nobody seems to know how to solve Eccotemp problems. Best not to buy one.
They have a tech support you can call. I learned what I know from calling various tech supports (not just water heaters) over the past 15 years.
