I’ve tried so many stretch routines but this is by far my favorite. I think part of it is that you sound like DanTDM someone I used to watch a lot growing up, so it calms me more than usual 😅
Good video guys! I spent a good 1-2 years stretching everyday and it did wonders for my health, it's why I also made a video detailing my own full body stretching routine. I think that most people would benefit a lot more from ditching a hard gym session and hitting a good parasympathetic stimulating yoga or a stretching session instead :)
Tom Merrick just looked at your channel, haven't watched anything but from the titles it seems you have a good wealth of knowledge to share. Subscribed and will check out
Genuinely didn't think I would find this as relaxing as I did, but on the last stretch I could feel myself falling asleep! Definitely going to use this as part of my night time routine.
This is one of my favourite stretching videos. Your honest voice, no nonsense chat, the music, the simplicity of your routine. It's addictive, which isn't at all bad for a stretching video. An upper body/back one from you in the same style would be amazing!!!!
Thank you so much I keep coming back to this video recently while feeling my mental health is taking a toll on me and every time I stretch I release such emotions and can proper calm down after that. Im aiming to do this now 6 x a week for the next weeks until my anxiety improves!
I trained Aikido for about five years and these flexibility workout techniques we used to do them as warm-up. They make your body more relaxed, supple and quite easy to execute movements more fluidly, from the most complex martial art techniques or moving heavy loads to something as simple as sweeping the floor or wiping a table surface. Thanks for this fantastic - and my favourite kind of - workout and video, mates.
This is, by far, the best stretch workout I have come across. It targets all my tight areas and forces you to hold the stretch until it starts to loosen. Great job, guys!
Love this video, especially the fact it made my back feel great! My spine is fused from the skull all the way through T3 so I have to be very mindful of keeping the rest of my thoracic spine strong and flexible while not injuring my upper spine. Thanks for everything you do, you truly have videos for everyone and every fitness level.
Idk why, i watched your video around 6 years ago. And after it i couldn’t watch any other stretch video than this one. It took me a few months looking for It. And I FOUND IT 🎉 a day before my birthday day. I am so happy honestly.
Mobility is so important. As soon as I incorporate 5 to 10 min mobility work before my training and 5 to 10 min flexibility cool down I have seen improvement in my overall heath and also fitness. Great video!
Me and my hubby are loving your videos amazing doing them everyday now I’ve been doing a lot of home wods so they are great if possible could you do one with calf stretches I’ve been running a bit more so tight :)
You guys should really consider posting more videos, i feel very relaxed after a strenuous workout that left just about every muscle in my legs tense/sore.
Loving these mobility videos, they help my flexibility and recovery so much I wish I'd done more when I was younger! Can you put them all in one 'Mobility' playlist? Would help discovery a lot!
Ohh Soo happy to find you All stretchings for men out there are soo rushed through But you actualy took the time and made it simple and realistic Thank You :)
I've been using this video a couple times a week to help with my range of motion, and I think it has definitely helped. I don't lift weights, but I do carry my son everyday, and he's in the high 90% for his size and weight, so it counts
I have the same problem and someone recommended that I elevate my butt on a yoga block - it’s a modification for us less flexible type - and it worked!
I love this man, i do it after every footy session bro. This gives me a better chance to recover and remain injury free :) plus it helps me sleep better too.
Great Vid! I do that now for two weeks every second day. It'd be awesome if you guys could do one which includes more upper body parts like chest, neck and so on so that there's like a full body routine. That'd be perfect. Greetings from Germany
man you helped me so much I have a grading for a black belt in karate and It took me only 7 seconds to finde and I need to be praperd so thank you so much for giving me good advice again thank you
Been doing this for a few days and feeling tremendous. Looser than ever and it feels like this helps with my recovery big time as my current workout had a lot of squats. Could you PLEASE do an upper back, neck, shoulder version? Always suffering from tight traps and neck and lacrosse balls are only thing I've found to really help. Thank you!
I've been meaning to start a stretching regime because I am the most inflexible person in the world. Had a go at this today and it was actually quite enjoyable so I will be incorporating it into my daily workouts I think, cheers John!
Really good video, great stretches and I feel really good after doing that. For a 6"2 guy, good mobility and flexibility doesn't come easy so this type of workout is a really nice way to help us all out!!
John, I would love to work with you and introduce you to loaded stretching! I think it would benefit your gymnastics training greatly (it has with myself).
MASSIVE THUMBS UP! I'm going to incorporate more stretches for sciatic nerve pain and foam rolling in my daily regime! Also are your feet, lower legs supposed to get pins + needles? Mine were doing the butt stretch with one leg horizontal in front of you.
Have done this routine for 3 times now. It's awesome, esp. since i'm a beginner to mobility and flexibility. Stretching really helps with my calisthenics work out.
I came to write a comment and i noticed that I wrote before! This exercise definitely helping me physically and mentally. I feel like I am back in my body while doing it.
This is brilliant. I've always been rubbish at stretching and the range of movement in my ankles & hips is poor. I also have really tight IT bands. Would you recommend a foam roller too? Cheers John. Really useful and helpful. I think I'm going to be doing this on my rest days.
I have been doing this for a few months and it has really helped and I was wondering is there a way of adding a few different stretches. Thank you theses have really helped me.
Great video, I was actually coming here to look for ideas for a mobility and flexibility class i was thinking about putting on and all of this stuff are exercises I already do in my own routine
Thank you for this. Nearly a year of weight training and HIIT sessions with little mobility work has left me very inflexible so ill be doing this on every off day 👍☺️
Every time I went for a jog my hip flexors would start swelling and I hoped that there was somesort of video that helped with it. And i found yours which helped me alot now it is a part of my daily routine THANKS ALOT!!!
I had problems with that breathing, for me it wasn’t easy, but I suppose....everything can be learned 🤩. Excellent exercises🙌🙌, thanks 🙏 and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪!💙💜💙
great video stretching is an important fundamental of the workout before workout the preparation, and the cooldown afterwards, the mobility gained from stretching will be needed in our later years
Really well done. No too much noise, not too much music, not too much talk. Very well done.
Four years later me and my clients still use this stretching routine weekly to improve our mobility. Thank you very much!
I’ve tried so many stretch routines but this is by far my favorite. I think part of it is that you sound like DanTDM someone I used to watch a lot growing up, so it calms me more than usual 😅
I've been doing this since 2017. One of the best programs ever. Thank you!
❤️❤️💪🏼💪🏼
This is my favorite “yoga” video. Works like a charm every time.
So nice to see a realistic workout for non yoga obsessed chicks
+Raphaël Gracia thank you
Raphaël Gracia this!!!
Right. I do yoga but prefer stretching programs.
Exactly😂
The funny thing is that a few of the exercises here are yoga poses as well.

Why instead? You can do both perfectly
Agreed
Tom Merrick is awesome, really recommend his videos :)
Man, Tom Merrick, look at you - 4 years later. I love your videos by the way :)
The thick yoga mats are the best in my opinion. Very comfortable. You're not a wimp. You know what's up. Great video.
Genuinely didn't think I would find this as relaxing as I did, but on the last stretch I could feel myself falling asleep! Definitely going to use this as part of my night time routine.
Yay for upper body version of this!
This is one of my favourite stretching videos. Your honest voice, no nonsense chat, the music, the simplicity of your routine. It's addictive, which isn't at all bad for a stretching video. An upper body/back one from you in the same style would be amazing!!!!
Man, timo werner plays football and stretching vids, ty so much timo 🙏🙏👏👏
Never knew Luka Doncic can teach flexbility and Mobility workouts, Thanks Luka!!
Thank you so much I keep coming back to this video recently while feeling my mental health is taking a toll on me and every time I stretch I release such emotions and can proper calm down after that. Im aiming to do this now 6 x a week for the next weeks until my anxiety improves!
Been recommended to do a whole bunch more stretching to aid with mobility for boxing. Your videos are great. Thanks mate
+Ben Cox thanks buddy

This was a great video. Everyone has a ton of workout videos but hardly anyone focuses on stretching. Thanks for this!
I have done this exercise pretty much everyday for the last 3 months and now i don't struggle with pains in my lower back.
Great video and thank you🙏
Love this video, especially the fact it made my back feel great! Could u give more detail? My spine is fused as well😭
Idk why, i watched your video around 6 years ago. And after it i couldn’t watch any other stretch video than this one. It took me a few months looking for
It. And I FOUND IT 🎉 a day before my birthday day. I am so happy honestly.
That’s awesome! Thanks
Used this video 3y ago during marathon training. Back again! Never remove it!🙏
Can't wait to do this in the garden when it gets sunny!!
+beau wood i'm all about that

I started watching this video ages ago, now I’m back after being inactive with flexibility sessions. It’s great to feel the stretch again :)
Welcome back!
@@TheLeanMachines Thank you man, this is the first flexibility video that inspired me to improve my mobility!
Loving these mobility videos, they help my flexibility and recovery so much I wish I'd done more when I was younger! Can you put them all in one 'Mobility' playlist? Would help discovery a lot!
Did this one today as a part of my recovery from a heavy migraine and it was so good! Need to do this more often. Thanks guys!
Lara me too, it really helped to release the tension
I really enjoyed this, definitely nice for people scared of who might be scared to take up yoga, this is how easy it can be!
The music makes me feel so relaxed.
Him: just relax
My pain: Am I a joke to you?
It shouldn’t hurt
@@YBGGRUB Grady is right - I should not hurt. Don't go all the way, that is not the point of this.
Anandita Arya I dunno what I’m doing wrong because I am not going all the way to the floor like he is at all and it still hurts
@@averixx06 Well that just means you are stiff. Go until what feels comfortable and work your way
Ohh
Soo happy to find you
All stretchings for men out there are soo rushed through
But you actualy took the time and made it simple and realistic
Thank You :)
Just discovered these vlogs and do them now on a regular basis. I find them really useful and can’t wait to see the results. Great work guys 👍🏼
I'd like to say that even though those exercises are easy, you make an awsome job by creating an atmosphere and pacing the exercises.
They were not easy for me
I’m struggling baddddd
I've been using this video a couple times a week to help with my range of motion, and I think it has definitely helped. I don't lift weights, but I do carry my son everyday, and he's in the high 90% for his size and weight, so it counts
This is one of those meat and potatoes super basic stretching videos that all people, not just athletes should be doing. Well done! love it.
For the last exercise when he said try to lean forward into it, I was trying my darn hardest not to fall backwards
Your not the only one!
Same
I have the same problem and someone recommended that I elevate my butt on a yoga block - it’s a modification for us less flexible type - and it worked!
This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you Gents.
I love this man, i do it after every footy session bro. This gives me a better chance to recover and remain injury free :) plus it helps me sleep better too.
Very very thanks . Music and exercises was so much relaxing
This was so relaxing I almost fell asleep, thank you
yes, same. 👍
Lol same
Who else feels so sleepy after this? It's amazing and as a beginner I was able to do everything, thank you so much!!!
Have been mixing in yoga and pilates stretches and found them hugely beneficial for posture and form. Brilliant video, great work 👍🏻
+SuperWoomaster me too!

Absolutely loved this video, please make One for each big musclegroup! Felt so good to take the time👍
That's what I wanted to get across, just relaxing and taking some time for yourself
I love it cause it actually respects the timeframe needed for streches to be effective + the music is A Class!
have a shot every time he says 'take a little bit of time for yourself.' Love the video thank you
As much as I love this, it's not nearly as relaxing when you have to regularly yell at your cat to stop him from knocking things down
I literally just had to pause the video to put my cat in the other room 😂
I like to put my cat inside of a little small box when I do this. A cereal box will do just fine.

Just played 3 matches in 4 days this is exactly the workout i needed :)
These stretches helped me with my anterior pelvic tilt , So thanks (:
Have done this routine for 3 times now. It's awesome, esp. since i'm a beginner to mobility and flexibility. Stretching really helps with my calisthenics work out.
Thanks for this video! I'm super tight everywhere from lifting and I'm just starting to do mobility
Omg thank you for this ! The step by step helps so much so we don’t need to constantly pause ! I shared to loads of people 🙏🏼
Many thanks for this. Very useful and will be using with my training group. 👍🏾

Is this good for soccer players ?
I´ve been doing this along with my wife for 2 weeks now and it´s great!!
I LOVE to stretch!! It’s an often neglected component of physical fitness. Thanks for sharing
I have started CrossFit. And feel this type of stretching will be beneficial.
Would love to see one of these for upper body. Really helpful and relaxing after a leg session!
Been using all the mobility videos lately and they're really helping. Thanks John!

Hello mate, great video 🙏.
Do we need to do any warm up exercises or workout before doing these stretches?
Thank you for a great informative video. I am going to try this myself. I'm sure I will see great results over time🐱🏍
Felt great to stretch off my legs after working them yesterday! Please do a callisthenics video, would love to lean how to handstand like you guys

Is this good for bad knees or the movements are too advanced?
