Hey Berry.. I was always told to not fold charts.. or maps or blueprints..but to roll them.. it keeps them from tearing apart. 😊 just a architects point of view. love your videos 😊
Baz mate, if that's a PMW solar controller, ditch it and go buy an MPPT solar controller. It allows you to put more charge into those batteries, go have a quick read up its honestly going to help so much especially in not perfect sun conditions!!!!
Barry you ripped through some of the best cruising grounds in Australia. Didn't stop at any of the southern Whitsundays like Brampton Island. The walks and look outs, beaches are what makes the area so special.
I have seen a vast majority of your videos, for some reason this one hit a particularly resonating note in depths of my soul! I am a bit old to have heroes, 63, but you Barry are one of mine. Thank you!
Hello again barry, Good o l e australia, A site to Behold. Love your navigation and banter. So much to contend with on a cruiser. Thanks for bringing us along as always. See you next weekend hopefully.❤❤❤
I'm puttering on my boat with you in the background. I hear you mention the forward reef points coming loose from the horn, see your solution and wow, duh. So simple yet I didn't think of it. Thanks for the show and tell.
I add a two tie wrap to the handle of my fuel that has oil added. Easy to remember; add oil to the can with the added tie wraps. Marks made with markers easily rub off with spilt fuel. Having two tie wraps lessens the likelihood that both will fall off. Different color can is best but sometimes you don’t have one or need to use the can for something else. Nice video as always. Changing holding tank lines on my boat so nice to see someone using a boat for boating.
Barry, you could hold your tablet computer to its mount with self adhesive Velcro. No springs to rust or break. Hook side on one part and loop side on the other. Made of nylon so will last. Acrylic adhesive nice and long lasting too. Great video of the Whitsundays!
Hi Barry, Have sailed locality ( Poole Yacht Club, Poole, Dorset, UK) all my life. You have come so close to friends of mine in Safe Haven Marina, Pamina. Now I am starting to feel the call to retire and get out to deeper waters and stretch my legs. you are most inspiring.
Thanks Barry for all your videos over the years, they're the high point of my day whenever you post. We're the same age you and I but your adventures are on the sea where as mine have mostly been on land. Smooth sailing friend.
Barry, Thank you for your inspiration, mate! My wife and I are closing on a plastic fantastic 42 ft at the end of May. Hope we cross paths somewhere out there, some day. I love your videos.
l spent 2 month's sailing around the Whitsundays in 1993 it's paradise if you get the chance go and see Chalky's beach it's out of this world,if l remember it is opposite to Whitehaven beach
Thanks for sharing barry, busy old spot there, but good to see your diy , well done. Look forward to seeing in nz one day, got a wee dram waiting for you. Cheers from south island new zealand.
With all the worries and nervousness, is there really a safe passage? You made it through many passages. If you and Shaddie can make it through, anybody who is a good a sailer as you …they can too. Lead the way, Shaddie!
It's also a very good idea to mix your 'premix' fuel in small batches and use it up. Premix that sits around much longer than a month or so loses quite a bit of it's lubricating properties and will cause increased wear in the 2 stroke engine. Don't use it. There's nothing wrong with old left over premix in with your normal engine fuel (provided it's a gasoline burning 4 stroke engine, and not a diesel engine).
With all of the issues you have with skiff motors, have you considered an electric one? Watch an episode of Sailing Fair Isle and have a look at theirs. No starting worries at all. Thank You again for another awesome episode, looking forward to the next one!
Risk taking, how dare you travel through Dangerous Passage!! Rewarded by meeting friends, hopefully enjoying pizza and beer. Mc Givering a bracket, trying a new auxiliary solar bed. Changing a reefing setup.
well i nailed DELOS a decade ago, and SeaDog early too. so your lastd-ditch effort to BE in history; passed it all off as documentary cinematography as spades Mate. WELL DONE
You would love it here Barry..... I'm talking about île sainte Marie off the coast of Madagascar....one of the oldest pirate cemetery....here..... famous pirates island....let me know if interested.....❤🎉
I hope that you removed the blue tarp off the bottom of your solar array, as leaving it over the bottom of the panels will reduce the output of the panels quite a bit. Great video!
Very cool to see Wyland sculptures on your travels. Used to build them after working at his gallery in S.F.

I'm a rigger with leftover parts. I hardly ever throw anything away. Might need it someday. Great addition to your helm. 👍
Thanks for sharing.
The old sea dog is worried, scared and nervous. Must be at sea again😂
A cautious barry is preferbable to a nonchalant barry, surely.
😂
You can tell if he's nervous by seeing if he is awake 😂
@@chuckvanderbildt nah.
The tale of two Barry's: 1. Nervous Barry - at sea 2. Jovial Barry - A pint of ale along with fish and chips on land
Love you Barry. Thank you for the video, stay safe out there.

“Arrr, theres pizza and beer over there” 😂
Yep, I tried unsafe passage back in 2013. It was fun, had to use loads of revs to maintain control. Have fun on Whitehaven breach, and visit the rays.
Lived in Aus for 40 years, Whitsundays my fav place :)
I suddenly want to meet your mom, curious that. Good sailing, good video, good fortune always. HAPPY DAYS
Beautiful sunset around minute 4:03.

Hey Barry! Have you seen Adam Gussow's blues harmonica videos? I've been playing for 45 years and I still learn a lot from him.
The Rocks are far away...
You arrived 40 years too late...have fun

You'd see another world on those islands with goggles and a snorkle. Hope you get a chance to explore underwater further north. Cheers

Greetings Barry, from Flowood, Mississippi USA! 🍺⛵😎👍🏻
I've had an unsafe passage once or twice. Especially after a chicken vindaloo
Imagine those ppl paid big money to be flown in and you just pull in for free lol Love the add on. The old sea dog 🐕
Thanks for the ride, Skipper. (As always)
Barry you should take some flippers with you when you go out on your dinghy just in case you don't get anywhere with the paddle!
What a beautiful bay to anchor in.
Great Video, love you video style, Happy sailing
Give Keisha a hug for me ( I miss taking her for her daily walk)
Jammers ahoy. Good improv.

"I've done the unsafe passage!" No comment, non needed.
Very Good! Thanks .
He’s back
13:58 'the deck is looking in a bit of disarray' that's normal isn't it??
Now the tablet is secured, you could turn the plastic grey thing upside down to make a sunshade for the screen...

Keep on Walking! Right on.
Barry and Shaddie are a treasure!
another good one Barry
The girls we did see looked like they were having a lazy time!
Lines Bazz lines! Apparently no "ropes" on boats...😂😂😂
Lines are just ropes with a purpose!
@@koolmodee4542 🤣
2 stroke oil mixed at 50:1 works fine in my lawn mowers which are 4 stroke....:-)
Rope? Tut tut tut surely you mean line😊
Pretty girls, the old sea dog and pills ….. the mind boggles.
You are giving me inspiration thanks.mick Sydney
❤😂🎉😅ya Baby
Question for all Cruisers, how do you address prescription meds supply?
See a local doc
Give us more Bazza!!!
I hope that you removed the blue tarp off the bottom of your solar array, as leaving it over the bottom of the panels will reduce the output of the panels quite a bit. Great video!
Nice vid😉
_ROPES_ ~ on a BOAT?
_I_ DON'T think so!
Sailboats only have 2 ropes, Bell rope and bolt rope stitched into the luff of a sail , and the other lines all have specific names.
love you
Watch out for Gator hitchhikers😬😄
You need to put more sail up
It's like calling Football >> Soccer!!
I love repurposing stuff. Your pad holder is looking great!
More whinging, moaning and fear from the Old Sea Dog. He is a great advertisement for never going to sea.
I’d moan if it kept me alive.
0:39 large ships where ?? come on Barry stop being a 'nervous pervous' 😱😱
Do you ever flush your little outboard engine ?
Rarely flown a spinnaker.
👏👏👏
apparently he went through the unsafe passage...
