Fx6 is definitely a dream video camera for me coming from FS700 (got two and still an amazing video camera, by the way). That is why I hold off on the Sony a7s3 as I already have Sony a6100, GH4, and XT3 for TH-cam videos. Sony a7r3 is my ultimate photography camera and I only used it if I want to photograph the best of the best images, while Nikon d7000 is my hobby photography camera. FX6 would complete my collection of amazing cameras for the next 10 years. When I buy cameras it will last me for at least 10 years. That is why I still have my FS700r, a5000, a5100, GH4, and XT3 cameras.
Excellent comment! I’m in the same boat, I shoot with an FS700R and it’s an absolutely fantastic 4K with a Shogun, but I REALLY want to upgrade to this camera simply because as much as I love my FS700R, and will keep it, it’s as heavy as a tank rigged up, maybe I’m just getting old lol

I like your practical approach mate. Thanks for keeping us 'corporate interview videographers' in mind. The corporate shoots might be boring and slightly soul killing, but they pay the bills and allow me to buy new gear like this.

hurts) but wow how incredible for this price. 2013 we paid this for a c100 mark 1. Now look what this same money will buy in 2020. Bravo Sony. I’m liking the C70 also but these days I’m needing SDI more and more. A shame about no XLRs on the body. Not the end of the world. Fun to watch and see the cameo from Gerald.
Excellent overview and your Madeira footage has a definite Terrance Mallik 'Thin Red Line' vibe to it, which isnt a bad thing in my book. Going to look at the finished film now.

Why is the positioning of the sensor and the lens mount quite high up on the body? How will this affect the use of rods & the matte box?

Excellent video as always! Quick question, there are claims online that the A7S3 1080p240 videos are line-skipped and noticeably softer. How is the FX6? Especially when compared to your FS5? I love the clean 240-fps output from my FS5, and if the FX6 is anything like it at 240fps, I will be upgrading... Thanks!!
James, a great review, and loved the fact that you tied it in with the fabulous short film that you shot. The best review I've seen on the Sony F6 thus far. Just curious as to what was the goto lens (or two or three) that you would recommend for the FX6?
