can you please make a video explaining how to properly use the green wire bypass the relay for people who don't want to use a probe and just want the fan to come on when the car is on

+tesh0boy Shut up dicknuts, we're not complaining about the detail of work, we're complaining about the workmanship. He doesnt use the correct tools AND wires it up without proper fuse location. This is a fire waiting to happen
+tesh0boy My problem with this is if they can't do a proper install video, with near limitless r&d resources, where else have they cut corners in their products?
Finally the first kit that uses the reading to turn on the fan from the cold side. Other than the shotty worksmanship during the install i am definitely liking this much better than the flexalite controllers that put the sensor on the hot side.

Google Email You want the radiator to do its job and only its job. As soon as you add other stuff such as the engine temp to the equation everything starts mixing up since now you have the thermostat doing a different job, then you have the engine and the ecu doing a different job so you get 3-4 different systems all working in eachothers way. Long story short the fan turns on at the wrong times.
What happen with the green wire?
WOW! I understand you want people to know the basics of how to wire up the fan but god damn this looks ghetto. If I was Mishimoto I wouldn't want my name on this video. But for the record all the Mishimoto product's I've had a great quality.
Hello. My fans have a blue and black wire. Which one is the positive? Also, I'm going to use one as a pusher and one as a puller. If I have to reverse a fan, is it simply removing and reversing the fan or do I have to also reverse the wires? Thank you for your help and the video.
I thought Mac Guyver was the previous owner of my s13. It had these fans when I bought it. Apparently it was just someone who watched this install video and matched it up exact except the part where he sealed it to the radiator with duct tape. Eh at least i know which wires are the fan controllers now. I'll just redo the wires with proper splices and loom them in better spots.
I have followed this video to wire my fan up this does not show where the green wire goes and there is no low speed and high speed options fan only runs at one speed is there another kit to install to green wire for low speed and high speed adjustment??
The green wire is for override, for A/C etc. This is not a high/low fan switch.
Ok but how to I put the fans into a car that already has a temp controlled fan relay and there are 4 wires on the harness but only 2 wires on your fan kit?

I dont understand why it attaches to my radio? ..will it feed back and cause noise?
The radio signal wire tells the fan to turn off when the radio turns off. Otherwise it’ll keep running when the engine is off and it’ll drain your battery.
@@TheKingOfHalo Find a switched wire from the fusebox would be better than running the wire back inside the cabin to the radio.
one question can I use the green wire with an stand alone ecu or what is the use for this wire?
What are you expecting to use this for? Does the stand alone ECU not have a way to control the fan through the harness?
@@mishimoto yes it does what I didn’t know is if your fan control was able to be controlled by an stand alone ecu I’m learning about ecu’s
If you have a standalone ECU that can control the fan activation, the controller we sell would be redundant and unnecessary.
@@mishimoto well I bought your controller before the ECU and I want to keep using it that's why I want to know if I can control it with the aftermarket ecu
No, you cannot control the controller with the ECU. Either the Mishimoto controller will turn the fan on or the ECU will. If you are not interested in using the ECU settings, we suggest installing the fan controller as shown in our install guide and ignoring any wires from the ECU or on the OEM harness. If you have any additional technical questions, please contact us directly at support@mishimoto.com.
I have a problem with the 1/8 npt sensor is not working where can I get the sensor only or can you tell me what is the diagram what's ground and what's signal please

I got an e36 bmw, what if u got just one fan not two!?
so do i run the green wire to a toggle switch with a power source than i can turn it on.
If you add a single pole double throw switch in series with the black fan wire, you can bypass the NO/NC single pole single throw thermostat. May God enlighten the unknowing.
could I just so connect the second fan to the first and plug the first fans plug into the plug? I bought a miata one so it's plug n play, would wiring it to the first one also kick the second on if it was wired to it ?
What do you guys do with the A/C clutch fan connection did you guys connect it? If the 240 even had A/C
Wow, please keep your day jobs at making beautiful high quality products, the video is horrible and the quality of the install is absolute garbage. And the wiring practices he used are far from safe.

It’s built into the Mishimoto harness.

Can you just run the signal wire to switch and ground out the wire using a three way switch? Would that affect the relay?

Were goes the green cable?
This wire is meant to be an override and can be set up to a manual switch or hooked up to the AC compressor to have the fan turn on with the AC. This will all depend on your preference, some customers simply don't connect it as well.

Hi... is there anyway i can just override wire both fans to just turn on when i crank up my car and they keep running until i turn my car off... (without having to add the switch control to route inside the car??) i have a 2001 chevrolet impala with recent fixed aircondition and the my overheating issue seems to have started once i fix my aircondition and started running it..... please help (-;
Hi Mocha Love! It is possible to wire the fans to run constantly, but I recommend against it. It wont allow the vehicle to warm up properly from a cold start and it will put a strain on the cooling fan motor, control module, and charging system. Cooling fans are not designed to run constantly. It sounds like you have an underlying cooling system issue that needs to be addressed first. Running the AC creates an additional thermal load on the cooling system, which is revealing the problem. Once you figure that out, you can wire the fans to kick-on automatically when the AC is engaged by attaching the green wire to the positive lead on the AC compressor clutch.

Mocha Love The reason you are overheating is because the AC condenser generates heat in its function. You have an underlying issue that is causing you to overheat. Check your coolant level, thermostat, water pump, radiator fan operation and radiator for faults.
Now that you are adding an additional huge draw on the electrical system, did you upgrade the alternator to compensate for the additional electrical power your car will need now that it has electric fans?....probably not i'll assume...
Hey! Just to clarify, our fan controller kit includes a built-in A/C override feature and is designed for use with 1-2 electric fans drawing a combined 25 amps or less.

The green wire would be spliced into the trigger wire for your AC compressor, other than that everything else would be the same
