rock climbing is usually low speed, throttle modulated. i mean... you could WOT it up a rockface but yeh..

But would have been more oem with a 1JZ or even 7MGTE

Auto is best on the beach, in the dunes, in a mud pit, slow technical driving, and has better economy than the manual
There is alot of Toyota motors alot better then the Barra.
Name one which can provide similar power and torque for the same price which has the same reliability, aftermarket support, driveability and spare parts network that the Barra can provide......? I'm waiting ☺

I agree if your balancing power, torque and reliability per dollar. My fte converted 105 is a dream car, expensive engine however can tow my 3t van at 17L/100km....
