Cecil, you once took time off after the death of your friend. I lost my wife of 17 years at the end of this august. She was only 47. Aeortic aneurysm. Died painlessly in her sleep. That was the worst day of my life. Since I know you understand how it feels, I wanted to thank you. Your videos have played a big part in getting me through some of the worst of it. She and I watched your vids together. I still feel close to her when I’m watching this channel. Just thought you might appreciate knowing that you eased someone’s pain slightly, seeing as the kind of guy you seem to be.
I am really sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through and it is awful and while things will never be the same, things do eventually get better. Its a rough road for sure and I hope you have a good support system there to help you in this trying time. She sounds like a wonderful person, I'm sorry you are going through this. Thank you for sharing, thank you for the kind words and thank you for the support. I'm wishing you all the best for the future and I hope my videos can offer you some comfort moving forward. Take care of yourself.
I'm so gd sorry Pat. Been married as long as you and I honestly don't know what I'd do... I hope time brings you some peace; I can't imagine the weight. Thank you for sharing your story, I hope it makes others hug their loved ones a little tighter tonight. I know I will. 💚
I’m from the Appalachian mountains and I’m gonna tell you there is plenty of weird that takes place. Always respect the wild areas of the world because you never know what’s in them.
You won't catch me out in the woods after dark. I don't believe in bigfoot or other creatures like that, but I sure as shit have no intention of making sure 🤣
I live in the mountains of western Canada. We often hear all sorts of unidentified species that sound like giant primates, but not human, or any known Canadian wildlife. I once camped out overnight in my SUV and recorded the audio overnight, but do not want to just upload it to TH-cam and have it stolen, in case it is the real deal. Forest service officials and police always dismiss the audio as probably just me having recorded pranksters in the woods, but humans can not make these sounds, and I was a few hundred kilometers from populated areas, so why prank where nobody will hear? Lol It is frustrating. The screeches are blood curdling and very haunting, and not possible for humans. I need a real expert!
Cecil, can you make a list of films with similar titles but different stories Gladiator is one example of a film with a same title but a different Story
I very much enjoyed "Exists", especially with the reveal at the end and mama Bigfoot accepting the human was sorry to have hurt her child. Glad they didn't try for more money, which gets more involvement from the studio.
I didn't expect a exploring video on this movie. I adore this movie and throughly enjoyed it when I watched it years ago. Indeed it is one of the best found footage and big foot movies out there.
Your "Exploring Book of Shadows" video was the first one I watched about 4 years ago now. That led me down a movie rabbithole and a religious watcher of all your videos!! Thank you for all the hard work Cecil!
I watched this movie a few years back with admittedly pretty low expectations. I was more than pleasantly surprised. It's the one bigfoot horror movie I actually recommend to people.
I had to look up Eduardo Sanchez because you kept showing shots of him next to the Bigfoot and I was starting to wonder why Bigfoot was just a normal sized guy. Then I saw Sanchez himself is 6'7"!
Love the part when they pull up to the gas station from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary, there are little cabins back there.
I worked with Mr. Sanchez in Maryland (not movie industry). He was a very good talk (he really loves and knows his movies). This was when he was conceptualisting the BWP. Awesome video as always good Sir👍!
Exists is the best Bigfoot movie I have ever seen! I rewatch it about 3 to 4 times a year, and watch it with friends while we are out on 4x4 expeditions, camping in remote parts of British Columbia lol. It gets everyone so spooked that first timers sleep in their cars😂
I'm listening to this while driving to the grocery store!!! Gonna watch it when I'm finished!!! Thank you for another excellent video!!! I always enjoy the Exploring series!!!
I was 15 when this movie came out and watched it on a random weekend at my local theatre because I was bored. Like you said I had so much fun. love the thrilling nature of the movie.
I wore this very Bigfoot suit in 2023’s Summoning the Spirit. It was incredible to wear such a well made suit. I got the role, largely because of how well the suit fit. What didn’t fit were the teeth. I had to slap so much Fixodent in the appliance to get them to hold…
@@GoodBadFlicks Cool I believe a friend of mine had sent me the DVD of this a few years back I have to see if I can find out in my collection somewhere in my room? LOL! If not then I'll find it to watch on streaming thanks Cecil😁
I'm so happy you did an Exploring on this movie! I enjoy it a lot and have rewatched it many times. You just feel bad for everyone, the young adults and the Bigfoots/Bigfeet?❤
I watched this last year around this month after finding it on Tubi (I wanna say after watching a video on this channel where it was talked about) and I found it enjoyable. I think I may re-visit this film again before Halloween/October ends
"Big Legend" is a Bigfoot horror film that while decent, I have to choose precisely who I recommend it to. "Exists", is a film I can recommend to strangers. That's the difference in quality I felt.
100% agree. Big Legend was fun, but appeals to a certain demographic of horror/monster movie fans. Exists appeals to anyone who enjoys a good horror movie.
Yes! I LOVE this movie. . . I can't stand bigfoot movies normally, but this one was phenomenal. Spoilers: That red head chick genuinely gives one of the most realistic death scenes I've ever witnessed
Regarding Mark Ordesky being a producer for the Lord of the Rings movies - if I recall correctly, Weta modelled the One Ring after his actual wedding ring. They thought the shape was just what they were looking for.
Great job on the video, Cecil. Always enjoy these deep dives into the history of how these films got made. I remember seeing Exists when it arrived on DVD rental and especially the finale. Can't believe it has been ten years. Time for a re-watch. ☺
Thanks for another truly awesome exploring episode, Cecil!!! I will have to check out Exists, one of these days!! Since you mentioned, the Legend of Boggy Creek, I was wondering if you'd ever be up for doing an exploring episode on it. I already know about all the behind the scenes info about the film, but I'd still absolutely love to see your take on the story behind the making of, & legacy of TLOBC. Especially since I have a personal connection to the film, as a guy who worked with my dad, who's sadly no longer with us, he played one of the hunters, in the film. It was his one & only acting role, & he got it cause he happened to know & be friends with the writer/director Charles Pierce. I won't give his name, for privacy reasons, as I've long been close to his family, & his son & I were childhood friends, but that's one of the main reasons why I'd love to see an exploring episode on the Legend of Boggy Creek. Would you ever consider it?
I've seen this movie. I really liked it. great looking Bigfoot. and not just your typical monster flick. Bigfoot isn't just out for blood. it's vengeance
Just watched this: that ending is so powerful. Even after watching this, I expected Brian to get grabbed up by the Bigfoot, in "I'm not gonna kill you because you killed my child. But I do have to kill you so no one knows I'm real!" kinda thing.
Love this movie, and not just because I grew up in Austin, and spent time in Bastrop. I've always loved monster movies. (one of my bucket list wishes is to play an extra or walk-on who gets violently massacred in a zombie/monster movie.) Great pacing, great sound, and some genuine scares and tension. I remember that it was the type of found footage that always kept going UP when you expect it to plateau... if that makes sense.
It's funny how you've explored two separate Bigfoot films with two wildly different tones. It'd be cool to possibly do a deep dive into the history of Bigfoot films or a recommended list.
Yep, 2 completely different takes on the subject matter which I really enjoyed. I do think both have merit and looking at it from a serious perspective (Letters from the Big Man) and the horror (Exists) showcases how much variety can come from 1 topic. I have an upcoming video (on a different topic) where I mention another Bigfoot movie that is an even crazier depiction of Bigfoot.
i remember when i saw the trailer for this movie. i was thinking hot dang i need to see that and finally a found footage bigfoot movie that's not going to tease me and give me what any found footage bigfoot movie should. let see us the bigfoot. the wait was worth it.
Though I’ve not seen many of the other Bigfoot films you showed. I too think it’s the BEST Bigfoot movie! 👍. Even though. I guess it does suffer from being in the shadow of that Blair Witch film! 🤔. I still think it succeeds. It does everything wright! Using the found footage approach. Showing as little as you can of the Monster! But most importantly. Creating an atmosphere of mystery, which is also SCARY! 🫣😱. I think it does so much, with so little. Which is GREAT in a film! 😊. I hope they do eventually get round to somehow doing the squeal! I for one will definitely be following his process after you highlighted this film! 😊. Fingers crossed for the Squeal! THEY EXIST!🤞🏻

Saw this last year, I think. Heard about it and found that Netflix had it so I checked it out. It was indeed a good film, and I'm saying that as someone who is not especially fond of found footage works (they're just not my thing). Probably the only real issue I have with the film is the cliche of "why isn't there a third" (given the premise of why they're being attacked and all) but that's a minor gripe for a pretty decent film. Definitely recommend watching this.

This movie was much better than I expected.
Absolutely adore this series it bellows my mind how thorough your research always is! Love it Cecil
Thank you!
Perfect timing, going to friends’ uncle’s cabin this weekend. Bringing this for movie night.
You should also bring Things.
I saw this flick thanks to your earlier recommendation and really enjoyed it. So glad you did an exploring episode. Thanks.
One of the best channels on YT been following for years
Thanks so much!

I watched this movie on your recommendation Cecil and it did not disappoint. I was glued to the screen, great flick!!
I'm in the same boat as you, 10 years late.
But damn am I glad to be here nonetheless.

Always a pleasure to see a GBF video up. Thanks for everything Cecil, you deserve a larger audience. Please don't ever give up on this dream

I had no expectations for this movie and I loved it. It scared me.
criminally underrated
Yes! A New Exploring! 🎉🙌🤘

One of the best of all the Bigfoot films
Bigfoot in the Six Million Dollar Man may not have looked great, but he was no monster. He had heart.
I never knew about this, but you sold me on it.

Love that film of Bigfoot. Coolest.
Always enjoyed this one even if I could never remember the title... the bigfoot looks great. They just need Les Stroud there too protect them!
Glad to hear that they did put in the music. I'm afraid that it would've been too realistic, in a bad way. Again, best found footage film ever.
Watched this movie because one recomendation on a older video and really enjoy it.

This is actually one of the best Bigfoot horror movies (if not, the best). The Bigfoot suit/practical effects aren't terrible either.
Brian Steele also worked on Hellboy as the Samaels. 😁
There's a theory that they made this movie to get the sasquatch community to reveal itself by suing the filmmakers for slander.
It's far from been the greatest big foot movie but the 1980 'Night of the Demon' still has the greatest scene of any big foot movie 😳
Red Letter Media did it on one of their Halloween episodes, didn't need to see him making that face!
It's all Brandon Tenold's fault I know what you are talking about!
