My wife and I are 80 and 79 years old, we had the pleasure of seeing Nightwish in New York two years ago....My wife had never been to a Metal concert, she didn't want to go, but after seeing this Band, and Floor, she said this was the most Magical concert that she was ever at....She fell in love with Floor, and said you can't take your eyes away from her, and has the best female voice she has ever heard....Great reaction, Bob from New Jersey
My wife did not get my sudden infatuation with Nightwish a few years ago, but was completely sold after watching both pandemic virtual live streamed concerts back in 2021. Unfortunately she didn't use the ticket I got her for the Montreal show in 2022(pandemic concerns), but just as well as I don't think the opening act would have been her thing. She would want to see Floor's solo show if it came to our area.
I was also at the Terminal 5 gig. It was a shame we didn't get Marko, but the show was amazing, nonetheless. Getting to see them perform The Greatest Show On Earth is now one of the most cherished moments of my life... \m/
It's so cute to hear you go on about Nightwish. I can, with the utmost certainty, assure you that around the world, people watching this are just nodding their heads and remembering when their souls found Nightwish. What a lot of people don't realize is that one of the most attractive things about them as a group, besides the greatest composing of our times, is that nobody performs above another ... they each offer exactly what is best for the song. Nobody shows off, nobody plays "look at me", they support each other, they love each other ... and it comes through the music and lands in your heart. The one person who thought they were above the band, as a whole, was fired, and it was traumatic, but they improved. So glad you've become "one of us!" This band deserves every single accolade they get.
Yes he can sing. So maybe you should react to their tribute to Pink Floyd and the song High Hopes, live, End of an era from 2005. There he really shines. And so do Emppu (guitar) in two solos.
I cannot agree more! I honestly prefer the Nightwish version, primarily due to the emotional depth he puts into the vocals. Also, his performance of The Islander from the Tampere 2015(I believe) concert, was amazing.
It is because she is a crazy-person (in the best way), this song is not meant to be pelted since the amount of breath control you need for that is astronomical, but being the crazy-person she is, that is exactly what she does instead of the original head-voice way it was sung by Tarja There is also a reason for this, Floor's headvoice is not as soft as Tarja's, so doing this whole song super high in bright head-voice can become a bit overbearing. So she decided to pelt it instead, where her voice is divine to listen to, but insanely hard to keep up for a song like this In some live performances even she does run out of breath towards the end of this song, which is most likely why even she has said that

Mr.& Mrs. Coach, can you imagine ANY other band performing this song, and sounding any better than Nightwish....I very much doubt it. And so do you. Thank you for letting Nightwish into your hearts.
Hello again Coach and Mrs. Coach. I'm 67 years old and I found Nightwish a little over 3 years ago and fell in love with this band. Carol, my wife of 43 years, and I travelled from Phoenix to San Francisco to see them perform live at the Warfield Theatre on May 18th, 2022. The show was spectacular from start to finish. Loved this reaction and keep them coming.
Mrs. Coach just utterly mesmerized, and Coach was like “Damn, girl…just DAMN!” (Floor) in so many spots. Yep, that was fun! -NW Army, western NC Battalion
Ai’m 52 y old guy finland and seen Nightwish when tthey goes world since 1996 . And i’m proud of NW🇫🇮 By the way bass singer Marco Hietala’s big brother Zachary Hietala is guitar virtuose. Marco and Zachary have own pump/band called TAROT. Found youtube ❤
Dear Mr and Mrs Coach, we all have been there once. The first time. Hearing. Experience. Emotions. Overwhelming. Mesmerising. Floorgasmes. Nightwish is special. Nightwish has IT. Nightwish does it. Over and over again. You both are officially members/soldiers/recruiters of the Nightwish Army. Just spread the word( family, friends, neighbours, colleagues). Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤘🫡
Nightwish has the rather unique ability to appeal to everyone. I dont think Ive ever met someone who actually dont like them and Ive been blasting their music since 1996. I think its a combination of things. First of all, No one can hear a Nightwish song and NOT understand that these are absolute masters of their craft and thats appealing to people, even if its not something your normally interested in you still admire their skill and dedication. Scondly, it IS metal, but there is alot of pop, classic and foolk music influences in there. Theyve kinda taken some things from almost very genre and spliced it into their metal so there is always ahint of _something_ someone likes in there. Third, Its a very exclusive sound. Unless you are from northern Europe, the vast majority of people has never heard aything quite like it. If youve heard nightwish, it would be REALLY hard to mistake one of their songs for some other band, even if its asong youve never heard before, you would very likely be able to tell its Nightwish. This makes it kind of exsotic to alot of people, its exciting. And last but not least... their songs are *catchy* as all hell Another contributing factor if you have th video and not just the sound is their charisma. Theyre always absolutely extatic o be there. They LOVE doing this and they LOVE ther audence. The Army is one of the largest groupd of ride or die superfans in the world. There are bands out there with alot more fans but most are "casual" fans. Ive never met a casual Nightwish fan, they are insanely dedicat4d and loyal to a T, every single one of them. Thats not just the music, thats an intimate connction stemming from the fans actually being genuinely apprciated and being _show_ they are appriciated. You can come along way by just being a pleasant person and when I see Emppu grinning from ear to ear like a kid on christmas while shredding before giving high fives and tossing a whole pocket full of guitar picks to the audience its so obviously genuine happiness. God bless them all. They ar what every musician should strive to become.
Greetings from UK. By all means feel free to listen to the songs in whatever order you choose. The only thing I would say is please DON'T do 'The Poet and The Pendulum' yet until you have learned a lot more about the band and their history. TPATP is about the first singer (Tarja Tarunen) being fired and the aftermath that NightWish had to deal with. It is a very deep and meaningful song and is very personal to Tuomas (keyboard and the main founder of the band)
A song about an ideal love, one of my favorites. Not a frown in the whole band, performing this song. After years of listening to Nightwish and getting to know the band members better, watching interviews with Tuomas Holopainen about the creative process, I understood that the uniqueness of each of their songs starts from the composition, from the choice of means in which the idea of the song is expressed, and only then to the interpretation, as the uniqueness of each type of plant starts from the seed. It's an organic process that ultimately leads to that impression of unique individuality of each of their songs. I'm glad that you two are open to their music from the first listen, because this contributes to the validation of my own openness to Nightwish. Like you, I didn't consistently listen to metal until this band, and now I hardly listen to anything else.
" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today. "Ever Dream" was certified with Gold Disc in Finland two days after its release, with more than 5,000 copies sold, and later received Platinum Disc with more than 10,000 copies sold.
Can't wait to watch you guys react to some of their more emotional songs... The Poet and the Pendulum, Dead Boy's Poem, Sleeping Sun (Tampere version pleeease!), How's the Heart? (Planet Rock version)... the list goes on. Keep up the good work!
In case it hasn't been posted a hundred time before, Marco won the Finland version of The Masked Singer a few years ago. He has also done a couple fine guest appearances with Delain.
Nightwish has no amateurs, all members are top-notch, the best you can find; Marko Hietala, Singer and bassist, is a legend himself. He is dearly missed in the band.
Such a great song 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Now you need a Leo Moracchioli beard, Coach 😂😂😂😂 You got that right about Marko's botched surgery. Great Marko songs are High Hopes (Pink Floyd tribute End Of An Era concert), The Islander from the Tampere concert and While My Lips Are Still Red from the Wembly concert 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Floor is an enchantress - she draws you in, enthralls and seduces you. And Marko is also a wonderful talent, both on the bass and vocals - you will see & hear more of him over time if you continue this journey. The whole band is incredible .... they make me grin like a maniac one minute, then bring tears to my eyes the next. Tuomas is a genius of epic proportions, and in Floor (along with the rest of the band) he has the perfect tool to manifest his vision and present something truly extraordinary.
Madame, you got good taste. Bon Jovi is one of my favourite bands, Nightwish is my all-time Favourite 😍 💕 Hail the Valkyrie Goddess and her Brothers ❤️ 😇 🤘
Realistically, Coach is correct about the genre being "Nightwish." They have incorporated so many different influences, styles, textures and colors into their music that they really have become a genre unto themselves. Here are a few songs that I think Mrs. Coach especially will enjoy: "While Your Lips Are Still Red" live at Wembley, "The Islander" live at Tampere, "Alpenglow" live at Wembley, "My Walden" live at Tampere, and "Dead Boys Poem" live at Buenos Aires. I believe all are on Gabriel's list. ☮❤
Can't wait you guys listening Weak Fantasy, Wish I had an Angel, 7 days to the wolves, Yours is an empty hope, Ghost river, Last ride of the day, Shudder before beautiful, Song of myself etc. Sooooooo good stuff coming up 🙂 You're great!
A few years ago, i introduced my wife's 70-something mother to Nightwish, and she showed my wife's father. And they got so hooked we wound up traveling together to see them on the last US tour. (And good thing - the band announced they're not planning to tour the next album, dropping here soon.) Great job, and Rock On! 🤘😎👍
One of my NW favorites ❤with 'Song of Myself'. That Jukka's double kicking 🥁I miss him so 🥺But Tuomas (keyboards) our metal Mozart, I am so waiting for their 10th album this year.
The way this concert was being filmed is amazing, it captures the whole vibe perfectly. ❤ Fun to watch this "together" with you, i remember how amazed i was when i first heard Floor's Ghost Love Score version (i knew Floor from her After Forever journey -Saw them in The Netherlands- and stopped listening Nightwish when Tarja left😅)
This is my favorite version of my favorite NW song. I can still play it on guitar and bass and, at one time, could play it on drums. It's probably the romantic in me. It's a bit funny that Mrs. Coach said Marco and Floor were meant to sing together. As of this writing, Marco either is or was quite recently performing with Tarja, Nightwish's original singer. I didn't see that reunion coming, but I'm glad it happened.
To be very honest here! I love the fact the two of you give honest reactions! Being a real Nightwish-fan, I suggest, means that one strongly believes in trying to live an honest life, where love, depth, poetry and trying to be an empathic and meaningful human being, really sets the tone.
We try to be good people overall, although we have faults as do all humans. Seems like a lot of the Nightwish fans are similar in that regard because it seems like a good group of people.
11:28 Jukka "the drumer" is in the hous!!!! 11:35 Jukka starts the engine(double bass drum) and floor is unstoppable the light show goes on... i love the drums.. nice greeting from Nightwish Army Germany
The moment you said ''Informative Comments'', I thought 'he especially means General Gabe' lol. Glad you listened to this one, it's my favourite! Yep Marko can definitely sing! If you haven't heard them yet you should listen to The Islander, that's mostly him, or Ghost River, he and Floor do some notes in that one. When you get to Greatest Show on Earth, that too.
As viewers it’s nice to have folks like yourselves do an absolutely honest reaction and yes yours feels very genuine. As for nightwish, they are as a genuine group as they come! I picked up on that with them too as you have stated here to this song reaction. Their performance alone proves their individual talent to be so captivating for whatever reason. I say that in the greatest respects to all the bands and music if either a huge fan for or like in my time of 50 some odd years. Yes Floor’s and Marco’s voices are incredible together which puts the icing on the cake. In an interview (hopefully you get interested to know them more individually) said that Floor is the is the easiest singer he’s had to work with on the 🎤. The training from both and the professionalism by both give us that end result. It’s incredible that Floor at the point of the Waken concert sang songs she wasn’t recorded or built with the band. She took over as the lead singer midway thru their world tour. Complete amazing of a talent she is. Then Marco having the ability to sing with all 3 singers is another feet in its self. And not disregarding the rest of the band, they to are the cream of the crop of unbelievable talent. I could go on and on about this band but I’d typing for an hr or more to say how much this band means to me. But I’m sure you both are beginning to understand from all our army has shared up to know. This band is as humbled as you’ll get. They perform music because they’re all in it for the love and to perform live to the fans. And it shows on stage and how they conduct themselves off. Hopefully as you dig deeper you both can watch their documentaries. And yes the love for the band will grow. Enjoying your journey and this lates reaction. Yes our general has sent a list to review but don’t feel you have to follow it to a T. Some reactors will veer off course because something has tickled your fancy to see/ hear🤟
Great comment. We think there is something very special about their fans as well. There are very few that have been so warmly welcoming. We truly appreciate it. 🙏
Marco can SING. High Hopes was mentioned, also Ave Maria (yes, that Ave Maria) with Floor, Phantom of the Opera with Tarja, the Islander, Kiss While Your Lips are Still Red at Wembley, this his band Tarot, collabs with Delain, Ayreon, Exit Eden, for harder sound Master Passion Greed and Tarot's Wings of Darkness, Nightwish's Ghost River, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, etc
Story time with Mrs. Coach! Oh that was fun! This was wonderful, dynamic and powerful, sounding so immense! Not the kind of thing I personally reach for when I press the play button, but I can not deny these wonderful vibes!
One of the songs that all 3 lead singers have sung. From the 2002 4th album Century Child, first record with Marko on bass. The studio version didn't start out 'softer', they made that change when they took it live. Eventually check out the live version of this with Original singer Tarja Turunen in Helsinki 2005 (End of an Era DVD). It doesn't matter which lady sang it, Marko's vocal parts really makes the song for me.
This Wacken 2013 concert, is one of the best concerts of all time! I watch it every year 1-2 times and i get always goosebumps... They did a DVD from this concert called "Showtime, Storytime"! It would be great, to react on my absolute favorite song of Nightwish: The greatest show on earth - its a more than 20 minutes long piece of art about the emergence of life on earth! There are 2 fantastic live version out there: Wembley 2015 - with Richard Dawkins at the End and a very special instrumantation and the other one is Tampere 2015, with a fantastic fireworks synchronized with the story of the earth :) Maybe do some research about the lyrics before - if you want.
Hi, I'm pushing 47 years young! I'm an old school metal head with the idea that Mozart, Beethovan, Vivaldi etc... they were metal before electronic instruments. Thomas, via Nightwish, the late actor Sir Christopher Lee earlier, put the old in the new, glorious musical artistic expression!
There seems to be a switch that flips in Floor when she's in front of a crowd. An internal light just pours out of her thru her expressions AND vocals. Probably a combination love for the fans, love from the fans, and the enjoyment and excitement of performing with her band mates. Maybe I'm being a fan boy but it's pretty hard to miss
My dear Coaches, another great reaction. Thanks for highly entertaining 15 minutes with my favorite band. And you are somewhat right. Floor and Marko were meant to be together. But, I highly recommend watching Markos newest release from only a few weeks ago: 'Left on Mars' (th-cam.com/video/1TgQOj3rwzE/w-d-xo.html). It is the first collaboration with Tarja Turunen, the original Nightwish vocalist, since her removing from the band in 2005. And this also sounds so perfect. So, one could argue that these two are also meant to be together. But I guess if you mix extraordinary quality with extraordinary quality, something extraordinary will happen... Regardless of the artists involved. On a sidenote: It is great to see how time heals all wounds, 'cause at the time Tarja was still with Nightwish, it was always rumored that Tarja and Marko didn't got along well...
That's very well said about mixing extraordinary talent. Good to see that if there was some friction there that they have resolved it. We truly appreciate you and all of the Nightwish Army.
Thanks for entertaining me with Nightwish & a song that is about longing for a connection with a person one loves.despite the possibility of failure, suggesting that one should never give up on the hope of finding true love. P.S. Marko has never regained his clean falsetto vocals after a surgeon damaged a nerve leading to Marko's vocal chords.
It,s was a great weekend in Wacken with 200,000 metal fans. Nightwish has been in business for some years and is well known among enthusiasts in Europe. It's nice to see that they are now also being appreciated outside Europe.

Nightwish connects emotionally with us and there is nobody better then Tuomas in bringing out how we feel thru Floor and Nightwish
Truly GREAT musicians paired with one of the great composers AND poets of our time. A *damn* tough combination to beat!
Tuomas has said something like: "Music is what emotions sound like".
Awesome that you got to see them live.
Your wife and you have so much more to come...There is nothing like Nightwish! going wild out in the wild....
I found this group during Covid. It helped me get through(I’m a nurse in Texas) and I was able to see them live in 2022! It was awesome!
That's awesome. We appreciate what you do! 🙏
@@CoachCastTV Thank you! That is so sweet. 🙂
I found them in Covid as well. I heard GLS and fell for them right away. Floor's voice blew me away.
I would recommend taking a shortcut on Gabriel's list an hop over to "7 day to the wolves" live at Wembley to enjoy some Floor-Marko-harmonics.
Coach spot on,Nightwish is the genre.
The Greatest Show on Earth live in Tampere 👍
Mrs. Coach just utterly mesmerized, and Coach was like “Damn, girl…just DAMN!” (Floor) in so many spots. Yep, that was fun!
-NW Army, western NC Battalion
LOL, pretty good summation.
He (Marko) cannot only sing - he is one of the best in this genre!!
Most singers would be happy to belt one or two good notes during a song - here Floor belts over half the song, and isn't even short of breath.....
Marko also
@@richardmead5969 Indeed, Marko also.
Not only belt the hell out of her for this song, she still has to sing 8 songs then ghost love score and 2 more before ending the concert. Incredible.
The reason why many Non Metal Heads take a huge liking to Nightwish is that nearly all (98%) their songs are so "LISENABLE" Great reaction coaches
Ai’m 52 y old guy finland and seen Nightwish when tthey goes world since 1996 . And i’m proud of NW🇫🇮
By the way bass singer Marco Hietala’s big brother Zachary Hietala is guitar virtuose. Marco and Zachary have own pump/band called TAROT. Found youtube ❤
that rhythm section that nightwish has with this song will pick up the pace twice
Dear Mr and Mrs Coach, we all have been there once. The first time. Hearing. Experience. Emotions. Overwhelming. Mesmerising. Floorgasmes.
Nightwish is special.
Nightwish has IT.
Nightwish does it.
Over and over again.
You both are officially members/soldiers/recruiters of the Nightwish Army. Just spread the word( family, friends, neighbours, colleagues).
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤘🫡
Thanks! We appreciate you! 🙏
A Song of Myself next time if you like their voices play together, this is the song for both of you!!
Symphonic metal ❤❤
Belated greetings from a member of the Aussie contingent!!!
Hello there!
Nightwish Army here... don't you dare to stop that song again at the bes...... ...... ..... t part. Dammit. Still love you ♥
🤣
Nightwish is like a family songs are like story's
It's always amazing watching people discover Marco; he is truly a great talent.
And last but not least... their songs are *catchy* as all hell
Another contributing factor if you have th video and not just the sound is their charisma.
Nicely said.
A real balade❤ for you is While your lips are still red live at Wembley 2015.
And sleeping sun
Yes, that is a little softer song😁😁
Yeah, this is very different from anything we've heard before.
Thanks so much!
In case it hasn't been posted a hundred time before, Marco won the Finland version of The Masked Singer a few years ago. He has also done a couple fine guest appearances with Delain.
"Ganstas Paradise"!
Love your Commant great againe :) For me best live band in the World.🤘🤘🤘🤘
Nightwish has no amateurs, all members are top-notch, the best you can find; Marko Hietala, Singer and bassist, is a legend himself. He is dearly missed in the band.
Just finished editing the next one coming from Nightwish and saw your comment. You are correct...true professionals.
Such a great song 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Now you need a Leo Moracchioli beard, Coach 😂😂😂😂
You got that right about Marko's botched surgery.
Great Marko songs are High Hopes (Pink Floyd tribute End Of An Era concert), The Islander from the Tampere concert and While My Lips Are Still Red from the Wembly concert 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
😁👍
I’ve been saying that for a while also. They are a genre of their own. ❤😊
nice, thank you
(for diff. : try "My Walden" or "Weak Fantasy" of course from Nightwish, See on General Gabriel's List for a good one)
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 and again well done
Floor is an enchantress - she draws you in, enthralls and seduces you. And Marko is also a wonderful talent, both on the bass and vocals - you will see & hear more of him over time if you continue this journey. The whole band is incredible .... they make me grin like a maniac one minute, then bring tears to my eyes the next. Tuomas is a genius of epic proportions, and in Floor (along with the rest of the band) he has the perfect tool to manifest his vision and present something truly extraordinary.
Madame, you got good taste. Bon Jovi is one of my favourite bands,
Nightwish is my all-time Favourite 😍 💕
Hail the Valkyrie Goddess and her Brothers ❤️ 😇 🤘
The Mrs. Will absolutely go crazy for Dead boys poem, live Buenes Aires 2018
He should be able to play that guitar, it's named after him. ESP EV-1, EV standing for Emppu Vuorinen. The guy playing the guitar.😃
Nice!
Marko also won the masked singer of Finland.
7 Days To The Wolves live at Wembly
Soldier from that state UP NORTH!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
MICHIGAN!!!
Coach is always right. 🤣
Thanks. We're looking forward to it, also.
That's very cool. Nice you got to see them with family.
This is probably my favorite of the songs written for the previous vocalists
Bass player / singer Marco Hietala. Look from internet his 1986 on band TAROT. Finland is Heavy Metal . Kiitos Hietala!
@@CoachCastTV Yes...we keep on 'trying'😀😀😀 All the best from The Netherlands!
11:28 Jukka "the drumer" is in the hous!!!! 11:35 Jukka starts the engine(double bass drum)
and floor is unstoppable the light show goes on...
i love the drums.. nice greeting from Nightwish Army Germany
When you feel like you want that hype up you should watch the opener to this performance Dark Chest Of Wonders.
Did you know Floor is slightly over 6" foot tall closer to 6 feet 1'. And she is an Angel can't be from this Earth. 😇
This is why I call each of these members 'World-Class' at what they do (and the newer members as well).
They're exceptional, no doubt.
@@CoachCastTV Yup, yup. :)
Jukka, king of the double bass kicks!! Miss him.
Greetings from the Nightwishland a.k.a Finland 🇫🇮

Nightwish - Watch the opening of the live show first in 2013 - DARK CHEST OF WONDERS
Love the reaction. Try "Phantom of the opera" next with their first lead singer Tarja. You will enjoy.
You have got to find their Pink Floyd cover of “High Hopes. Even David Gilmour approves. His vocals are superb
Beard Wranglin' ain't easy, Mrs Coach - my niece calls me 🎅 when mine is in full effect. 😂
🤣
Very nice Coach! Y’all are becoming one of my favorites to get my Nightwish fix. Keep ‘em’ coming!
Awesome! Thank you!
You two look so sweet together, while watching the second known live perfomans ever.
The best perfomans? Ask me, and I'll tell you.
Thanks so much. We'd love to know what you reference.

Greetings from Finland
Wait for shoemaker 😊
Agree, you can see her joy doing what she does.
No1. the best - The Greatest Show On Earth
UK Army popping in for a beer and a biscuit and another great reaction
LOL! Thanks!
Another great one!. 👍
Finnish Heavy Metal with a Dutch singer. Rock!
It,s was a great weekend in Wacken with 200,000 metal fans. Nightwish has been in business for some years and is well known among enthusiasts in Europe. It's nice to see that they are now also being appreciated outside Europe.
