Andrea's Irish accent gives the song a completely different atmosphere. In such an emotional song or in a fun song, it reflects the emotion to the listener. Also, your comments were very nice. I look forward to more The Corrs analysis from you.
The thing about Andrea for me, is her nuance. I read a quote by Mutt Lange who co wrote with Andrea and produced the Corrs biggest hit “Breathless” that she had one of the best voices in “pop” Beth does a wonderful job here (she always does) in pointing up the various musical styles Andrea incorporates. All done very subtly. Andrea is not a “powerhouse belter” but a thoughtful contemplative interpreter of lyrics who conveys emotion in a way that transfers it to you allowing you the listener to feel it from within. She comes across as almost shy, sensitive and sometimes playful and seductive. I always look forward to Beth’s analyses! Also Beth’s work….Spotify and Tidal for me…is quite surprising and wonderful. What a talent in her own right!
I know I’ll be in the minority here, but I prefer this version. Don’t get me wrong, REM’s is the definitive version, and an all-time track, but there’s just something about this version…
What a beautiful version... they really cover songs respectively...and honour them..but add their own unique flavour... ❤ what a cover version is supposed to be
This is an important song. REM wrote a song to REMInd ourselves to feel Valuable. I didn't know that until I reached the age of 50. I'm 58 now and I'm comfortable being myself and I don't give a Sh*t about how anyone sees me. I'm a decent human being and I have my friends and family that surrounds me. So cares who what some negative hater thinks or says, Everybody Hurts. Sometimes.
Great Reaction Beth! I met Sharon Corr briefly in 2014 when she played on our TV station's Saturday morning show. She was very nice and professional! Have a great day!
I have always loved this performance and have listened to it so many times. It was so great to learn more about the vocals from you. Hope you will cover The Corrs again one day
This Irish family has had quite a few hits, both covers and originals. I'm partial to Angel (written for their mother after she passed away from breast cancer) and No More Cry ( for their father to be happy again and not be sad)
That makes at least 2 songs (probably more) about a mother passing. Drops of Jupiter is another one. Angel is #2 on their Borrowed Heaven album (appropriately named album).
Briefly caught their music back around 2000? But life was in a different place so never followed. Heard they're performing again and would love to see them in concert. Spending an entire evening listening to celtic music seems so right now. Another winner..thanks Beth! 😊
They did just complete a tour and it was excellent, I saw them in Auckland last week and they are better live than ever before. They are dedicated lifelong musicians and have taken care of their voices and skills well, and obviously have a great catalogue of hits and fan favourites - put together into a great show. Hard to believe they’re in their 50s and late 40s.
Haven't heard the Corrs in years I absolutely loved their sound back in the day. I'd love to see you react to or even cover their track "So young" Both would be epic 😊
Beth, a documentary just came out about one of the great albums ever released here in Brazil about Elis Regina and Tom Jobim. I would love to see your reaction to "Water of March". A singular, simple and perfect duet. I love u work. Gratz!

I loved them in the early 90's. While I tended to be more of a hard rock fan, my girlfriend was more into melodic, lyrical groups like The Corrs. So they were often on repeat in my car stereo. Other groups like them that suited the both of us were The Hooters and Dire Straits and The Tragically Hip.
Dear Beth- are you familiar with the fabulous Old Blind Dogs from Scotland? Their contemporary take on trad music is without compare! I’d die if you reacted to Twa Corbies done by them. There’s a great live video- everything they do is pure magic! ❤
The first time I see someone reacting to this masterpiece... I love the original from REM... but i think i prefer this cover. But yes, i'm in love with the Corrs since i heard for the first time "Only when I sleep" in 1996 (1997?)... The full concert was on TH-cam, but i didn't find it anymore... But their best concert (imo), at Landsowne Road : th-cam.com/video/FVacENMIn18/w-d-xo.html
i love this song, and also this band .... but what i really wanna know is ... did you buy that top because it matches your eyes? :D big love to all people :)
Beth, I recommend ALCEU VALENÇA .... CORAÇÃO BOBO (Silly Heart) ..... th-cam.com/video/orVPvYepFJA/w-d-xo.html .... Alceu Valença is a great brazilian artist, singer and songwriter .... he has a 50-years career .... CORAÇÃO BOBO is a FORRÓ, typical Brazilian music style ....
I'm not sure the super polished style of and vocals really suit this song tbh. I love many Corrs songs just as I love many REM songs and respect them both. While this didn't destroy the song by any means I just don't think it was a good match.
I always felt that Sharon and Carolyn Corr were underated and obfuscated in the group despite their imense individual talents. Even ss fanserv8ce they were often put on the background due to the constant proeminence of Andrea.
sharon and caroline had all the privileged to be a lead singer but they wait for andrea to graduate to be the lead singer. in fact in andrea's memoir she and her mother thought of going to college for a more stable future just like caroline said they all fell to their natural role...they are all equally credited and equal shares..sharon has her solos...and caroline dont want to have her own solo it never crossed her mind, she was awarded for her drumming skill beating out male contenders. just watch their concerts and focused on whoever is your favorite
Dislike for your constant cuts to the song and unnecessary comments, the song is beautiful but with your constant and unnecessary cuts nothing is appreciated.
That whole live session was amazing - "Radio" was my favourite from the songs they played...
Andrea's Irish accent gives the song a completely different atmosphere. In such an emotional song or in a fun song, it reflects the emotion to the listener. Also, your comments were very nice. I look forward to more The Corrs analysis from you.

Thanks so much John and so glad you enjoyed my music! :)

I also prefer this version.
I'm with you too.
Minority or not "your not alone".
So do I ; this cover is a great version with the beautiful voice of Andrea ! Magnificent !
The best version ever !!!!

I could listen to The Corrs all day.
That was a nice blast from the past. I love the way you can hear her Irish accent while singing. Thanks 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
This was a beautiful cover! I really enjoyed it as well as your comments.
Great Reaction Beth! I met Sharon Corr briefly in 2014 when she played on our TV station's Saturday morning show. She was very nice and professional! Have a great day!
I saw them live in Portland Oregon… one of my favorites
I have always loved this performance and have listened to it so many times. It was so great to learn more about the vocals from you. Hope you will cover The Corrs again one day
Wow...We love The Corrs from Philippines❤❤❤❤❤❤
This Irish family has had quite a few hits, both covers and originals. I'm partial to Angel (written for their mother after she passed away from breast cancer) and No More Cry ( for their father to be happy again and not be sad)
"No Frontiers" from the Unplugged album is my favorite, but "Runaway" is such a classic!
That makes at least 2 songs (probably more) about a mother passing. Drops of Jupiter is another one. Angel is #2 on their Borrowed Heaven album (appropriately named album).
The first song i ever heard by the Corrs was "Breathless ". I enjoy their sound.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support!
Andrea’s voice is so beautiful

Typical Beth analysis: Knowledgeable, informative, fun to listen to. Always love coming here.
Such beautiful and talented sisters
Such amazing musicians!
I was a big fan of The Corrs back in the day. Beautiful music.
I always loved the Corrs
When family comes together magical things can happen!!:):)
She has such a pure beautiful tone,it's bringing a tear to my eye,I think I like this version better than the original!💘💘💘
Beth, a documentary just came out about one of the great albums ever released here in Brazil about Elis Regina and Tom Jobim. I would love to see your reaction to "Water of March". A singular, simple and perfect duet. I love u work. Gratz!
Beautiful sums this one up perfectly Beth.
My favourite band ever ❤ thank you

Massive fan for 25 years. Andrea’s voice is so different.
i used to listen to this when i go to bed. nice reaction, Mrs. Amy Adams
Please do Iris Dement's song Our Town.

Nice-for a cover 🥀🪐 Brian Birch
petition for more VHS style transitions
who doesn't wanna roll up into a ball once in a while and unfold into something new?
React to them singing with Bono. “Strawberry wine” and “When the star go blue”.
#15 on Best of the Corrs.
love to see you react to Run away by the corrs or dreams or linger by the cranberries
You're showing your more darker side in this video.
And i feel you 🤷♂️
I like your program but first better the u allow to listen to the song first then go for ur comment 😍

Never better. This is to be played at my cremation.
I'd love to see a reaction to Enya.
Here you go! th-cam.com/video/aG1uZvbTI2E/w-d-xo.html
i love this song, and also this band .... but what i really wanna know is ... did you buy that top because it matches your eyes? :D big love to all people :)
I love this version so much ❤ and I have to admit I did had big big crush on those beautiful ladies 🤭🥰
Hearing Andrea sing is fantastic then the "Vocal Coach" sounding like a strangled cat ruins it
Remember when this came out wanted to hate it was REM’s are so good but its actually ok as cover version go
Here's a thought: Sharon should sing more.
Can you do a reaction to K.D. Lang - Constant Craving?
Andrea Corr was the opposite of Kurt Cobain. Both were absolutely amazing, but Kurt made you hurt, she makes you feel better.
Request so far away - avenged Sevenfold
Next diana krall cry me a river

thanks for this i enjoy it! Did u try to react to Jazmine Sullivan? u'll gonna be shocked.
Dislike for your constant cuts to the song and unnecessary comments, the song is beautiful but with your constant and unnecessary cuts nothing is appreciated.
Yeah I’m just not digging it, there’s a certain emotion and feel when R.E.M. does it
This is a travesty of the R.E.M. song and to add to that, if you are going to listen to Irish Bands, there are so many better than The Corr's
The song is bad u are very good
