    SVS PRIME PINNACLE BACKGROUND:
    The ultimate expression of what SVS sought to accomplish with its Prime Series speakers, Prime Pinnacle delivers audiophile refinement and musicality without sacrificing wide dynamic range; deep, effortless bass and all the excitement of a world-class loudspeaker.
    Deploying multiple cost-no-object design elements, Prime Pinnacle features an all-new driver array with all-new 5.25-inch midrange, three 6.5-inch woofers housed in separate ported sub-enclosures and a high-performance 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. Prime Pinnacle’s all-new midrange includes a glass-fiber composite cone and other design elements from the reference SVS Ultra Series speakers to ensure an expansive soundstage with accuracy, slam and impact.
    Prime Pinnacle’s trio of woofers deliver massive output and impressive low frequency extension to lay the sonic foundation for all audio content. Engineered to convey the full thrill and excitement of cinematic blockbusters yet refined enough to render the pluck of a bass guitar string and subtlest musical details with convincing realism, Prime Pinnacle delivers a bold full-range listening experience with all audio content. By using three 6.5-inch woofers, each with its own 2-inch port, the new floorstanding speaker effortlessly conveys LFEs and musical bass, while maintaining a slim, room-friendly footprint.
    Three unique port tuning frequencies and separate sub-enclosures for the trio of 6.5-inch woofers epitomize the no compromise approach taken with Prime Pinnacle. This design ensures all drivers blend seamlessly together so you get silky-smooth transitions from the midrange to woofers as well as accurate frequency response, audiophile refinement and crisp speed in transients; all without sacrificing deep, room-energizing bass.
    Crystal clear highs with lifelike realism emanate from the 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. Light and efficient, the tweeter’s airy’ presentation effortlessly reveals musical and cinematic details with unerring clarity and accuracy, even at reference volume. The FEA-optimized diffuser ensures broad dispersion for a wide and convincing soundstage with pinpoint on- and off-axis frequency response so everyone in a home theater or listening room is treated to the same world-class audio experience.
    Unique to SVS, the SoundMatch 3-Way crossover is tuned so each driver; from tweeter to midrange and midrange to woofers, blends seamlessly for an expansive soundstage with accurate frequency response, precise imaging and the largest “sweet spot” possible. The crossover’s topology is consistent with all SVS speakers so Prime Pinnacle is timbre-matched to integrate with any speaker from the acclaimed Prime or Ultra Series for the ultimate flexibility when building a home theater speaker system.
    Sonically inert and rigidly braced, Prime Pinnacle’s cabinet includes four self-contained, acoustically tuned internal chambers to eliminate any potential for resonances or sonic artifacts. Tapered edges on the Prime Tower speaker’s front baffle, known as chamfers, and flush-mounted drivers minimize edge diffraction for a clear and precise soundstage, while features like shorting rings and a tweeter diffuser provide acoustic enhancements with modern, high-end visual appeal.
    A classically striking tower speaker design, Prime Pinnacle has a rated bandwidth of 29Hz-25kHz (+/-3dB) and features 5-way binding posts and a cloth grille with pin/cup retention system. The floorstanding speaker comes in a stunning Piano Gloss Black finish or premium Black Ash wood grain finish.

    I absolute love my SVS Ultra speakers. So far I have the Ultra Center, and the Ultra bookshelf's as my left and right speakers with a PB-2000 sub. I have demoed my setup with music, movies, and games to all my friends, family and even some of my co-workers. Every single one of them had their jaws drop at how clear the voices sound, how hard the bass hits, and how room filling the sound is. My goal is to get an all SVS 5.2.2 system in place which I can't wait to hear. All I can say is thank you Gary Yacoubian and all the people that work at SVS for making such amazing products. Wish all the best to you Gary and the SVS team.

    I have the svs pc12 plus sub and it is amazing. I have it paired with Klipsch RF-7 II speakers. These seem like the Klipsch RF-63 speakers with 3 6.5” woofers and I never got to hear them but a lot of people say they sound great and nothing like a typical Klipsch speaker. I wish you luck svs with your new speaker and if it is anything like your sub, I’m sure it is something special.

    I am a new SVS customer and I’m completely sold. I am running a stereo setup using the Prime Soundbase, Prime bookshelf, and a pair of SB1000 subwoofers. I hate to sound like a commercial, but I didn’t know my music could sound this good. I guess if I had a big pile of cash I could throw at it, I could probably come up with something that sounds better, but it’s hard to imagine I could do any better.

    I have these hooked up to the Sony STR-DH550 and they sound amazing. I upgraded to Denon receiver s970h thinking I could get even better and it was a major downgrade. I actually went on eBay and bought one of the last new Sony 550 still in the box because I know mine will crap out eventually, the 145 wattage really makes these speakers shine even if actual measured wattage is a little lower.

    I live in a townhouse and my living room shares a wall with neighbor. What would be best for home theater without disturbing neighbors. I was looking at these prime pinnacles without a subwoofer vs ultra bookshelves with a subwoofer (possibly dual subs gain set low). Would these pinnacles go low enough for movies. What would you recommend?

    • @SVS_Sound
      @SVS_Sound  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Prime Pinnacles can go down to around 35 Hz, which is plenty low for most movies. If you did want a little extra bass, you could opt for a 3000 micro or SB-1000 Pro with the Isolation System to reduce room vibrations and bass being heard in adjacent rooms.

    I would like to know what would be the proper choice for a small listening room 12 by 14ft, Prime or the Pinnacle. Not for home theatre just strictly for 2 channel music. i will be using a Sansui G 8000 receiver 120 watts. Thanks for your help!

    • @SVS_Sound
      @SVS_Sound  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - For a room of that size, Prime Towers would have plenty of output to fill the space. Upgrading to Pinnacles would get you deeper low frequency extension and a fuller soundstage from the extra woofer and more capable midrange driver.

  • @BenjiGator23
    @BenjiGator23 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks amazing... How easy will they be to drive for a 3.1 channel setup? Would I need external amplification or would any modern AVR like Denon work?

    • @SVS_Sound
      @SVS_Sound  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A normal Denon AVR will work great - the Pinnacle can be driven by any receiver or amp putting out between 25-300 watts.

    How does the Pinnacle and ultra towers compare to the new goldenear Triton one.r towers?

  • @wilfredkioko2669
    @wilfredkioko2669 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the pinnacle had two 8 inch bass drivers, a midrange driver and a tweeter housed in a cabinet with a physical presence (at least 43inches tall) it would be an instant hit. I love the pinnacles but I want RP 8000f version of the same. Pinnacles are good looking, seem to have great specs but are too tiny.

    • @SVS_Sound
      @SVS_Sound  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apologies for the delayed response. Depending on your room layout, I would recommend the Pinnacles since they are easier to place and would give you a greater midrange presence over the Ultra Bookshelf speakers. Biggest difference between Ultra Towers and Pinnacles is dynamic output and low frequency extension, but with dual PB13s, that shouldn't be an issue.

  • @moveezy5591

      @@SVS_Sound I would actually love an ultra tower with the same MTM but perhaps a compromise to some extent on the low end for space constraints. I have ultra bookshelfs and center as front soundstage, 4 prime elevations ceiling mounted and ultra surrounds on way, pb-2000 also going to upgrade to dual pros. I would love to complete the 7.2.4 ultra set with towers but honestly dont think i have room, I have considered the pinneacles but i feel bumping ultra bookshelfs to rear surround for even the best prime speaker a bit of a step backwards no? So Im considering just getting 2nd pair of ultra bookshelfs for rears also what do you think of the 3 options? Ultra towers but a bit space constrained or pinneacles? Either way ultra surround as side and then ultra bookshelf goes to rear, or just ultra bookshelf for mains and rear? medium sized room sorry for the long post .

      The Pinnacles are actually generally described as the opposite (warm) by every professional reviewer I’ve seen due to the subtle roll off at high frequencies. I would agree they are less bright than say B&Ws. I love the sound signature of the Pinnacles. The tweeters aren’t too bright that it’s fatiguing, but they still have excellent clarity and detail, even at low volume.
